Ray and Lyn got here in Shipshewana South RV Park...The RV Mutants are almost all gone. We are all going to Das Dutchman Essenhause this evening for some Amish country cooking, -
Instant pot! When I get there I can cook it. Example: Ribs - 30 minutes, pork butt 50 minutes, etc. For lunch, sandwiches. Or, when we get there the 22" griddle. Instant Pot is also a slow cooker, easier to put in sink and has a lid.

Our particular city, Texas City, does not have any RV Parks but there are plenty of them in all the towns/cities surrounding us. If you enjoy water sports there is plenty of water around. The Texas City Dike is a good place to go but on the weekends in the summer they charge $10 per vehicle and $20 on holiday weekends. There is a very long beach there, plus cabanas. There are boat ramps and they are free. People bring their jet skis and there is an area of the seawall away from the beach area for water sailing or power gliding.

The choice to leave this forum and not renew membership is a personal choice. I wish those who do well. I hope you find another source of great RV'ers. I am a member of other forums, and rules regarding political or religious posts are not permitted. Why, because most of the time the posts on politics or religion just cause discontent. Personally I don't talk politics or religion because I don't know enough about either one. The rights of the 1st Amendment do not apply to private enterprises, only public ones. Example: sitting in a private place a photographer does not have the right to take a picture if the person does not want it done. If the person steps out on to a public sidewalk, a photographer can take as many pictures as they want without permission. Think paparazzi.

As typical the thread was starting to go off topic, in my opinion. The thread was about our Canadian Friends and the U.S./Canada border. Again, in my opinion, the mention of other borders did have overtones of political nuisance. I was asked to be a moderator on a few forums. Having been there and done that before can attest that it is a very thankless job. So, thank you moderators and continue to do your best, as you have done.

Ray, we are the RV Mutants and we have a grand time. We began meeting in 2013 on the forum and it started expanding. In 2014 we had a first ever Grand Curiosity (Rally) in Hot Spring, AR at Catherine's Landing. We hit it off and many have become very good RV Friends. Several of the couples have visited us in our home in Texas City. Someone says they are going to be somewhere and it seems others show up. We made reservations for Shipshewana South RV Park back in March for the month of August. Before you knew it others were signing up. We now have 10 rigs and 1 hotel dwelling couple who gave up the MH world. If you follow the thread yo can see we always have fun. -
Remove the screen on the faucet and see if it is obstructed with calcium and debris. Clean with brush and see if that helps.

Kay is correct. The overflow drain for the fresh water is open and will not only overflow when the water is to high but will be the pressure relief so a vacuum is not created. I like the analogy of water pooled on the slide topper. Running the slide in should let the water roll off the topper, then extend it again and try the fresh water fill again.- 10 replies

E & S Sales Bulk Foods. Don't forget the Flea Market open only on Tuesday and WednesdayThis is our third or so time to this area. We like it. Laid back, easy going, nice horses and buggies. Our place to go to in the summer time and get out of the Texas heat. Sundays the sidewalks roll up, and also many places on Monday. -

Ross, We stayed at Pla-Mor in 2018 for the month of August. Say Hi to Joey and his nice wife, Just down the road from there, in Nappanee, IN, is the Newmar Plant. It was interesting on how they assembled their product. Yes, lots of things to do in this area. We'll most likely take a ride down that way..just don't know the date yet. Oh Carl, ye of little searching capabilities.😇 Just type in "where is shipshewana" and you will get a map. Can you say "Ship she wanna?" Okay now put it all together. SORRY COULDN"T RESIST. Temperature here today at 9 a.m. was 61˚, and at 10:38 it is 64˚. Hi today will be 75˚ and tonight's low will be 52˚. -
Welcome y'all, nice to meet you.

We arrived at Shpshewana South RV park today and will be here for the month of August...come on down Temperature today was 76 and no humidity that I noticed. -
Had the burning look on my old MH on the prongs, changed it out like you did. Now with my PT-50X I leave the RV line plugged into it instead of unplugging it all the time causing the female prongs on the inside to get week. All I have to do is pick up the PT-50X, make sure the breaker box is switched off, plug in and turn on the breaker. When ready to go I only need to unplug the PT-50X male plug, carry that end over to my reel and push the button. Getting close I stop pick up the PT-50X and put it in the bay still attached to the RV plug. So far so good.

Don't forget to ask Earlene if it was funny...I thought so also and had all I could do to control laughter when it happened. Or were you talking about the movie clip??
-
So funny. Year 2007. Fifth wheel setting up. My back had acted up and the drain was about 2 feet back under the front of the slide. I asked Earlene to help me. I showed her the black cap, told her to remove it and twist the sewer hose on. She asked, "I'm not going to get dirty, am I?" I told her, "No, it's what I do all the time." She removed the black cap. I had forgotten to close the grey valve. She doesn't get near sewer lines anymore. Wonder why. Could have been worse, could have been the black valve!
