  1. Mark, By some chance was the bolt that broke plastic. I have had the latches on my bay doors break. They were plastic and I replaced them all with latches with metal plungers. Herman
  2. Roy, Sorry we won't be there this time but do go to the Forum Meet & Greet and tell everyone I said hello. Herman Forum Meet & Greet Thursday, Aug 4, 5:00 p.m. Seminar 8 (Young Building)
  3. Thanks Bill, We have visited Kearney several times. Our daughter-in-law's mother lived there and we visited several times. We have thought adout there, thanks for the reminder. Herman
  4. No Rodger, you spelled it correctly, some times too many words , but the spelling is right on. Herman
  5. Blake, the SR-71 has more secrets then Bill and Hillary. The best way to describe it is "Now you see it, Now you don't". I have seen one at the museum out in Arizona. When I toured the museum there I saw every plane I worked on when I was in the Navy. Herman
  6. Mikey, Where you are located at this time check to see if there is a Ford dealer close. Not to defend the RV dealer but there is no correlation between the Jacks and the brakes. If you don't find that it is low on brake fluid, you can also try to disconnect your positive battery cable for about 15 seconds and then reattach the cable. Then check to see if the lights go out. This will reset the computer and clear a code if it is just an error. However if the lights come back on then go to a dealer, do not pass go, just get there asap. Good luck, Herman
  7. Joe, On smaller coaches when there is limited space, it is used to rinse your dishes. However I would not recommend using the bowl as a sink. Herman
  8. Joe, Thanks for the offer on Demco. I will let you know what day we may be in the Lincoln area. If it is a working day I will call you and see if Frank might have time for a tour. I always love to visit manufacturing plants. I enjoy everything mechanical and to watch assembly lines. Bill, Thanks for the lead. However Chadron is a little to far out of the way. I will keep it in the ole gray matter for future visits to the area. Thanks again to both of you. Herman
  9. Bobbie and I will be leaving Cheyenne for Moscow, Iowa to have HWH do some work on the coach. We will be going most of the way on I-80. We know about Cabela's in Sidney Nebraska and have been there. Anyone got any ideas of other places to visit along the way? It is 766 mile from Cheyenne and we have several days to get there. Got any Ideas? Herman
  10. Marty, Congratulations, well done. How old was the Kid that came with the unit? Couldn't refuse, I too get ribbed about some of my wording. Herman
  11. Horay and best wishes to Ty. Hope he is a great success. Herman
  12. It is, its called the "Forum Meet and Greet Chapter of FMCA". It has two meetings each year. It just hasn't filed the necessary paper work with FMCA to get a Charter. All is needed is someone to do the leg work to get it done, any nominations? Herman
  13. When we were in Perry in 2014 they were introducing the new redesigned Roadmaster Chassis, At that time the rep referred to it as the Roadmaster Freightliner Chassis. To my very limited knowledge of Chassis es it looked like a great design. It was also funny to see one of the techs driving a body less chassis sitting on a crate. Herman
  14. SL, Most times when you are having your A/C serviced the tech might add a can of Freon with a stop leak added. Fix-a-Flat is item used to get you to a location where you can have your flat repaired, however it is a mess to clean out of the tire. Liquid Plumber is not for stopping a leak it for clearing a clog in drain pipes. The one thing about Freon with a stop leak additive is that it is in constant motion through the system and is not intended to stop a massive leak but to help with a slow leak that is almost undetectable. Also you don't have to go to Cummins to have your A/C serviced, most any automotive a/c service center can do it for you. Good luck and hope you are able to get cool soon. Herman
  15. Tom, Just googled REV and Trek is the last name on the list just below Monaco. But heck, in the last few years who can keep score. Herman
  16. Tom, I don't think residential refrigerator have actual drains. They have drip pans where moisture is collected a disipated by the heat generated by the compressor. Herman
  17. RP, One other thing. If you see water coming from the tank over flow and you aren't trying to fill the tank, you may have a faulty check valve in your pump. A slight dribble in the valve will eventually fill your tank to over flow. Herman
  18. Bill, you are correct, spinning so fast the governor kicked in. I have a 295 in my large bay tray. In side the tire I stow power cords and water hose. In the center I put cleaning supplies, cases of water and whatever else will fit. I was surprised of how much space I still had. Just have to pack well. Darn I'm still getting dizzy. Hold on Lizabeth this may be the big one.? Herman
  19. There was a post here about problems with an American Coach purchased from Lazy Days and bad service. A/C told them to go there since they were a service center. May just be a rumor. You know what a big gossip I am. Herman
  20. Bill, most of the time when M & G doesn't have a unit for a vehicle has to do with space issues. There must be space for the master cylinder to be able to move approx. 4 inches forward and still be able to close the hood. Some vehicles have a power brake booster and master cylinder mounted sideways but still don't have enough room. Even great ones like Brett, Joe and yourself can't solve all issues. But they still never stop trying which is good. Herman
  21. Five, from what I hear you can add Lazy Days to the list of REV service centers. Herman
  22. Nice video, I kept one of the best take off as a spare. It does fit in my slide tray but it makes the tray harder to pull out and it does add quite a bit of weight. 295-80R 22.5 is not a real popular size. Herman
  23. By my calculation you got your first coach at the age of 12, in Norway, right?? Herman
