  1. I wonder if the OP figured out what was wrong. Bill
  2. I am hoping they have a program with both. Some competition wouldn't hurt. Bill
  3. I agree with Brett. Turn off your water and the hot water heater and drain the hot water tank. This would be a good time to flush out the bottom of the tank. Put the plug in and just let it fill. This will create a air bubble in the top of the tank. Sometimes the leaking pressure relief valve can be caused by mineral deposits or just a bit of crud in the valve seat. Try turning the pressure relief valve back and forth and see if it cleans the valve seat. By the way you don't need a super special one from Camping World, one from Home Depot works just the same for about $15.00. Take your old one with you. Bill
  4. If I didn't say it earlier, welcome to the forum. What filters did they replace and how did they say it damaged the turbo? Bill
  5. Makes you understand why there are people selling EGR delete kits. It would be nice if the OP came back with some more info. Bill
  6. Welcome to the forum. Some coaches must have a valve that stays in the dump position. That could create another problem of forgetting to change back. I saw a tag coach going down I-35 South the other day when I was in the toad. His tag looked like it was floating as it would bounce off the ground at every joint or bump, just kind of float up not like violent bump. Bill
  7. I certainty do need help. If you watch this video you may have a better understanding of how a ERG cooler works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4G9IrmxjOM Bill
  8. My problem is I spent over 40 years where it had to be torqued to an exact number. While Your setup will work for that one application I am looking at something like this. https://www.amazon.com/Neiko-03715B-2-Inch-Multiplier-1100-Feet-Pound/dp/B0017K5ARU/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1477324310&sr=8-4&keywords=torque+wrench+multiplier Bill
  9. Yes this coach introduced me to pex. I have about 3ft of 1/2 pex and an assortment of fittings. Most are "shark bite" so I don't need to crimp them. Bill
  10. If it gets to cold in Snowflake you can visit the part of south Texas known as the Valley. Lots of places to stay around McAllen. Bill
  11. Glad you got it fixed and thanks for coming back and sharing with us what the fix was. Bill
  12. Welcome to the forum. Thank you for your service. I like the name kind of fits with the military way of having acronyms for everything. Bill
  13. I am not sure about your thermostat but try this. Pull the front cover off. See if there is a fuse, remove the fuse and check it then put the (good) fuse back in and see if that helps. Bill
  14. I am a big fan of Blue Ox and I haven't heard of any verifiable problems with them. I also like that when I disconnect my toad I don't have all that towbar sticking on the front. You have to look close to see it is set up to tow. My towbar is rated to 10,000 pounds so I can tow nearly anything I can get a base plate for. Bill
  15. Lets start with going back and reviewing the owner's manual and following it step by step. Just in case you are overlooking something. Then tell us what make slide out mechanism you have. Look at the bright side at least it is in and you can drive. Bill
  16. I have seen CB antennas clamped to the top of the drivers side miere I think they just drilled a hole through the wall and sealed it. Bill
  17. Where did you get the multiplier, what brand ? Bill
  18. We added a memory foam pad to our mattress to make it a little better. Are you talking about the switch or the pump itself? Did you get any documentation with the coach? I don't have much experience with the older gas Bounders. The pump may be in the compartment forward of the fresh water hook up and sewer dump. Look on the main control panel (master switch) and for a switch and near the sink. There may be one by the bathroom sink to. Bill
  19. I wouldn't worry about running your dash air. Same basic system but different refrigerant. If you worked on the R-12 systems you could work on your R-134 system you just need different gages and the proper refrigerant. I hear of few problems with dash air. They really have gotten better in the last 40 years. So run that dash air and enjoy. Bill
  20. Sounds like a good plan to me. I have had people just stare when I tell them we are going some place (say Maine next summer) and they say how long will it take you and I say I don't know. Then the question is when will you be back, I git weird looks when I say before Thanksgiving. Most people can't imagine being gone for more than 2 weeks maybe 3 at the most. Like some have said it is nice to travel at your own pace, if you see something interesting stop and explore it. Bill
  21. Keon, I bet you haven't stopped smiling since you got home. Carl, I hope natural gas prices go up now that I am a royalty owner. Bill
  22. Y....e....p. but we get to do it all day every day. Bill
  23. Going down the coast is warmer. I would look at 90 west to 395 south to 182 around Kennewick to 82 and then follow 84 to Portland then I-5 down to Albany and take 20 to the coast. Or you can just go down I-5 and hope the pass is clear. Bill
  24. I know but just wait it is as good as you have heard, to have time to travel. Bill
  25. I am with you,300 miles a day or about 6 hours. I don't have to be in a hurry. I also wonder if the OP who started this thread back in August 3, 2011 ever got their diesel coach. Bill
