Exterior Maintenance - Cleaning and Waxing Fiberglass
hermanmullins replied to QuiGonJohn's topic in Chassis
Had our coach washed and the wheels cleaned in Perry 2016. The coach looked good and the wheels came out beautiful. They hit me up for another $50 to put a coating on the roof. Don't know what they used but I have not had any streaking since it was applied. Herman -

Sorrey Joe, I was thinking outside connections. You can google "Gold Tone Hand Held Shower Heads" I saw several with head and hose in gold tones. Herman -

Back when Gold was the rage on cars, I remember there was a process where they would do the small chrome pieces on a car while still on the car. I wonder if any of those folk that did this are still around. It was done with an electrical charge of some sort as I remember. Herman -
Ray, I installed a new set of tank sensors. Sea Level is the brand name. got them at Perry in March. They work great and the installation was very easy. took me about 2 hours total. Now you have a reason to go to Gillette. Herman

TCR1, Welcome to the Forum,, Can't tell you how safe any WalMart is, I can only speak of the one I have stayed in. I have found that if you see other RVs there it should be OK. I have found it best to call and ask permission before you arrive. Some do to their city ordinances do not allow over night parking. If they say OK come on in I always go in and check to be sure where they prefer you to park. Herman

Rockport has recovered pretty well. I spoke with Lagoons RV Resort and Mary Ann said they are fully open. We are having a Rally there next May. Herman

Welcome to the Forum Andrew. What vehicle do you now have? I would not recommend towing with the engine running. Bad to no air flow to keep the engine cool. You would be better off having someone drive rather then what you want to do. Or getting a dolly. Herman

Exterior Maintenance - Cleaning and Waxing Fiberglass

If you are up to cleaning and waxing your coach yourself here is the best I have ever used. I have been using Lew's Slick Mist for several years since I heard about it from Carl which I found to work well. I go the receipt from a friend of mine. She and her husband cleaned their coach and truck each time they parked (too much for me but that was Corbett. God rest his soul). Here is the receipt. CONNIE'S Simple Wax 32 oz. Distilled Water 16 oz Cheap Turtle Wax 1 tsp Dawn Dishwashing Liquid 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice Shake well Spray it on and wipe it with a Microfiber cloth. You do not have to wipe off or buff it. Just wipe it on being sure to cover the area completely and you are done. You will have to use several Microfiber cloths. It works well to remove mild dirt but it the dirt is heavy it is best to rinse it off first. The cost is Distilled Water, $1.00 , Turtle Wax $3.95 both from Dollar General. Dawn from kitchen and Lemon Juice from the refrigerator. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Herman -
Carl, Jaime is the Photographer for Six-State and does a fine job. His first Rally pictures can be seen at sca-fmca.com. He has daily pictures of the Rally. Great job Jaime. Herman

It may have something to do with the value of the dollar US vs Canada. But you are correct, if Continental has a program with FMCA in Canada Michelin is sure to follow or may want to be there before if they get wind of Continental going that way. Herman

A few folks from Six-State go to Freeport for the winter. Don't know which park but it is probably less expensive there then Galveston and it is just a short drive to Galveston. Herman

CEILING LEAK THROUGH LIGHT PORTS
hermanmullins replied to eric@babin.com's topic in Systems and Appliances
A bit off the topic, but I had a leak at the windshield. Found out I had a broken clearance lens on the top of the coach. It was broken on the top creating a cup catching the water and funneling into the hole for the wiring. Replaced the entire light and sealed it, now no more leak. (at least not there. Who knows where the next one will be.) Herman -

Joe, The original "Schlitterbahn" in New Braunfels is the ones the Kids will like the best. My daughter and son-in-law took their kids there for about 10 to 12 years. Hill Country Rv Park is a good park. Not fancy but you won't be in there too much. Herman

Joe, I didn't see it anywhere, is your Tankless WH diesel or propane? Herman -
Byron, I know that must have been scary. If for any reason you feel like that again. You are someone call 911 immediately and as Carl said sit down and take an Aspirin (325 mg if possible) with a lot of water. I hope Betty's procedure went well and you get better yourself. Herman

Look on your wheels. There is a name and number on then. Google it and you will find out if they are polished or not Herman

Check Out Our New Verizon MIFI Benefit!
hermanmullins replied to larrypennington's topic in Membership/Benefits
Let me be one to say something good about the Verizon MiFi. I don't know kg bits from Chigger Bites. Mine work fine, day after day, since the day I got it. We live in a Metal Home. Roof and Exterior Walls out in the country, and I still have good and dependable service. Does it slow down at 25 gb sometimes but not every time, but I can live with it. Thank you FMCA for the Benefit. I didn't join FMCA for the MiFi and will stay a member, if God forbid, it goes away. I will put my soap box away for now. Herman -
If I am not mistaken most companies that make tow bars have clip the either bolt on, weld on or maybe do both. I know Blue Ox does for sure. Herman

Ernie, Welcome to the Forum. I am not being a smart alec but you missed you chance to install a Residential Unit. Sorry but old or new the Norcold unit is nothing but trouble. And as per your commit "Called Norcold will not talk to me." that is why. I hope you find your answer soon. Herman
