  1. Until I see more info or pictures I think the tube just came out of the compression fitting. I have never seen a gage with a quick disconnect in this type aplication. Bill
  2. With out pictures or being there it is hard to know exactly what is wrong and what to do. I will make a SWAG. You said the hose came out of the connector. I am assuming the connector screws on the gage. Take the connector off the gage. Be careful there may/should be a small ferral that goes around the plastic line. If you have enough slack trim about a 1/2 in off the line. slide the line through the connector slide the ferrule over the line about 3/8 to 1/2 in past the end. re install the connector to the gage. See if that stops the leak. Hard ware stores often have this type connector I have bought some at a Home Depot in the section with all the brass fittings I bet this is a compression type fitting. Let me know if that works. Take some pictures. Bill
  3. You guys are making me feel pretty good about my milage. in the last 9,085 miles it is 9.031. Not to bad as this trip was in the west. My little 5.9 300 hp got me over all the hills just fine. I run about 65-68 I don't shift into 6th till 65. I may try bumping it to 70 on the long flat straightaway better known as west Texas. Bill
  4. You might as well call Coachnet as you don't believe what people have told you. Bill
  5. That is a heavy dose of Sta-Bil but it shouldn't keep it from running. I agree with kaypsmith that it sounds like a plugged fuel filter. There is a Sta-Bil for ethanol blended gas and I would try that next time. Let us know what you find. Filters are cheap and a good place to start. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00125ZMD2?tag=price145380f-20&ascsubtag=wtbs_5830c5157ff98d3267520d1f Bill
  6. You can say that again. When I had my tires installed on the CR-V at a big Michelin truck shop they were going to run the lug nuts with the same inch drive impact they use on the trucks. I stopped him and told him they only torqued to 80 ft pounds. They had to go find a small torque wrench. Bill
  7. Good article and will help people understand the importance of torquing the right way. Bill
  8. Chad welcome to the forum. Like Brett, I see no reason you couldn't run a 275/70 22.5 X2A2 Energy from Michelin. One other tire is the 255/80 R22.5 XRV in the right load range. Here is a tool that you can use to compare size. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ Bill
  9. Here is a question. in another thread the topic of driving over the speed a tire is rated for came up. What is your thoughts on this. If you have 75 mph rated tires how fast can you drive safely? Here is a link to the outher thread. http://community.fmca.com/topic/9122-gasser-game-changer-for-me/?page=4#
  10. This might be a good question for Tire Man. Bill
  11. Drive any way you want just so you know the risk. Bill
  12. We just spent from last Thursday here with the Red River Rovers at Coyote Ranch Resort, 14145 US-287, Wichita Falls, TX 76310, coyoteranchresort.com, (940) 767-6700. The weather was a little cool in the morning, in low 50s but warmed up to mid 70s in the afternoon. But this is north Texas in November. Bill
  13. Bill, I have been looking at them and talked to a couple people who have just done it this weekend. I have a feeling there will be some in my future. You do know your tires are only rated for 75. Bill
  14. What is wrong with Maverick Ranch RV Park? http://www.lajitasgolfresort.com/default.aspx?pg=maverickranch Or this one, Rio Grande Village RV Campground, https://www.nps.gov/bibe/planyourvisit/rgv_hookups.htm There is nothing "close" in the Big Bend area. Bill
  15. Are you going to sand the sub floor? What about sealer? You have picked the right guy. Bill
  16. That was back when Noah was still working on his boat. Bill
  17. Jo interesting that company is located in Irving Texas. But they are closed mouth about where to buy it. Bill
  18. I find it interesting that the 5.9 in the Cummins truck has a higher governed speed of 3200 rpm while my 5.9 is governed at 2800 rpm. I wonder if it is just the computer or what exactly is different. Bill
  19. Does your touchpad show what gear you are in? Some just show the gear selected. That would be just a little high for my coach running in 5th gear. I have to get to 65 to get my coach to shift into 6th and it drops to about 1650 rpm. So what engine and transmission do you have. I would like to see you bring it slowly up to 66 and watch the tack and see if it shifts one more time. Bill
  20. That is not bad for your rig. One of these days you can join the ranks of the unemployed. I once drove from San Antonio to Washington DC non stop. Now 300 miles is a long day. Bill
