Pure Sine Wave vs Modified Sine & Refrigerators
desertdeals69 replied to sundancev's topic in Electrical
There shouldn't be any need to rewired the coach to change from modified sine wave to pure sine wave. If you go to a larger inverter you may have to increase the size of the battery cables but the ac wiring should be ok. Some refrigerators won't run on modified sine wave, you may have to test it before installation.- 53 replies

On mine the relay provides the ground to the pump. Check to see if you have 12 volt positive at the pump.

It seems like if you have a carry a spare you will never need it! -
My Visa card gives me 5% cash back on fuel, food , and pharmacy with no annual fee. Have had it for some 10 years.

If the wire has a short to it in the center someplace, when it is disconnected at both ends you will get a reading from either end and ground.

If you have very flexible hdmi cables with enough slack, they shouldn't come unplugged. I have traveled thousands of miles on bumpy roads and never had one come unplugged.

Using Front Jacks To Reduce Body Flex - True Or False
desertdeals69 replied to edmck's topic in Type A motorhomes
Don't try to level the coach side to side if the air has been dumped. If the ground is slanted and the coach is on the bump stops and you lift one side you will twist the body. The front jacks need to be down so that the body can tilt as needed. The front jacks are plumbed together so even if they are down the front can tip. -
Its odd that it is 6 volt not 12 volt. So your saying that the solenoid works ok when the small wire is disconnected. If you can't find where the trigger wire is picking up the voltage I would just run a new wire.

Alternator & A/C Pulley Not Lining Up After Replacing Brushes
desertdeals69 replied to Losciuto's topic in Engines
If you use a remote start switch you can watch the belt and bump the switch as little or as much as you need to rotate the crank. -
Take the panel out and go to the inverter and use a short cable and see if the panel works. It could be a bad cable or connector. I had that happen with my Xantrex.

After you weigh it on all four corners, the pressure on the chart is for the heavier tire(s) on the same axle. Inflate to the required pressure plus about 5%. Do the pressure cold.

They come in many lengths. I have about 4 different ones.

2001 Safari Zanzibar Parsitic Draw On Chassis Battery

Might check the big wire on the alternator. Disconnect it and see if you still have the 4 amp draw. -
Does it have a neutral in the transfer case?

Air filter for the engine is not affected too much because the engine is not running. -
Will do. I have the beads in all 6 tires, 8 oz in each of the fronts 235/80 22.5 tires and 6 oz in each rear 245/75 22.5 tires. They are smoother than the Centramatics that I had on.

Yuma Area Retirees Question
desertdeals69 replied to oldgrape's question in Destinations/Attractions
Location is great. We have lived about 158 miles north of Yuma in Lk Havasu City for 45 years and go to Yuma from time to time. Mexico is about 20 miles from Yuma and we go there for prescriptions, eye glasses, and their dental is top notch as the dentist are trained in the U.S. Dental work is about 80% less than in the U.S. -

There is dust everywhere you go in the country, thats why you have a vacuum cleaner. Some places have more some less. So what! -
When I had my last coach painted I was offered Diamond Shield for $1250. So I asked how much to repaint the front end and was quoted $850. I just sold that motorhome after 5 years and the original paint was still perfect.

desertdeals69 replied to punxsyjumper's topic in Let's Meet Up
Almost everyone that is there goes to the RV show at least once. There is a lot going on. Several flea markets, gems, rv parts, rv salvage store, etc. There are many that spend a month or more there dry camping. Remember we have self contained RVs. A lot have solar panels to keep the batteries up. -
Take you fittings apart and look for blockage.

Using a LLC in Montania... Does It Work Well?
desertdeals69 replied to buwanda's topic in Buying an RV
I read in the Denver area they started checking out the registration addresses of out of state registered RVs. They accessed fines and back due taxes and licenses and in just a few months collected more that a million dollars. Probably not worth the chance of getting caught. -
I have a set of Centramatics that I took off when I went with the beads. The beads were furnished by the mfg for me to test, I think that I will stick with the beads.

Sometimes they have 100k plus RVs. I think it made Time mag cover some years ago.
