  1. Another great dealer would be Kings Campers in Wausau WI .. Noth Central WI area but many folks from around the country are repeat customers... we swithched to them for current coach - many satisfied customers for many years.I
  2. One major concern with going to only one tire rather than dual is if... if you do have a failure / blowout, you have no possible way to avoid major damage even beyond just replacing a tire ??
  3. +many, many satified Tiffin owners from midwest and SE as to Kings in Wausau WI...great folks and customer service.
  4. That does look like my wind controller for the awning - suspect the little bulbs and number ar 12, 18, 24, etc.. Mine is however mounted in cabinet over exit door.
  5. Are you a uper? The Wisconsin Badger Chapter is a fun active group also with members from WI, IL, IA, MN,
  6. Another easy solution to prevent any 12V battery drain because of a 12V power source required by a brake system is to use a portable 12V battery booster unit.... can be gotten from anywhere in several sizes, just set on towed floor, charge back up when on shore power.. will have available to start others whose batteries were drained while towing.
  7. The solid extensions I had installed at Southside Tire cost me $5.00 each - installed..... have worked great for 4 years.
  8. I went to a truck tire store and had them put in the correct metal rigid extensons on all rear tires . They handle thousands of tires every year and I followed their reccomendations ... Work great for my Pressure Pro sensors on them.
  9. Certainly wiring the toad to the MH will take care of not running the toad battery down but... when using a battery booster unit to power the brake unit, the only parasitic drain from the toad battery should be the buzzer / chime if the doors are open ?? Maybe your towed is different..... In the Jeep, everything else is turned off when the key is in the required position so the battery lasts for days without an issue while being towed if the brake unit is powered by an auxiliary source.
  10. I purchased a separate 12V battery booster unit (can get any size you want) and use that to power the brake unit as we travel..sets on the passenger side floor ....just recharge it each night when we get to a shore power location... that way nothing drains the toad while being towed.
  11. We switched from two AT&T cellphones with their air card to Verizon coverage with 2 Iphones .. and their MIFI unit.... The MiFi costs us approx $52 per month for 5GB of data transfer ..We are very pleased with their coverage / service .. It handles both our cell phones and both laptops fine .... .. It's proven to be FAR better coverage for us traveling throughout the US.... than AT&T ...... had those phones and service and air card for 2-3 years but was pretty useless for us while traveling - especially in Wisconsin....
  12. What park is this ... don't believe I care to go to that one ..
  13. Not real knowledgeable on electrical issues but I did similiar thing last week at Quartzsite and fellow camper pointed out another set of breakers in a panel under front of my fridge..each inverter line has a breaker there and one had tripped... Could your Bounder have same ??
  14. You are likely aware that the Rand GPS unit has all the low clearance and low height danger roads / intersections built into it ?
  15. We are in Tucson - Lazy Daze campground.. headed to Yuma Cocopah RV resort for a few days and then planning to go to Quartzsite .. currently planning on staying with RV Forum group but hoping to go meet some at the Tiffin group also...
  16. OK .. thanks.. I guess that's maybe why but my plaque is oval....apparently close enough to an egg for some folks...
  17. Almost hate to bring this up again but seeing as how the op got a few replies on topic and it's an old, old thread, and I've not ever seen or heard this before either,... How / why in the world would anyone have started calling a members plate a "goose egg" ?
  18. Looked at top 5 pages of threads and only saw one mention about using a small ( 3800-9000 BTU) propane heater in MH while non-hookups camping..... (Such as the most popular Mr. Byddy or Mr. Heater types) Curious .. how many folks use these to perhaps take the chill out or partially maintain temps in MH rather than starting Gen or running aquahot ? Supposedly good / safe for indoors but does everyone keep a window cracked... and if so, wouldn't even a slightly open window eliminate the heat benefit ? Supposedly they have low-O2 shutdown.... Sure no one would use them while driving even with the supposed tipover shutoff but wondering about beneficial use if bookdocking in area where temps might drop to 20's - 40's during evenings...?. Certainly 1# of propane would be less expensive, quieter, etc. than running gen. or aquahot..
  19. Like Xplorer, I elected to put in the separate bulb in the tailights.. separate wiring to the MH connection so no drain on toad battery, etc.... Regular bulbs remain as bright as they ever were and these added bulbs are excellent as well.
  20. A lot of folks also just run a 100 watt light bulb into the water fill/compartment bay. It will keep the entire compartment relatively warm as long as you have power to do so. On a previous Winnebago Voyage, I had run 110 power to both water compartments and even traveled with a 100 watt bulb in a trouble light shielded cord in each one. That way with the shore power or the generator on, I was good to probably 5-10 outside temps.......
  21. Another solution to running a toad battery down is to use a "batter / booster / charger" unit to power the brake unit instead of the toad battery.. They are available in all levels of power .. same size as a car battery.. sit on auto floor while in use.. just recharge when one gets to destination .. always have a charged unit / jumper assist unit available for use on others whose toad battery went dead.
  22. I had a dead battery once while towing the toad so decided that wouldn't happen again... I bought a portable charger / booster / jump battery unit - ( same size as regular battery - available in different size amp power) I use this for the brake unit power rather than the toads battery - brake unit plugs into it rather than toads 12V lighter socket. Whenever we get to where we are going, I put it on charge... always have a charged unit for next day travel or if anyone else needs a battery jump.
  23. Sure you can find many but I'm aware of friends staying at Cocopah RV resort Campgrounds and another at Araby Acres campgrounds.... both enjoy where they are .. both places look fine on their web.... we're going to stay awhile at Cocopah while out there.
  24. I have the complete Blue Ox system including the Patriot Braking system. To solve any concern about battery drain, I have the separate added bulbs in the lenses which is powered by the ... and then instead of plugging the 12V source into the toad, I bought one of those 12 volt battery/booster starter units - something like $50 -$75 depending on how many amps of power you'd want.. .... Really wanted one of these to always have one available for emergencies anyway so I use it as the power source for the braking system on the toad while traveling -- sits on floor in passenger side, and after arriving at campsite wherever, I just recharge it ... it's always there if I or anyone else needs a boost.
