  1. Look at the 1/4 inch lines coming from each tank to a manifold near the steering and see if there is any loose or cracked connections. The low pressure warning sender is on a manifold in that area. I think the tubing is yellow.
  2. I talked to David at Commercial Truck Parts and does he know his stuff. The first thing he said is he never works on motorhomes. I said I didn't want him to work on it but just explain how all the air lines go and which ones had pressure. He did and I trouble shot my system and determined it was the D2 modulator. 20 minutes to change it. Thanks
  3. Thanks for telling me about Commercial Truck Parts. They had the knowledge and the parts. What threw me off track was the misinformation that I got from Freightliner. They told me the sense line came from the dryer and if I didn't have pressure there the dryer was plugged up. Totally wrong. Thanks to everyone for assistance with my problem.
  4. Brett you were right, it was the D2. What threw me off was that Freightliner told me the sense line came from the dryer, I didn't think that was right. I was able to talk to a local truck repair shop and the mechanic knew all about the air system. He explained how it all worked so when I did my test it pointed to the governor. I bought one from them and installed it in their parking lot and it worked. I went and bought a second one for a spare. Cost was $11.25 each.
  5. Tom, how many batteries do you have? I would think they would last more than overnight. Have you put a switch on the auto defrost wire? That is a dead short when on and some come on every 8 hours. You don't need to be defrosting while boon docking.
  6. I use trailer duty tires two sizes larger, went from 13 inch wheels to 14 inch wheels.
  7. I just talked to Freightliner and they seem to think that something is plugged up in the dryer as there is no pressure in the 1/4 inch sense line. Thanks for all the help guys.
  8. Thanks Brett. I found the reg on the intake side of the comp. I took the top 1/4 inch line loose and started the eng and no air. I can't tell where the line goes but there is one on the bottom edge of the dryer. Took the line off and started the eng and no air out of the fitting. Took the fitting out of the housing and cleaned out some small particles, put it back together and still no air when eng running. I will call Freightliner in the morning.
  9. My air pressure pegs the gauges. Safety valve (150psi) is releasing air. Where is the regulator? I'm broke down in a Lowe's parking lot in Cookeville Tn. 1998 Freightliner ISB, Fleetwood Discovery.
  10. Does it have a regular plug that divides into two outlets?
  11. I just looked at Sam's Club and they have AGM 6 volt golf cart batteries for $179. I'm in Cookville Tn. No fluid needed, sealed, no corrosion.
  12. At Thousand Trails Fair Play, SC. Had perfect conditions for viewing full eclipse.
  13. Is it a VDO? If it is, I had one on my last coach. Called VDO and they sent me a chart for the dip switch positions.
  14. I would use hydrogen peroxide. Empty fresh water tank and fill hose and pour a pt of hp in the hose and then hook up to spigot and fill your tank with about 10 gallons. Run your water pump with a hot water faucet open so as to fill the hot water heater. Let it sit for and hour or two. You won't have to flush so just go ahead and use the water system normally.
  15. When I had my last coach painted they wanted to sell me Diamond Shield for $1250. I asked how much to repaint the front end and that was $825. Since they gave me touch up paint of all the colors I passed on the DS. When I sold that coach after 5 years and 45K miles, just minor touch up and it looked new.
  16. I have seen rear doors on some of the new coaches. Some have the hinge on the bottom so when it opens there are "steps" to walk down assuming the coach is still right side up.
  17. We had "business cards" printed with a picture of our motorhome and the pertinent info. We are almost out of those and we will be getting new ones made. We have recently changed coaches but since we had the identical paint job done on the new one we can still use the old cards.
  18. We'll be in Fair Play, SC at Thousand Trails. Hoping for clear skies.
  19. I redid my last coach with bamboo wood. Like was mentioned in an earlier post the core is wood not ground up newspaper. It had cork backing and was not fastened down, it was floating with a 3/8 clearance at the walls. Had it for about 4 years and still looked good when I sold it in April.
  20. I change my own tires. I bought professional tools from Ken Tool, made for changing 22.5 tires. A little more sophisticated than tire irons and a little easier.
  21. My ISB has a accumulator tank on the slober tube and returns the oil to the engine. Its a 98 275hp and was made that way.
  22. Usually the master cylinders are rebuildable. I have done many.
  23. I use Mike's Custom Painting in Bremen Indiana. He has painted 2 coaches for me and does a fantastic job. Stands behind his work 100% and very reasonable.
