As fer de toad. I didn't think we would need it. That decision can change. We have a tow dolly and I haven't towed with the MH yet. i guess we have over under estimated our driving time. We will have to change our departure time. Also agreed to use jleamont's directions after a map review. OMG, this is all new to me, I'm already freaking out.

Ocean Lakes is booked. KOA will be fine for us. I'm looking at I-495 to I-90 to I-87 to I-84 to I-81 to I-95 then go east. I think, !@#$. I would go thru NYC at night but I heard doesn't matter. Any time is bad.

For the past few years we have been in New England only with our motorhome(s). +/- 3 hr drives. We just planned a trip to Myrtle Beach in June to stay at the KOA for a week. This will be our 1st road trip outside of New England. I feel some anxiety as we never drove that far. Looks like a 15 hr ride. We figured if we leave NH Friday evening we could blast right thru NYC, if not we would go around. What do you think driving thru NYC on a Friday nite would be like, say around 10-11 pm? Not going to bring the toad.

I was following a truck that was dripping fluid out the back and it got all over the front of my truck. When I finally got the chance to pass the placard said "Corrosive", of course I lost the paint on the front on the hood a week later. Didn't get the license #. Stupid me.

We use green crabs to catch. Scup are also very good to eat. Easy to catch. Use squid for bait or sea clam. I have a 21' boat so I can get most of FMCA in it....lol

Don't forget you get a discount on the toll with the EZ Pass, well in NH you do. So the money you spend on the transponder eventually pays for itself over time. After that the discount goes in your wallet. Not much but wth.

Oh ya, I can't wait for the Easter Egg hunt on Sunday at our house. We have 8 ac to hide the eggs so that will keep them busy for a spell. 13 of 14 and 14 of 14 are just babies. We will probably spend a lot time boondocking and at small campgrounds around here. I want to go farther but the queen likes to stay close for now. The 4th at the resort outta be a treat. I call all the grand kids by #, like the Borg. They think its funny.

Snow all melted off the MH cover. I'm taking it out for a ride Saturday, actually dropping it off for some very minor warranty repairs. Our last MH (FR3) was a warranty fiasco (windshield leak, jack not working, bunk kept falling down, etc.). The GT came in alot better (windshield washers inop, compartment door lock on entertainment center don't work) thats all so far. David

I found the on line reviews and it is more kid orientated. We might have all "14" grandkids there. Yikes. Parents will have their own campsite or cottage but they will still overrun our position. I can just here it now "We want to sleep in the MH". Actually maybe not because I tease them all the time. I already have a sign for the MH door "Gone Fishing".

I'm making reservations for this resort for 4th of July week. Just wondering if anyone has stayed there before. Looks good from the website. Thanks, David

Pocono is sold out for both races. Do you know how far in advance I should try to make reservations for at any track?

That's exactly what we would like to do. Daytona looks like it is the highest $$ wise. A good travel distance but wth. That must have been wicked awesome.

Never did it but we really, really want to. However it looks like it would a distance from NH. So anyways we could use some tips on trying to set this up. Looks like Pocono is the closet for infield camping. It has to be in the infield. Are these hard to reserve? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, David

We always camp in the field. That is on a 1st come basis and have always gotten a spot. A little tight but that doesn't bother us.

I already plowed out the coach and will have to do again. The boat is buried, all that snow slides off the tarp. There is like a 4' wall around it. In fresh water I fish for SM, LM Bass and trout, In salt water it's everything that swims and legal size. We eat everything salt water. I cannot come home unless the head is intact, orders from the queen. Catch, scale, gut and fry. I fell through the ice when I was younger so I don't ice fish in the lakes. No way.
