  1. Is a 04 Silverado 1500 4x4 flat towable?
  2. If your refrigerator has an automatic switch that goes to ac when current is present, switch it manually to propane because it draws a lot of current on ac when the inverter is on.
  3. My son and girlfriend and friends were there and fortunately made it out ok. Talk to him about 30 minutes after the shooting, he was near the stage and saw a lot of the victims.
  4. Check for a bad ground. If ok run a wire from the battery to the board and check voltage assuming the battery voltage was ok when you were reading 8-10 volts at the board.
  5. One of the important things is that it will give you information of a variation in pressure of each tire as you run.
  6. Years ago I had a similar problem with interference on 12 volt. I ran a dedicated 12 volt wire from the battery and it solved the problem.
  7. Thats the way I secured mine, I have 8 panels, 100 watts each. 4 brackets per panel and 2 screws per bracket to the roof with Dicor sealer. Been up to 78 mph and the panels are still with me.
  8. I have been using on board air for 18 years, it also powers my 1 inch air wrench for changing tires.
  9. We got rid of our 32 ft diesel pusher that we used for 17 years and 150k miles. We would be in it for 5-6 months at a time. Not much extra room. We now have a 36 ft with slide and it is so much more comfortable. I would go with a Cummins engine. We have the ISB 275 and just got back from a 6k mile trip and averaged a tick over 10 mpg, 28k pounds with 1/2 Silverado.
  10. I tried to do that switch about 18 years ago and found it took to many parts and was cheaper to go to a ISB 275 which already had the 3060. The bell housing on the 4 speed was a #1 and the 3060 was a #2 if I recall correctly.
  11. It sound like one of the springs is not working. With the slide all the way in but out about an inch undo the end cap arm and hang on tight because there should be spring tension. Let it unwind slowly and count the turns. Should be around 8-10 I think. You may find no tension on one end, if so remove the screws and pull the spring assy out and see whats broken.
  12. If using a portable compressor I would use an inline drier to trap the moisture.
  13. Roger, I was waiting for your response.
  14. But they claim their on your side.
  15. I just remove the bottom bracket and use a socket on the nut. Had to do it on my current coach.
  16. I have done the conversion. It requires a fuel pump and a carb. Not hard to do. I have even changed a gas model to a propane. Those model of Onan propane use liquid so if you need to run them on a portable tank you need to use a 5 gal barbecue tank turned upside down. I don't know it a larger tank is possible to turn upside down or not.
  17. Not that difficult to do. Too bad you don't live in Az as I have a couple of new ones in my garage, you could have one!
  18. Does it stay running if the button is not released?
  19. I had that happen to my 93 Coachmen Santara. I pulled the trim off at the level of the floor and jacked the body up and lined up the body with the floor. I drilled and screwed the steel tubing to the edge of the floor. The tubing is square and you drill a larger hole on the outside for the head of the screw to go through and then a smaller hole on the inside of the tube so the head of the screw holds the side wall tube to the floor edge tube. I must have put 24 screws in a 4 foot area. Then replace the trim.
  20. I thought the ISL had a 4000 Allison.
  21. I tow a Silverado 1500 with a 96 gal diesel tank in the bed. I look on Gas Buddy for the cheapest diesel in the area and fill my truck, a lot easier to get into a small station, and then transfer to the motorhome. I carry 186 gal in the coach so I can usually wait to buy my fuel in any part of the country since I get 10 mpg. Couple that with my 5% cash rebate and I think I am buying fuel at the least expensive price.
  22. I would check with the mfg to see if they would warranty when installed in an RV. On my last coach I installed a Haier and fortunately I had made a phone call to tech service and they did not tell me that there was no warranty in a RV. In 7 months the compressor failed running on a psw 3000 watt Xantrex. They said no warranty so I told them to listen to the recording of our service phone call and they decided to cover it. I got my money back at Lowe's.
  23. To get the maximum life out of the batteries they should be removed and scrubbed down with baking soda and water solution and thoroughly dried. Its the moisture that slowly drains the charge. I would keep them in a warm dry area and have a float charger on them.
