It is such a simple thing. Slide will not work with the key on. Slide will not work unless the key is on. Slide wont work unless the ignition key is off and the slide lock key is in the correct position. Slide will not work unless the ignition key is on and the slide lock key is in the correct position. Back slide will not work unless the key is off but the front slide must have the ignition key on and the engine running. What do you think is so confusing???? Herman

Our Holiday Travel Misadventure-- So Far
hermanmullins replied to huffypuff's topic in General Discussion
Ray, Porch Light is no problem. You just place your right foot on the space between the passengers seat and the wall. Swing your left leg out around the door facing and hook you leg on the grab bar. With your right hand holding on to the inside grab bar for dear life, reach up with your left hand and remove the porch light cover. Move the cover to your mouth, but don't hold it with your teeth, because you might bite it into when you land on you backside. Wiggly the bulb. If it comes on then reverse the procedure. Or maybe a ladder might be the best chose. Have a great trip. Herman -
50 Amp Does Not Indicate 50 Amp At Intellitec
hermanmullins replied to rcieslak67's topic in Electrical
Here is a place to test with a volt meter. If you check Hot to Hot (L-1 to L-2) you should read 240 volts. if they have cheated then you will get no reading of voltage. A check of each leg to a ground or neutral will detect 120 volts on each but you are getting power from the same source and not from two different legs. Herman -
We are all human. The only time wiper blade becomes an issue is when it begins to rain while traveling. So my suggestion would be to put on new blades that fit, buy a quality blade and at the same time buy an extra set for that "Just in Case". The DW get on to me because I carry too many clothes, for Hot and Cold. I have extra wiper blades, I have a complete set of fuel filters and both "V" and serpentine belts. Just an ole' Boy Scout. Be Prepared. Herman

50 Amp Does Not Indicate 50 Amp At Intellitec
hermanmullins replied to rcieslak67's topic in Electrical
I understand about a park doing an up grade from 30 to 50 amp service. But there is where I would question them. Did they run new cable? Did they up grade the size of cable from say 10 gauge to 8 gauge? Or did they just put in a different panel with both 30 and 50 amp receptacles and just connect the second leg of the 50 to the same leg of the 30 amp? If they did these, they must have done it themselves. No licensed electrician would put his name on such a mess. Herman -

50 Amp Does Not Indicate 50 Amp At Intellitec

I'm having a hard time visualizing a miss wiring. Two load wire on the same leg of the panel. No matter where you snap in a 50 amp breaker it will be on two different legs. I can see a miss wired plug. But that would give you a hot neutral or ground. However a loose or broken connection in the coach or power cable could show only 30 amp. Correct me if I am wrong. When looking at Microwave/Convection ovens be sure to make sure what you buy. Make sure it is compatible to where it will be mounted, under counter or cabinet installed. Air movement is very important. Herman

Sounds like a plan. Hope everything works out on the fridge. You and Hanna need to dust off those cob webs and looks like you are going to. Enjoy. Herman -

Ray, I know you have already looked into it but do think long and hard on going to a residential unit. We installed a Samsung RF-18. Couldn't be happier. Hope you and the DW are feeling ok. Herman -
Carmar, Not to be condescending but at least all of the lower 48 states will disagree with you. The average is any towed trailer or vehicle is approximately 1,200 pounds. Ask your insurance provider what they think. Good that you have one. Herman

John, Welcome to the Forum. Have you joined FMCA. If not come on and join a large family that is ready to adopt you and introduce you to a wonderful group of relatives. As for the bike carrier. Please do as your Coach Manufacturer recommends. They know what is best and safest for you and the coach. Have you considered a trike trailer? Herman

Yes Bill, I had the same problem. Winegard is aware of the problem. They offer you a discount on a new or manufactured Dish SK-1000. The new unit comes with 2 year parts and 1 year labor warranty while the reman. only comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Give them a call. I got the reman. from them for $759.99 plus freight. I would swear the unit they sent was a brand new unit. Installed it myself and could not be happier. The only thing they ask is that you send a picture of the destroyed old dish. You will need the model and serial number of your current dish. Good Luck Herman

Tom, we also use the Sam's Master Card for all fuel purchases, both in the cars and coach. This gives us a clear cost of our fuel plus the 5% back. Bobbie and I like you and Louise have the same fuel capacity in our coach. Always when I would fill up I would never show a full tank on the gauge. The trip tech would tell me I had 124 gallons in the tank which would drop fairly quickly. Since I have begun to rise the coach on the side I am filling from I can get 5 or 6 gallons more in the tank and the gauge would read full. My trip tech still read only 124 gallons but would still read 124 an hour later when traveling. As far as boondocking, we try to spend every other night in a park. the rest of the time we will go to Sam's or Wally World. Save money and we are able to keep the coach stocked up. By the way, Lone Star will be in Bandera at Skyline RV Park December 1 to 4. Would love to see you and Louise if you can make it. Herman

Blake, I think it looks great. Since the flooring has light and dark shades in it, I see almost exact match with a bit of contrast which I think is just right. Nice work Ernnie. Herman -
It Happened On Thanksgiving Day
hermanmullins replied to hermanmullins's topic in General Discussion
Everything went off with out a hitch. Ate too much sweets, Blood Sugar was 156 this morning. Will have to fast for several days. Carl, being with friends is what it is all about. I think that if we were on the road in and in RV Park on Thanksgiving and they had a meeting room, I would canvas the folks there and have a pot luck. I think it would be a great time to meet folks and maybe keep some one from being too lonely on a special day. Herman -

It Happened On Thanksgiving Day
hermanmullins replied to hermanmullins's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Bill, they got it back on around 8:00 am CST. GCEC is a great provider for electric power. Herman -
Here is hoping everyone is preparing for the Day of Thanksgiving with friends and family. Bobbie and I awoke this AM to find we had no power. I checked and found the Power Company, Grayson Collin Electric Coop, had a pole knocked down on the road where we live. Effecting about 30 homes. It should be back in the next hour or so. In the mean time I started the generator on the coach, it is in the garage about 30 feet away, and got the essentials running. One light, the coffee pot and the computer. The Turkey is too big for the convection microwave in the coach but the ham will fit. Hoping the power is restored in time for the Turkey to go in the "Electric Oven". (4 hours) What has happened to you on a special occasion? Tell us about a special day so we can laugh or cry with you. Love to all and eat to your hearts content. HAPPY THANKSGIVING Herman & Bobbie

JC, as said welcome to the Forum. Anything can be towed, it just depends on how much you are willing to spend. 4x4, pumps, disconects, dollies and it goes on from there. Good luck Herman

Wayne, I took a look on ebay and Amazon. Both had several Polymer Wetcoats and all were in the $18.00 to $25.00/gal range There is a Airplane wax a friend of mine told me about. Said it sheds water nicely and last for a long time. When I can get the name from him I will list it here. Herman
