  1. I think the rules have changed and 24k is now permitable on the dually wheel axle.

    coolant change

The chassis maker decides whether or not to use a coolant filter, and puts it on if required. When I first got this coach, Freightliner was adamant about using non ELC coolant. Now they say you can use either ELC or standard coolant, because both should be changed at 100k or five years. I use the Herman method of putting the coolant in. The only difference is when it's getting nearly full, I had half a gallon of each, slowly. When I changed my coolant, nobody....engine maker, chassis maker or REV Group had any idea the capacity of the system. There "guesses" ranged from 32 gallons to 24 quarts....actual capacity is 15/16 gallons.
  3. Yes, manager or owner....most clerks could care less.
  4. RV parks are getting more like hotels/motels, it's a good idea to have a reservation. The bad part is most will charge the full amount when you make the reservation. I recently made seven reservations, five charged the full amount, one wanted my CC number but would wait until we got there to charge the card, and one wanted nothing but my word that I would let them know ASAP if I had to cancel.
  5. I'm on my second set of Blue Ox, no problems.
  6. I'd have the transmission fluid tested before doing any service to it. I have mine checked annually....get a report of all the chemicals/fluids that are in it.
  7. It's all part of the GPS, just like all the features found on a normal GPS.
  8. You guys are making my head hurt. When I replaced tires in the summer of 2019, I replaced all eight. That way the only thing that hurt was my credit card.😀
  9. Garmin has a couple of RV GPS systems. You set it up for the size of your RV. They also have RV maintenance and CGs programmed into it.
  10. Have a mechanic check it over...what about maintenance records?
  11. At our American Coach rallies, nobody would show up without a BYOB statement at the end!😀
  12. As a comparison, my DD 13 is 12.8L, 781CC, 500 HP, 1650 ft/lbs torque and weighs about 2,580 with it's 42 quarts of oil.
  13. Same here, lots of wind in Vegas, could do more harm than good.
  14. What is the displacement on the 60 series DD and the weight of the coach?
  15. DEF was made mandatory in the 2010 models. It's no big deal, just something you need to remember to do. I look at like going from leaded to unleaded fuel....just something required. I have had two big diesels, on with DEF, one without, no problems fuel wise with either one.
  16. Ditto on the Michelins....I put Toyo M144s on the rear and Continental HA 3s on the front....tire dealer couldn't get 315 Toyos for the front in a timely manner.
  17. Now that's getting serious! Might have to find another cardiologist!
  18. I just Binged this question. Bing says the towing capacity is "5000 to 7500 lbs, depending on trim and model year.
  19. I have a set of these, easy on easy off and look good.
  20. Same here and only use this account for the card.
  21. If very windy, I worry more about the slide toppers than anything else.
  22. Hopefully, Thor will leave Tiffin alone.
  23. I've had both, no problems with either one, and one was no better than the other. Find the floor plan you like and go from there.
  24. There seems to be a rash of very old posts....10 or more years.
  25. It seems to me, that Michelin does fine on cars and pickups. But there has been a rash of problems with Michelins on MHs....including mine. Mine cracked badly at five and a half years. Always covered, always put 303 on them, always properly inflated....just cracked, and I'll never use them again on any vehicle.
