In nearly all cases your front tires will use higher air pressure since there are only 2 vs. 4 in the rear (as mentioned above). It's all been calculated for you by the manufacturer.....just look it up. I just put on 2 new front and 2 new tag tires. The installer set both to 120# (sidewall rating). I knew right away when I hit the road and the roads here in Houston nearly shook my coach to death. Once I got home I reduced the tag tire pressure to the proper setting of 90# and I am certain the next trip will be substantially better. Even the front tire had about 125 cold which I dropped to 120. The 4 drive tires carry 100#. That's 3 sets of tires with 3 different pressures and is the correct pressure for each set. Never set left and right pressures differently even if one side is heavier than the other. The proper setting is all tires on the same axle have the same pressure and that pressure is based upon the pressure required on the heaviest side.

No, after the +++ (installation, valve stems, disposal fees, shop supplies, feed the hungry fund, silly stuff we add on for no reason and the "we installed in the rain" fee, it will likely still be $800! We had Prevost install 8 new tires 6 years ago and it was a bit over $6000 so very close to $800/tire. I will post here when I see the actual invoice which comes from Michelin and not the dealer.

Fixed? Which problem? That part of RVing never ends!

Just wanted to follow up and thank everyone for their help. Armed with the information here I called TCI tire here in Houston and sure enough, they have gotten 4 12R 22.5's in and were on the shelf. I ordered my Centramatics from someone on E-Bay and today we had everything installed. It turns out the tires were older than I thought (4/10) so I replaced the steer and tag and I will replace the 4 drive tires when I recover from this bill (6 months maybe?). I am not sure of the exact savings at this point but I do know the FMCA pricing is better than what I could find elsewhere. I think I will save about $500 on the 4 tires but at $660/tire +++ it's still a pretty big hit!

I don't just criticize iRV2 here. I will criticize it anywhere anyone will listen!

What Email Service Do You Use?
BillAdams replied to glidercoach's topic in RV Internet to Go/Staying in Touch
I am a big G-mail fan but there are a number of services that allow you to setup your own website for very little money. Some can even use your name as the website, i.e. www.billadams.com and your e-mail address would be "anything"@billadams.com -
Mounted RV Satellite Dish Replacement System
BillAdams replied to Shelbyvision's topic in Electronics
What you might want to consider is who is going to service the KVH unit if you choose that over a Winegard. Many RV dealers have stopped servicing KVH antennas while nearly all RV dealers can service a Winegard. You will find very little feed back on the KHV units as the majority of RVers use either Winegard or King Dome.- 28 replies

If you have the ability to get under the coach safely......air bags deflating makes getting under a coach VERY dangerous unless you have a pit, a lift or a way to raise and insert proper jack stands....... you will likely find a leak quickly. On my coach when the air pressure was dropping while driving the tech found that one of the air brake lines had been rubbing and was no leaking. Very bad. A new hose and we were back in business. Assuming your coach rides on air bags you may also be able to watch what happens after hours with the coach turned off. If the coach drops in height or tilts to one side of the other it's more likely that you have a leak at the air bag connection, the air bag itself or one of the connections leading to the valves that inflate the air bags.

Florida? TX and AZ are having similar serious mosquito outbreaks. If FL has 50 years of experience, why are there any mosquitoes there at all? I guess someone might have been able to control the black plaque but if only half the folks died due to their expertise a whole bunch of folks still would have died. We simply cannot stop mosquitoes and some of those mosquitoes will be carrying some kind of a disease or virus. Some of us are going to get sick. Some of us will die but in most cases, nothing will happen to anyone we know. Unless I plan to travel to a known Zika zone outside the US (and I have a wife I hope to make pregnant) I think I will let "what be will be". I don't like mosquitoes so I use mosquito repellent when necessary. That's about it, I just don't like mosquitoes.

