  3. There are others out there that is the first one I found as an example. You could wire one yourself probably under $10.00. Carl we can have a party for Herman in Chandler Az. I was told we could have a cake but they are worried that many candles would be a fire hazard. Bill

  5. Rich, I haven't driven it but have read about it, but lots of interesting roads in the lower 48. The Million Dollar Highway or 550 from Durango to Montrose comes to mind. This summer we were back in Ca and drove over most of the alleged big hills, but if you want to get experience driving hills drive I-15 from the Canadian border to LA. I-17 is another fun road from Phoenix up to Flagstaff. I may have to get one of the books so I can mark of the ones I have been across. Bill
  6. I hope everything goes well with your wife's surgery. As others have said you are in our prayers You need to drop down to Co and plan on spending some time as there is lots to see and do. Plan on riding the cog railroad to the top of Pikes Peak. You should visit all the National parks in Co. Rocky Mountain National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, and my favorit Mesa Verde National Park. One more place with breathtaking scenery Colorado National Monument. You can take I-70 West and visit Utaw and stop in Moab as a base to visit Arches National Park and all 4 sections ofCanyonlands National Park. Bill

  8. I have Blue OX Aventa it is rated at 10,000 lbs My bar is the old style. I would buy another one. The only failures I have seen/heard about had to do with the operator bottoming out and over stressing the tow bar. Bill

  11. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. The heat pumps only work down to the low 40s after that it will turn on the heat strip and if that isn't enough my system changes to the furnace. The one constant is no two systems/coaches are set up the same. I am trying to figure out how one type of heating can produce wet heat and one dry? They both operate off sealed heat exchangers. The only heat source that would produce any moisture is heat from the Gas range or oven. I know Carl and Jo don't have gas in their coach so I am confused. Bill
  12. I was checking my tire pressure at a campsite this summer and this "gentleman" was walking his dog by and asked "what are you doing?" I said checking my air pressure. He said "I have the dealer do that in the spring when the coach is in for maintenance." The moral is some obsess over pressure changes down to the tenth of a pound and some not so much. Bill
  13. Until I see more info or pictures I think the tube just came out of the compression fitting. I have never seen a gage with a quick disconnect in this type aplication. Bill
  14. With out pictures or being there it is hard to know exactly what is wrong and what to do. I will make a SWAG. You said the hose came out of the connector. I am assuming the connector screws on the gage. Take the connector off the gage. Be careful there may/should be a small ferral that goes around the plastic line. If you have enough slack trim about a 1/2 in off the line. slide the line through the connector slide the ferrule over the line about 3/8 to 1/2 in past the end. re install the connector to the gage. See if that stops the leak. Hard ware stores often have this type connector I have bought some at a Home Depot in the section with all the brass fittings I bet this is a compression type fitting. Let me know if that works. Take some pictures. Bill
  15. You guys are making me feel pretty good about my milage. in the last 9,085 miles it is 9.031. Not to bad as this trip was in the west. My little 5.9 300 hp got me over all the hills just fine. I run about 65-68 I don't shift into 6th till 65. I may try bumping it to 70 on the long flat straightaway better known as west Texas. Bill

  17. That is a heavy dose of Sta-Bil but it shouldn't keep it from running. I agree with kaypsmith that it sounds like a plugged fuel filter. There is a Sta-Bil for ethanol blended gas and I would try that next time. Let us know what you find.   18. You can say that again. When I had my tires installed on the CR-V at a big Michelin truck shop they were going to run the lug nuts with the same inch drive impact they use on the trucks. I stopped him and told him they only torqued to 80 ft pounds. They had to go find a small torque wrench. Bill
