Here is a question. in another thread the topic of driving over the speed a tire is rated for came up. What is your thoughts on this. If you have 75 mph rated tires how fast can you drive safely? We just spent from last Thursday here with the Red River Rovers at Coyote Ranch Resort, 14145 US-287, Wichita Falls, TX 76310, coyoteranchresort.com, (940) 767-6700. I find it interesting that the 5.9 in the Cummins truck has a higher governed speed of 3200 rpm while my 5.9 is governed at 2800 rpm. I wonder if it is just the computer or what exactly is different. Bill

Does your touchpad show what gear you are in? Some just show the gear selected. That would be just a little high for my coach running in 5th gear. I have to get to 65 to get my coach to shift into 6th and it drops to about 1650 rpm. So what engine and transmission do you have. I would like to see you bring it slowly up to 66 and watch the tack and see if it shifts one more time. Bill

We have been using CoPilot for a couple of years now. You can download maps when you have wifi and you don't use data. I have found it to be quite accurate. You can set the settings for your RV. It isn't free but I think it is under $10.00 and you can use it on several devices. I have it on a 10" tablet for navigation in the motor home and on the phones for in the car. With any device you need to pay attention and not follow it blindly. They have a new one geared to just RV it is $50.00 and the reviews I have read say it needs more work. Which is surprising considering how good the cheap one is. Bill

Keon, Look at some of the mapping programs/apps they will help keep you off roads with restrictions. You can set your preferences on what you want to avoid, tunnels,toll roads, points of interest such as restaurants ect. Bill

There is probably a reason all the manufactuers say not to back up. I wish I had one to cut open and see if there was damage. More fun would be to do a "anuel" X ray and look for damage and how it progresses. Makes me wish I still had access to a x ray booth. Bill

Yes you may be able to back up a short distance but the question is what damage are you doing that you can't see. The towbars are designed to handle the load and stress in one direction. The guy I helped in my post, he only backed up a few feet. His towbar was seriously jammed up. You have to wonder how much damage did it do the the locks on the legs. Bill
