Disconnect the charge controller and see if it stops the discharge. If that doesn't stop it then when the batteries a fully charged disconnect the battery cable and see if the charge remains. If not then there is a bad battery.

2007 Monaco Cummins ISC does not shut down when turning off ignition?
desertdeals69 replied to rameller's topic in Electrical
Good place to start. See if the trigger wire is live or not when the key is off. How did you stop it or is it still running? -
I installed a Aero stainless steel muffler. 4 inch in and out so I got a reducer to 3 1/2 for the inlet.

For some reason different mfg have different numbers. If your in that ballpark you should be ok.

It doesn't matter if Sprint is at full speed, the coverage is so poor across the country it doesn't work at all a lot of the time. My wife has Sprint and I have Verizon. I have used Verizon MiFi for several years with reasonably good luck. In a rural area mine works about 90% of the time and hers about 10% of the time.

But does it get better!!?

I would guess the inverter is charging too high a rate or the batteries are bad or too old. The float setting on the inverter should be about 13.2 volts.

I designed my own system with 8 100 watt panels wired 4 in series and the 2 sets in parallel to keep it under 100volt max on the MPPT controller. Total cost about $1200.

In Arizona we've got a Sou'Wester coming tomorrow. It will be in the 80s.

BF Goodrich, Continental vs. Michelin Tires
desertdeals69 replied to SamJenkins1313's topic in Tires
I've had good luck with Toyos. They cost me less than with the FMCA discount on Michelin. -
The best fish n chips I've ever had was in Hyder Alaska. The cod fish was caught that morning. The kitchen was a converted school bus located in the middle of town by a lady who's husband was the commercial fisherman. She raised vegetables in her garden for salads. The breading on the fish was crispy like a potato chip and had no grease taste. Almost worth the drive back!

The last time I checked the post office won't hold mail for more than a month. We travel 5-6 months at a time so I built a mail box that holds the mail. I have my granddaughter come by every month or two and empties it out and looks to see if there is anything important.

Roger, too bad all our problems can't be solved that easy. I won't be going to Perry but hoping to go to Gillette, if so will see you there, Bruce.

Roger, you may have to plug you shore cord into the generator outlet.

Oasis used to be a Coast to Coast and was my home park. I used to stay there quite often but since they dropped CtoC I moved on to Thousand Trails.

Hand tools, Craftsman or Snap On or ???
desertdeals69 replied to punxsyjumper's topic in General Discussion
I started as a mechanic in 1956 and in the shop was all Snap On tools. When I bought my own tools I chose Snap On. I retired in 1999 and still use my Snap On tools which are in my garage shop. I carry Craftsmen and others in my motorhome tool box. -
I'm not sure if the diesel gen has charging capacity for its own battery. I know years ago when we tried a separate battery on a gas gen the charge rate was so low that a regulator was not required because it would never overcharge.

Thats easy to fix. At the emergency start button just wire in a second button with the power source from the engine battery.
-
If the house batteries are too low to start the generator try pushing the emergency start button that parallels the eng and house batteries.

Where are they leaking? The name might be on the side of the jack.

I don't know of any off hand but there must be someone out there that knows. Maybe look online.

High winds? When do you pull over and sit it out?
desertdeals69 replied to mweiner's topic in General Discussion
I drive in 35-45 mph winds, any higher it depends on the direction its coming from whether I stop. One time back in the 70s I had a 25 ft Pace Arrow and was headed east around El Paso and had a 50 mph head wind, my mpg readout showed 2.5 to 3 mpg so I parked it for 2 days until it let up.- 30 replies

I would set the Magnum controller to 15 amp draw so to have a little cushion. Not all breakers will handle the rated load.

I would think you could get a small piece chemically analyzed and have court evidence.
