  1. You don't need ERS....until you need ERS. If you shop around you can get it for about $80 year. If you ever have to have your bus towed....whatever the ERS costs, will be paid back in spades. GS currently has a sale, I just renewed for about $254, including tax, for three years.
  2. As a follow up, Good Sam has a sale, 50% off for as many as five years, on their Platinum Service....$80 for everything FMCA has for twice the price.
  3. My plan runs out in Jan, I got renewal paperwork as well. In Jan 2000, I paid $222 for three years. During that period I did not use them. The renewal rate is $159 a year or $477 for three years. I'm looking else where.

    2015 Monaco

There is an identical thread under "Engines."
  5. The new version of the ISX is 605 HP, with no apparent problems.
  6. It wouldn't hurt to touch base with Velvac, they are very helpful.
  7. Same here, no cover on any RV. However from using partial covers on various boats, when talking about an RV...hard and heavy to get on the roof, hard to get on/off, wind either tears a hole in the cover or wears a spot on the RV, where to store it when using RV, expensive, no access to inside the RV (with most covers)....
  8. One problem will be if your coach has rolled on it's right side, the escape window is now 8' above your head. The problem might be actually getting to the window. On my Eagle, if the coach is on it's right side, the king size bed is also on it's right side, and approximately under the window.
  9. Call Thetford, they are very helpful....(800) 543-1219.
  10. To answer the OP's question, Hankook are fine. My last replacement was Continentals on the front and six Toyos on the rear. Dealer did not have any 315 Toyos.
  11. I 95 south to Jax, FL, I 10 to San Antonio. That's as far south as you can go.
  12. She said "approx two weeks." For your sake, I hope she is right, but don't be shocked if it's closer to two months.
  13. I run my slides in/out with the engine on high idle...makes a noticeable difference on my coach.

    Radiant Heat Floor

It is a great heating system. There are vents through out the coach, just like a stick house, plus you can select which part of the coach you want heated. On my coach I can heat the front and back separately or together.

    Radiant Heat Floor

Doesn't make any difference, it will not run both at the same time....have to up grade to an AH 600 to run hot water and coach heat together.

    Radiant Heat Floor

Mine is a 450D...the "D" means it has the feature to make hot water automatically when the engine is running, the 450 cannot do that. The only problem I have is that this model cannot run the coach heat and the hot water simultaneously. Hot water out ranks coach heat, so if the heat is on and you turn on the hot water, the coach heat goes off until the call for hot water stops. The AH600 as two heating elements and can operate both coach heat and floor heat. The 450D is easy to work around, timing showers requiring and the requirement for coach heat.

    Radiant Heat Floor

Interesting, we have an Aqua Hot, it's all electric...and would never have another MH without some type floor heat.
  18. Other than being seven years newer, I don't know that a Berkshire is an "upgrade" from a Discovery Expedition. Check it out (maint records) closely.

    Jack Pads

I've got four heavy wood jack pads with about 70k on them riding in the MH....never used them.
  20. Magne Shades are top quality, I had five on my last MH...driver's window, windshield, door window, pass window and a large custom shade for two parallel side windows. They are a bit pricey but worth it. On this MH I have six of their tire covers.
  21. Mine move better at high idle...slides and jacks.
  22. Are you sure they are broken, and not just missing? We had a 2009 AC Allegiance 40X that was delivered new to us with no welds holding the frame and the chassis together over the right passenger's seat.
  23. Even though "I'm bothered with all the hi prices''....I'm going any way. At this point in my life, a bit more for fuel will not keep me from going.
