  1. I'm on my second Blue Ox, never had a problem. Also, they are made in Nebraska.
  2. Where is "here?" I'm at home getting me and the coach ready for a trip to Spearfish, SD, to the ACA rally in August...they are usually very good, are you going?
  3. There was a "Seajay" on a different forum who was sick, and has not posted in a long time.
  4. Don't let them get under your skin, Joe. Some of us are counting on you to pay our SS and Medicare costs....so hang in there, your day's coming!
  5. Blue Ox Patriot II. Light, portable, no installation, take it with you when changing MHs or toads, has a remote you carry in the MH to control the settings.
  6. We've had six RVs, more than that in boats (gas and diesel), but the only time I had a problem with a fire was in an airplane. I landed on fire...it was an electrical fire caused by the batteries. So I keep a close eye on my RV batteries...you all will be happy to know that crash/rescue is really fast!
  7. Good idea, I check all wire connections, that I can see and reach, annually.
  8. If you are turning the inverter on, it will not actually come on unless the charger is off. The way it works is that when both the charger and inverter are on, and AC power is turned off or goes off (charger is not working) the inverter will come on to provide AC power. My Magnum has two small buttons, one for the charger and one for the inverter.
  9. Wal Mart. They have both mounted and hand held.
  10. I use Rejex on the windshield, order it on line. http://rejex.com/
  11. I looked into this several months ago, and if you already had a policy, you were grandfathered into the new policy.
  12. 12 amps is a big load...my ACs draw nearly that much.
  13. American Coach uses Geocell 2300. When you have future questions, it would help if you add the make/model/year of your coach in your signature.
  14. My perception as well, although we usually stay off post/base. To be honest, I just like to go on the military facilities. Everybody is nice, friendly and courteous. The post/base is always clean and well maintained. I enjoy it when some young troop holds the door and says, "Good morning, sir!" Of course, he doesn't know if I'm a retired four star general or a retired PFC.
  15. Call Velvac...if it's an easy fix, do it yourself, if difficult, take it to the dealer.
  16. All good points, but that's the first thing I would check.
  17. The initial post was written nearly three months ago. However, I talked to a tech several weeks ago and he helped with my issue. The latest I have heard from REV is that they will assist, but will not spend hours walking us through a complex issue as they have done in the past.
  18. I got an email re the joining of the PX/BX and Commissary systems. It makes sense to me, but apparently there is a lot of in fighting and turf wars, so I can't see that happening soon. BTW, the Class VI is part of the PX/BX system, and, as of January, has not been closed. If you shop in there when they have sales you can really get some bargains. Every time we go in the commissary, there are way more retirees than active duty. Many years ago, I used to fuss about all the retirees in there....now I are one!!
  19. Once you get that put in, what I recommend is get an old vacuum cleaner hose... cut a piece long enough to fit around the inside of the collar, slit it long ways and put around the inside of the collar. That will make it a lot easier on your power cord when you pull it out or in...the edges of my collar in the floor are pretty sharp, this takes care of that.
  20. The store might be a bit loose with the facts....look on the tire.
  21. That's what I did. Found out every one in the coach is on the inverter.
  22. If you even say you are thinking about another coach...give up...you'll end up with another coach. BTDT, you've been bitten by the bug, go find that perfect coach!

    Air Filter

Joe, been on the road, I'll check on the filters in the next couple of days. Herman, yes, a high dollar Eagle, but I'm sure the equipment is furnished by the lowest bidder.
  24. I wash mine where I keep it stored. It takes nearly 200' of hose, but I don't trust anybody with a power washer around my MH.
