Did you receive a code when it shut down? That is vital to read before you start replacing expensive parts. I had a similar problem with my MicroLite. I tested the fuel pump. Guess what the problem was? The fuel pump. It tested fine but only for about 60 seconds, at which point it lost pressure. I replaced it and the generator is humming away.

Are you sure the fuse you are replacing is the proper size? You may not have a short, but rather the wrong size fuse installed.

A lot of insurance companies will only remove your collision insurance, leaving your liability insurance intact.

Batteries Not Charging While Connected to Shore Power

Any update on this item?

To clarify my previous statement... In a normal installation, there is a lead from a power source that is energized when the ignition is turned on. Under normal operation, if the step is deployed and the door is closed, turning on the ignition key would retract the step regardless of the setting of the override switch. In addition, opening and closing the door while the ignition is turned on would extend and retract the steps. Now if the lead that is supposed to go to the ignition is not going to the ignition and is always energized the step would extend and retract regardless of the position of the switch. This is the scenario the original poster has brought forth. He opens the door and the step extends. He closes the door and the step retracts. Both happen regardless of the setting of the override switch. I would check the wiring, first by identifying what step you have and then going to their web site. You can also discuss this with the business that installed the step. I doubt the issue is the switch and if the magnetic switch in the door was defective the steps would not work at all when opening and closing the door.

It may be that your step is wired wrong and it is receiving power from your ignition switch. In other words, the step may think the coach is running

If the rear brake light adjustment on the brake pedal is not set properly, you can drive over a bump and the brake lights will activate which in turn will cancel the cruise control. Press on the brake pedal gingerly until the brake lights comes on. If you barely have to touch on the brake pedal, the switch can be adjusted under the dash to be a little less sensitive. On the other hand, I would have thought Ford would have checked this first! I feel this is a Ford issue as all ofthe guts for the cruise control...including the brake pedal switch are from Ford.

Search for "Kwikee Step" on eBay. There are a couple for substantially less than $600 PPL Motorhomes also has steps on sale..$355.99 and free shipping. Here is their link: http://www.pplmotorh...ctric-steps.htm -
This should answer your question... http://www.digi-panel.com/trannyoil.htm

I am assuming you are talking about the house batteries. I would check the fluid level in the house batteries. The reason 12V works when you reconnect to shore power or start the engine is because your inverter is supplying the 12V power. When you disconnect, only the batteries are supplying 12V power. You may also want to check the battery terminal connections.

Debating Dolly Against Tow Bar, And Need Help
vtbigdog replied to DavDona's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Also keep in mind the number of people who have purchased toads that are touted as towable 4-wheels down, only to have the manfacturers suddenly change their minds...as well as provide an additional page in the owners manual saying they cannot be towed in that manner. -
Buick has rescinded the ability of a Lacrosse to tow 4-wheels down. That includes the 2010, which I used to own.

Brett, I have the Ubiquiti Bullet which is esentially the same. It works great as you stated.

Dish Network has Eastern Arc Satellites and Western Arc Satellites. In the Adirondacks your satellite dish would be pointing towards the southwest a little above horizon. However if you were using the Eastern Arc Satellites, your satellite dish would be pointing to the East and nearly straight up. Not sure what you have for a satellite dish but if it is a WInegard it can be programmed via the dip switches to lock on to the Eastern Arc Satellites

How is your hot water pressure compared to the cold water pressure at your sink faucet? Do you have a bypass valve? If you do, go to your sink and turn the hot water on full blast. Then throw the bypass handle back and forth several times which will cause the check valve to fully open and close rapidly. This may free up the valve.

New To Tow Dollies, Don't Understand?
vtbigdog replied to Ultratravler's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Tireman9, In Vermont as well as a lot of other states, you have to be able to apply the brakes on the trailer, so your comment regarding the legality of surge brakes is accurate. (Un)fortunately the laws regarding the legality of surge brakes is not very well enforced but if it was surge brakes would not be legal if what you are towing exceeds a certain weight, such as the 3000 lbs you mentioned. -
New To Tow Dollies, Don't Understand?
vtbigdog replied to Ultratravler's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Tireman9, Put this into perspective....if you are towing a front wheel drive car on a tow dolly, how many of them have a REAR axle that weighs 2.867 lbs? How about none? Most front-wheel drives weigh less than 4,000 lbs and most of that weight is in the front where the engine and transaxle are located. So there is no way you could possibly have a rear axle that weighs 2.867 lbs. Also please reread your quote as it stated "Independent braking system is required in each weight bearing WHEEL where gross weight exceeds 1,300 kg (2,867 Ibs)." My statement above is per axle, not per wheel. -
Have you checks the shocks or airbags? Sounds like they are worn.

Sanitizing Water And Holding Tank With Vinegar
vtbigdog replied to tiffinphaeton's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Vinegar will not sanitize the water tank. Bleach is your best bet, but if you want to quantify, take a water sample of both for analysis. -
New To Tow Dollies, Don't Understand?
vtbigdog replied to Ultratravler's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Herman, You are forgetting the cost of the supplemental braking system. This puts the cost over the cost of a tow dolly. And with the tow dolly you can tow different vehicles. -
What board are you talking about? Where is it located? Are there any identification numbers on it that can be used in a Google search?

Depending on how far you are from Albany you may want to consider I-88 to I-81 to I-77. There is a lot less traffic than I-95, no tolls and spectacular scenery. This may be less stressful on your wife.

Most of the RV parks that I have stayed in on the East Coast have spaces alotted for transient travel, meaning you can stay a day or two without a reservation. In my experience its easier during the week than on the weekend.

Herman, the Original Poster was noting how difficult it was to top off the fuel tank. Removing the air pocket in the manner I mentioned eliminates this problem once the fuel nozzle kicks off. As an example my automobile has a 17.2 gallon gas tank. When filling it up it would shut off early and would have great difficulty in taking any additional fuel. I never put more than 16 gallons into it. Once I pulled the fuel tank and made the modifications, I could add an additional 2 gallons of fuel and "topping it off" would take no more than 30 seconds. The same modification to a motorhome can be made which would resolve the OPs issue.
