  1. wfstewa, Call Wingard support. When I have had to talk to them they have been very helpful. That was some time ago, but still what do you have to lose.
  2. Doesn't the receiver need to be programmed for the new service? Seems it is still programmed for DTV and is looking for those satellites. (Just thinking out loud.)
  3. I really like the way the intermittent wipers work on my Freightliner chassis. Push the button, it sweeps once. Wait until it needs it again and push the button again. Intermittent time is now set. Wish the car was that way.
  4. I know, I know - money in a separate account for saving until needed for roadside assistance. However, we broke down 22 miles from home. GS ERS to the rescue. When we were unhooking 40 miles away at the Cummins dealer I asked the tow truck driver what it would have cost me if I had paid for it myself. He said, "About $750." I'll keep GS, just as I keep other insurance policies. I also have thiere ESP.
  5. Very nice looking Dutch Star I can't go to those shows or factories without DW tagging along to keep my wallet in my pocket. With that said, she, on two occasion, went to pick up her car at the dealer car service and it was ready so she drove out with a new one. And she calls me impulsive. Luckily the last time she did that was in 2004 and she still has that car. We visited the Newmar factory when we were staying in Bremen. A very interesting place. Watching two technicians moving the coach sideways along the floor was a lesson in construction. As they were pushing it, another technician was on knee pads and as the coach moved he would drag his tool box and work on the bay doors as it was moving.
  6. My first attempt at intermittent wiper took about 5 minutes to get it to work intermittently, then I wanted to speed it up so it was another 5 minutes. Luckily it stopped raining so when we stopped I used the SWAG principle and found out that one push will sweep the wiper and then depending on when you push the button again it uses that setting for the timer. Wonderful ingenuity and I'm happy the manual said something about it. I think there are a few more button pushes for intermittent wipers that I have not found yet. Give me time, I've only had it for 2 years.
  7. I've used Bank of the West with good luck.
  8. The FMCA Assist program is worth the money. No where else can you get coverage like that for that price.
  9. My Winni has it on the "smart" steering wheel. One for headlamp flash and one for running lights.
  10. A look at the National Parks information page provided this: "Note: RVs, camping trailers, and horse trailers are welcome, but be prepared to shift into low gear. Be sure you will clear Marys Rock Tunnel (just south of Thornton Gap entrance from Route 211) at 12'8"." If you go to the Mathew Arm Campground Website there is a map of all the sites. If you click on one it will bring up information including the length of the driveway.
  11. Carl, you are about 65 miles South of SA. It's that much warmer there??
  12. My DEF tank is in the rear driver side bay where the batteries are. Just behind the TAG.
  13. Dang, Mike, come on down to Texas City. Right now it is 56˚ with high today of 59˚. Then 62, 64, 70, 70, 73˚. Shorts weather.
  14. My experience is that those viewers who are heavy into sports typically use DirecTV. We are not sports enthusiasts so DISH is great for us. As for al those channels you don't want go into your receiver's settings (Hit Home Button Twice) and find Parental Control. In there you can lock channels you don't want to see, like HSN, etc or foreign languages you don't understand. There are other options in those setting that you can explore. This should work on all DISH devices. On of the settings I use is to hide all SD channels that have HD also.
  15. The one gallon container is just so much easier to manhandle. I watch the bars on the dash and if two bars go away I know I have plenty left but I'll purchase a couple gallons at the nearest store and dump them in.
  16. Ugh! My DEF fill is at the back of the MH. I use 1 gallon cans of DEF bought at Walmart or any auto store. The 1 gallon size is so much easier to handle. I keep an empty 1 gallon size in the bay and if I have to use the 2-1/2 gallon size there is a lot left over because the coiled spout is not long enough to give the proper height for draining. I'll empty the big one into the 1 gallon and use it all up.
  17. If on a MAC hold the option key and hit the k key, like this ˚ It's cold here today, only 69˚. I hate the cold!!
  18. Willie's Roadhouse if I get my way, otherwise The Garth Channel, Outlaw, Highway. Herman, that's what I like about Willie's Roadhouse, it plays all those artists. If we have bad reception I can turn on the iPod I received back in the 80's and it has 6700 songs on it of all genres. I can play for 15.6 days without repeating a song. It is a 64Gb iPod and only has 24.17Gb used.
  19. Stayed at Shenanigans. Had a top level site and was able to back out onto the main road to leave. Once past the first 3 or 4 sites it is 10% down hill. Glad I didn't have to do that. Also stayed at Escapee's park, Hollister, MO. Price was definitely right and 1/2 mile from The Landing.
  20. Wish I could read it but one has to subscribe to Washington Post. Not happening for me.
  21. Mine is on the ladder. I first used tie wraps then bought the FMCA fasteners. For the front I purchase some small suction cups with hooks. Hooks go through the holes on the plate and sticks to the lower front passenger window.
  22. Phone! You use a phone to post pictures! I only use this thread on my 27" MAC computer and it is so easy to post pictures or links.
  23. I always remember to pull the Patio and Rear awning in and many times do it the night before. Twice we started to leave a CG with the door awning out. Good thing there were no poles on right hand turns. Saved!
