  1. I replaced mine in a 93 Coachmen Santara with 2nd row Tahoe seats because they had arm rests on both sides.
  2. It depends on how and where its damaged and of course the price. You will have to find a buyer that is not scared of it because it has a salvage title and the repair work has to be flawless. The price when you sell it has to be cheap enough.
  3. Be sure to use a air dryer on the air line.
  4. If you are going to use cinder blocks that is the weakest way. The better way is to rotate it 90 degrees and put a 2 x 6 on the block flat and then the jack.
  5. The reason I carry a spare is in the event I need it I have it. Usually if you have a spare part with you it is never needed. I've traveled over 400K miles in 42 years in about 10 different motorhomes and had to change about 12 tires. I always carry a fire extinguisher but fortunately have never needed it.
  6. One time I did have an issue with seating the bead because the tire was stored laying flat on the floor with other tires on top of it. The beads were to close to each other. With the bottom bead in place I used duck tape between the loose bead and the wheel and it worked. I have used a ratchet strap with limited success because the tire is pretty stiff.
  7. The 22.5 wheels don't need a bead seater, just line up the bead evenly on the wheel and minimum air volume will seat it. Aluminum wheels are even easier. I've done it a number of times on the side of the road as well as at home.
  8. Probably Michelin but I don't have unlimited funds so I go with Toyos.
  9. I have always carried a spare, I won't go anywhere with out one. I my current coach, 98 Fleetwood Discovery, I mounted a spare under the propane tank along side of the engine on the passenger side. It has an electric winch to lift it into position. I have professional tire changing tools so I can mount a tire on the wheel. I use the on board air for powering the impact wrench, airing up tires, etc. I have a 1 inch air impact wrench and use my levelers to jack the coach. I have a Tire Minder transmitter on the spare so I can monitor the pressure.
  10. If you tongue weight is too much an equalizing hitch is what is needed. If sway is a problem then an anti sway system should be used.
  11. I presume your fridge is an rv type so you don't want to use it on electric because of the high amp draw compared to a household type. If you want to dry camp for 1 to 2 weeks at a time I would suggest you do a dry run in your driveway. Run everything you would dry camping, tvs, lights, furness, inverter, anything that draws current from the batteries. after the first 24 hours see where the battery charge is. If you are wanting to rely on solar only don't start the gen. If you need to reduce the amp draw, try unplugging your tvs and dvd player and any other electronics as they draw almost as much current when turned off as when on. If you can't maintain battery voltage and have to use the gen then you will have to increase you solar wattage if you don't want to run the gen.

So whats going on with the supplier of the goose eggs?
  13. All of my vehicles, motorhome, 3 Prius, 2 Silverado 1500 have lived there life in the Southwest and have zero rust underneath. Motorhome has traveled coast to coast and border to border at the optimum time of the year weather wise.

I don't think the plastic ones are 3D.
  15. I won't live or drive in weather that requires salt and other chemicals on the road.
  16. They are all trailers. How they hook to the motorized vehicle is either a bumper tow or a bed tow. The term fifth wheel was a term the sales dept dreamed up to make a trailer sound more appealing. Originally the set up was a 4 wheel pickup truck with a hitch in the bed, making it the fifth wheel. Now it doesn't make sense because most trucks are duallys so that would be a seventh wheel.
  17. Its my understanding that the cell signal is the carrier of the data. You get data on your phone that is hooked to the cell tower. When you use your phone for a hot spot it only works when there is cell signal.
  18. I use a Wilson truckers antenna with a home WeBoost with about 1-3 bar increase. I'm in Tucson Pima county fair grounds at the Freightliner rally and I am using it right now. I have the 7730L which cost me $30 month on my unlimited cell account.
  19. What I do is to fill the hose with somewhere between a pint and a quart. Then hook it up to the spigot and run about 15 to 20 gallons of water into an empty tank. Then open each faucet cold water until treated water comes out about 20 seconds, open hot at the farthest faucet for about 2 minutes and then open each other hot faucet for about 10 seconds each. Let it sit for a while and then fill up the tank and you ready to use it. Its 88 cents a quart at Walmart.
  20. I would never use bleach. I use hydrogen peroxide to treat the water, I got the info from a water quality engineer for a chemical plant. No after taste to contend with.
  21. There are other ways of towing things. I tow my boat behind my pickup for example. I have seen a receiver mounted on the front of a motorhome and would launch a boat by aiming the trailer down the ramp.
  22. In Az where we live you have to get on and off Route 66, its not a continuous road. Gas and campgrounds are available.
  23. Years ago we did Daytona over the 4th of July race. We were at the fence at the start of turn one. Got the space through NASCAR. Sat on the roof to watch the race.
  24. If it was working perfectly it wouldn't provide enough amps to do any good especially if you have more than one battery.