Mounted RV Satellite Dish Replacement System
BillAdams replied to Shelbyvision's topic in Electronics
The light on the panel you showed has nothing to do with the power switch needed to send the power to the antenna for proper operation. That's usually a small wall plate with a tiny button and a tiny LED light. Since this is an '08 coach it could possibly be connected to a video control center (box of many buttons, i.e BOMB) which may or may not have an on/off button. If you have an on/off button, that's what it is for, nothing else. Herman, there is no such thing as a Winegard Road Trac but I am glad to hear that Winegard gave you a good upgrade option due to the changes no one could anticipate from Dish. DirecTV has not made any similar changes and there is nothing that DirecTV has done to make any dome from any manufacturer obsolete. No, you can't ever get DirecTV HD from a dome but that, of course, is not any part of the OP's question or his issue. Herman, please don't moderate me again because you don't like something I posted.- 28 replies

So, you have the best OTA TV antenna availalble but you should add the Winegard attachment to your existing Winegard Sensar. There is a separate power supply for that antenna that must be turned on for the OTA antenna to work properly. If you are a DirecTV customer your dome should still work. If you are a Dish Network customer then you likely need a new dome. Winegard dome would be my recommendation but we need to know which service provider you use.- 28 replies

That sounds like something they do at the iRV2 forum. It is one of the few "for profit only" sites, i.e. not associated with a manufacturer or RV any organization like Good Sam or FMCA. I left that group a number of years ago as I was often chastised by the moderators.

I am not sure if that was meant to be a joke or not, but that's pretty funny. Asking Ernie if he knows what he's talking about!

After having my coach "blown up" by bad electrical connections twice I "finally" installed a TRC hardwired like this: https://www.amazon.com/Surge-Guard-35550-Hardwire-Protector/dp/B01AASJHGO/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1471996196&sr=8-6&keywords=trc+surge+guard I could not be happier.

Bell has not been available in the US for many, many years. Shaw is still available but only from their 2 original satellites and not the new 3rd satellite. Much of the HD is on that 3rd satellite but otherwise the Shaw signal is still available all the way into Mexico.

Liar, liar, pants on fire! You simply cannot provide 50 amp service (100 amps available for use) from a 30 amp plug. The 30 amp plug has only 3 connections. They are Hot, Neutral and Ground. 50 amp service provides TWO hots plus a Neutral and Ground. Even if the park owner has put 50 amp breakers on the 30 amp line it would still only provide a total of 50 amps to your coach and not 100. The fact that anyone would suggest that they have installed wiring that can provide either service from the same connection is either crazy or, as suggested earlier, a liar. Just to make sure you understand, even if the park could push all those amps through their wiring, you coach wiring would not allow it. Once you plug in your 30 amp dog bone you will only have 30 amps of usage available before breakers start tripping.

What's with the carpet in the picture of the entry steps????

No, that is not normal. It sounds like the rollers are preventing the slide from getting settled into its base. Either the rollers are not set correctly or the installer did not know what they were doing. JMHO.......

There usually is only one valve up front that controls both air bags. There is then one valve for each bag in the rear. On a coach like mine that's also use as your levelers with the front only able to move up or down and the independent rear airs tilt the coach left and right as necessary.

DirecTV did not make any changes that would effect the ability of your dome to find the DirecTV satellite. However, it sounds like KD is trying to say that the changes Dish made to their satellite broadcast (and they did!) is effecting the antennas ability to move from one satellite to another. Resetting the antenna over and over likely allows the antenna to finally shed the Dish satellite and move to the correct DirecTV satellite. Glad to hear that you are now locked onto the correct satellite but don't be surprised if you have ongoing issues with the older domes. DirecTV and Dish will continue to move their technology forward and since neither DirecTV nor Dish built RV antennas all we can hope for is that our after market RV hardware will work.

Does anything make a sound when you push the horn? Some coaches have a switch that allows selection of air horns or a standard car horn.

Were you looking for the tank that holds the water or the button inside that makes it squirt? -
You are going to get a lot of bad reviews of Camping World. That's not because CW is a bad place to have your RV service but rather because CW does so many RV services that those who didn't like something are going to post everywhere they can (I have done the same thing myself, just not about CW). CW is the 800# Gorilla in the room and they do so much more service than anyone else they are bound to make some customers unhappy. It doesn't mean they did anything wrong, it just means that what they did and what the customer expected were not the same. As with any dealer, big or small, sometimes things are actually NOT done correctly. Unfortunately, this cannot be helped. Stuff happens and no matter where you take your RV there is a slight chance that things will go wonky. CW just happens to service about 1000 times more RVs than anyone else so there "oops" are posted everywhere on social media.

If the shocks do not show any signs oil leaking or other signs that they need replacement I would not replace them. Are you having issues with proposing, bouncing or extreme side to side movement?
