  1. Last winter was down to single digits, no problem with two 60 watt bulbs in a well insulated basement bay. As far as running the pink A/F through the fresh water side of the house....I don't do that. I put similar pairs of 60 watt bulbs through out the coach, any where there is the possibility of water freezing. Haven't run any "pink stuff" in years.
  2. I stay away from Loves also. However, during our recent 3,500 mile trip, the D/W still had to go inside the PFJ...and we have their card. What's the secret to not having to go inside....are you using a regular Visa/MC?
  3. The question is does Lincoln say you can tow it four down? And, if they say it is okay, ask them to show you in the manual where it says it's okay and how to set it up to tow. That's what Honda does with the CRV.
  4. I have very reliable power, so I put two trouble lights with 60 watt (old style) bulbs in the AH compartment. This will be winter number eight with an AH and using this method...no problems yet.
  5. We just got back from a 3,500 mile 13 state trip out west. The most expensive fuel was $3.70 in SLC...the price was a slow build heading west. That $3.70 was a dollar more than in the middle of the country. But....we did get our $.08 cents off a gallon with the Pilot/Flying J card, what a deal.😝
  6. He did one at one year....found a big black precancerous polyp...then went to two years...then went to three years. Last one I had he said come back in five years. It's pretty bad when you know the pre-procedure nurses, and they recognize you!
  7. I would try the engine compartment insulation. Lots of boaters use it, we did in a sailboat that had an inboard diesel. Lots of information on boating sites.
  8. I guess...can't imagine a colonoscopy with nothing! My doc likes to put me to sleep, and be sure I stay asleep for my C's. My Dad died of colon cancer, so I had my ninth in March of this year.
  9. $12k....I wouldn't even consider that!
  10. It's whatever is on the registration and title that count.
  11. We have friends that pull one with an 08 American Eagle, it does fine...it's a 4 x 4, which I think is a requirement to tow four down.
  12. My set up (315s on the front and 295s on the rear) is OEM. The reason is the front axle is 17k....the rears are 20k dually and 12k tag. The dually axle is actually 25k, but the axle rating is based on the lowest rated component....thus the 20k rating. I have a friend with an 08 Eagle, it came off the line and to him with the front axle over GAWR. He swapped out the axle, at his expense.
  13. Tandems are generally more stable because there are four wheels on the ground rather than two. One of the greatest weaknesses of towed trailers are the cheap Chinese tires the manufacturers like to use. We found out the hard way with a 38' 5th wheel.
  14. When I planned to swap out the tires on our first coach, I thought I'd keep the best tire as a spare. However, we went with this Eagle before the last coach needed tires....the problem I have now is that there are 315s on the front and six 295s on the rear. I really don't want to lug around two spares.
  15. True. We spent five and a half hours on the side of the road because the emergency road service could not find a 295/80 tire. He said "the truckers don't use them, so there are not many around." He finally found one...for $800.
  16. We have a heat pump on our rear unit....very seldom use it. Much quieter to use the Aqua Hot (on electric) and/or floor heat.
  17. We aren't much of REV fans anymore either. However, still lots of good folks at the rallies as well as all the usual vendors.
  18. Ditto, same make same model. Never go wrong with a Honda product.
  19. I'm on my second Blue Ox, never had a problem. Also, they are made in Nebraska.
  20. Where is "here?" I'm at home getting me and the coach ready for a trip to Spearfish, SD, to the ACA rally in August...they are usually very good, are you going?
  21. There was a "Seajay" on a different forum who was sick, and has not posted in a long time.
  22. Don't let them get under your skin, Joe. Some of us are counting on you to pay our SS and Medicare costs....so hang in there, your day's coming!
  23. Blue Ox Patriot II. Light, portable, no installation, take it with you when changing MHs or toads, has a remote you carry in the MH to control the settings.
  24. We've had six RVs, more than that in boats (gas and diesel), but the only time I had a problem with a fire was in an airplane. I landed on fire...it was an electrical fire caused by the batteries. So I keep a close eye on my RV batteries...you all will be happy to know that crash/rescue is really fast!
