  1. I would start with Freightliner. I recommend an all wheel alignment. My rear axle was out of alignment from the factory. http://www.freightlinerofmaine.com/ Bill

    Inverter

All the ice makers I have seen in RV refrigerators are 120V. If you are running the refrigerator on propane you still need 120V for the icemaker. Brett, Herman, I must drive smoother than you do as I haven't had a problem with sloshing the water out of the icemaker in my new residential refrigerator. Yes I think it could. Bill
  3. Well I never had one of those fancy coaches with a central vacuum. I bought a Hoover windtunnel with the pivoting head. I think it does a better job than the Dirt Devel central units I have seen. Bill
  4. Good luck, keep us updated. Bill

    Inverter

The one other thing you may need the inverter for is if you have a RV refrigerator with an ice maker. You can run the fridge on propane when going down the road however you need 120V to power the icemaker. Bill
  6. What size tire are you running. I used a Acme tow dolly for a couple years with no problems. I don't remember what the ply rating was but it was fairly high. You might call them. https://cartowdolly.com/product/12-spare-tire-only-no-wheel/ Bill
  7. It goes back to that old saying, just because you can doesn't mean you should. I have watched people driving their coaches round and round looking for some pace to park. Worse yet driving there coaches in parks like the Smokies. Where the roads arn't wide enough to safely pass on coming traffic. Bill
  8. Please report back what your results are. I would use double the recommended dose for the first tank. Bill
  9. rpelatt, Try running Diesel Kleen at about 50% above the listed ratio for a few tanks. Bill
  10. Welcome to the forum. Nothing wrong with being interested in MPG. I pay close attention to my milage. This gives me a baseline so if there is any major change I know something needs attention. As it has been said by others, it doesn't matter gas or diesel they get 5-9 MPG. One interesting thing is as engines have evolved they have gotten more fuel efficient. However as this has happened they have gotten bigger and heavier so the milage has stayed about the same. The one exception to this is when they started to use DEF they were able to improve milage. The main reason is they were able to undo some of the changes for emission requirements. One big one is they cut down on how much exhaust gas is re circulated in the EGR system from around 35% to 4-5%. Bill
  11. On my little 5.9 the hose for the air compressor comes off the 90* elbow just at the intake not before the turbo. There is a possibility of moving the air intake for the compressor further upstream from where you might install the propane injector. I seriously doubt it would backflow very far against the intake charge. One outher thing on my engine they show to drill into the intake on the short piece just before the casting. Well I have had that apart and it has a convoluted inner liner to diffuse the EGR gases going into the intake charge. Bill
  12. I like my Brake Buddy because I got it used and cheap. By the way welcome to the forum. I don't have a protective shield and can't point to any damage caused by towing. Bill
  13. We were south west of Indianapolis never saw a thing, to many dark storm clouds. Bill
  14. That's fine and I definitely understand having health concerns. But that is only a small number of people. I just don't see the point of having a mobile condo and staying put. Bill
  15. From Washington State University web site http://postharvest.tfrec.wsu.edu/pages/N6I1A "The limit of gas to air ratios between which explosions can occur, are expressed as lower explosive limit (LEL) and upper explosive limit (UEL). Outside of these limits there is no danger of explosion. For propane they are 2.2% (LEL) and 9.5% (UEL). This means that if there is less than 2.2% propane in a room, there is not enough fuel to explode, or if there is above 9.5% propane in a room, there is not enough oxygen present to allow an explosion." So it might be that the ratio would be to low too be a problem, Interesting. Bill
  16. Ok I have read a bunch of people who are looking for that one place to spend the winter season. My question is WHY? I just don't understand the fascination of going to one spot and spending the whole winter season in one spot when you have a "motorhome". I can understand back in the day when you rented a place for the season. When you drove your car South for the season. Now you have the luxury of a mobile condo and you go set in one place. Bill
  17. Well some people have a thing for wilted lettuce and warm dressing. Some even like warm potato salad. Bill
  18. The good news is they are fairly easy to change. Bill
  19. I run it in every tank. I like it for the cetane boost and keeping everything clean. The fact it provides some lubricity doesn't hurt and yes I run more than the minimum mix. Carl, try running about +50% of the recommended dosage and see what you get. Bill
  20. Yep love that free camping. I was sitting out watching the Buffalo. Just got back from eating at the Red Onion in Joplin. Really good. Bill
  21. That is about what my Continentals cost. Base price $418.00 + mounting and balancing + taxes + disposal. So far they ride great, In Joplin tonight. Bill
  22. Joe, that is pretty common. Most people don't ever "exercise them" or try to open them and they are stuck when they need them. One more thing for the annual maintenance list. Bill
  23. Welcome to the forum. One outher thing is to check the grounds. Pore grounds is often a problem. But the gages may be bad, hope not. Bill
