  1. $49,500 is cheap for that quality coach. Bill
  2. Not my ideal coach If it doesn't have opposing slides in the front I am not interested. But it looks like a cream puff for those looking for something with no slides. Bill
  3. There have been several people posting in the past that wanted a coach with no slides. I was looking at something else when this popped up. I think if you are looking for a premium coach with no slides this is a steal. It is a 1996 Foretravel. For those who don't know I would consider Foretravel to be one of the top 5 makers. http://kennedale.rvusa.com/1996-foretravel-u295-36-diesel-used-class-a-tx-i1975638 I just thought I would share. Bill
  4. I see why you have to use the ladder brackets. I have a rear radiator so I have a place to attach my egg. I am with you "I call it comradely" but some don't want to associate with us rabble. Bill
  5. I am not sure what fuel capacity would do for operating cost other than being able to take advantage of cheaper fuel when available, GasBuddy is your friend. Mallie, You definitely picked a great coach for a starter. Bill
  6. That is great. Glad they got it back on quickly. Bill
  7. Herman, Hope they get the power back on. If they don't just fire up the BBQ and get that turkey done. Isn't it nice to have the power from the coach. Bill
  8. You deserve a day off. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving. Bill
  9. Just be extremely careful I have seen oil fiers from not doing it right. It does a tasty job. What time will it be ready? Bill
  10. I use Power Service Diesel Kleen. I use the silver bottle in the summer and white in the colder months in every tank and dose with their Biocide. I mostly use the Biocide when it is going to be parked for a while. When on a trip I use it about every 5 tank to counter anything I may have picked up. Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum Chad and Happy Thanksgiving. The problem with tires is it is what you can't see. Here are some good reference links. The first one talks about service life of tires. In the first bulletin they talk about having your tires inspected by a dealer at 5 years and some where I have the bulletin that states after 5 they should be dismounted and inspected https://www.michelinb2b.com/wps/b2bcontent/PDF/3_TB_Service_Life_RV_Motorhome.pdf http://www.michelinrvtires.com/assets/pdf/MotorHomeTireArticle.pdf http://www.michelinrvtires.com/reference-materials/videos/ Look at the FMCA Michelin plan. You can also buy tires for your other cars with it to. I just saved $172.00 on the tires for my toad. We are waiting to hear about a plan with Continental to be announced, soon I hope. I know the cost is high to replace your tires but one blow out can cost you much more. Bill
  12. Welcome to the forum. Most likley if the FMCA towing guide doesn't show it it is not towable. What does the owner's manual say? Is it all wheel drive My research at Remco shows it IS NOT towable 4 down. The all wheel must use a trailer but the front wheel drive may be towed on a dolly. http://www.remcoindustries.com/Towing/Store.php Bill
  13. Happy Thanksgiving, thanks for reporting back. I bet I know someone who will be dosing his tank with a biocide regularly. Bill
  14. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!! Bill
  15. Welcome to the forum Darle. I put mine on the rear grill with zipties as I didn't want it in the way when I used the ladder. I bet some one will be along soon with info on a bracket. Bill
  16. There are others out there that is the first one I found as an example. You could wire one yourself probably under $10.00. Carl we can have a party for Herman in Chandler Az. I was told we could have a cake but they are worried that many candles would be a fire hazard. Bill
  17. Like Carl said put in a disconect switch where it is easy to reach and install disconnect switches for the fuses like this one. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Ox-BX88271-Bypass-Switch/dp/B009APJ2UU Bill
  18. Rich, I haven't driven it but have read about it, but lots of interesting roads in the lower 48. The Million Dollar Highway or 550 from Durango to Montrose comes to mind. This summer we were back in Ca and drove over most of the alleged big hills, but if you want to get experience driving hills drive I-15 from the Canadian border to LA. I-17 is another fun road from Phoenix up to Flagstaff. I may have to get one of the books so I can mark of the ones I have been across. Bill
  19. I hope everything goes well with your wife's surgery. As others have said you are in our prayers You need to drop down to Co and plan on spending some time as there is lots to see and do. Plan on riding the cog railroad to the top of Pikes Peak. You should visit all the National parks in Co. Rocky Mountain National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, and my favorit Mesa Verde National Park. One more place with breathtaking scenery Colorado National Monument. You can take I-70 West and visit Utaw and stop in Moab as a base to visit Arches National Park and all 4 sections ofCanyonlands National Park. Bill
  20. Yep small world, you never know who you will run into in a campground. Bill
  21. I have Blue OX Aventa it is rated at 10,000 lbs My bar is the old style. I would buy another one. The only failures I have seen/heard about had to do with the operator bottoming out and over stressing the tow bar. Bill
  22. I am so glad you were able to clear that up for me.
