RV Storage In Austin Or Ft Worth TX For Three Weeks
wildebill308 replied to Gauke's topic in Campgrounds
I second the Huston plan. In Fort Worth there is going to be a string of really cold, for hear, days starting tomorrow. The temperature will drop from mid 70s to low to mid 20s overnight. Houston would be my choice of a place to leave my coach. I take it you are not going to winterise it. If you do winterise it. You could leave it anywhere. I would still look at the Houston area. The last time I stayed in Houston it was here. Eastlake RV Resort,11802 Lockwood Rd, Houston, TX 77044, eastlakervresort.com, (832) 243-6919. It isn't far from the airport and they had some storage area. Bill- 6 replies

I think if you are going I-30 there is a Fam camp at Little Rock AFB. Not far from where 30 meets I-40. Bill -

I would tell them they are still required to fix it under warranty. If the 2017 coaches have the same switch why can't they use one of them on your coach? Bill -
Tom, welcome to the forum. Kind of hard to tell without seeing if there were any codes stored about the event. Did you notice the water temperature during the event? Were there any other symptoms like bucking? I have basically the same engine. I think my coach sat for a long time before I got it. I didn't have a major contaminated fuel problem but I ran several tanks of fuel with a double dose of Diesel Kleen additive. You may still have some deposits in the system that caused a temporary derate. Let us know what you find. Bill

Glad you made it in safe and sound. If your next stop is El Paso that is a long day You might want to spend the night in Tucson. That is about half way. I know I don't like those 500+ mile days. Bill -

For those who don't know what that is here's a video showing all the different ways through it (some have way to much time) and different approaches. There is nothing to be scared of unless you are on the upper levels in a ice storm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSaUAC7cbOY We have so much traffic we have to have 2 I-35 freeways one 35E and 35W. I wish I had a video of the construction on I-35W and North 820. Maybe I just wish I had a concrete factory. Bill -
Upon Further Review as they say, I am inclined to say the FLT is just an (weird) abbreviation for Fault. You said it did it before after sitting for a while so take it for a road trip and see if it clears. May just need some exercise. Bill

Here is a set of wiring diagrams. They are for a 04 but should be pretty close. http://www.spartanchassis.com/cps/login/UploadedFiles/0155-GG7 2004.75 NEWMAR DUTCH STAR WITH 03 ISL 370 VGT 021104_12720061005597748750.pdf I would start by checking all the conections. Sometimes these faults clear after driving for a while. Your brakes should work just fine but won't have the ABS feature. Let us know what you find. Bill

Cornerstone RV Extended Service
wildebill308 replied to clifffenno's topic in Extended Service Policies
Welcome to the forum Jerry. Unfortunately you are finding out why many on hear (Me included) self insure. Put the money in a savings account and if you don't need it you have money to put down on the next coach. I may just be lucky but the only repair I have done was to replace a convection /microwave oven. I spent less than the $500.00 deductible in the OPs post. Bill -

What does she have against Dallas? Well that is still I-10 to I-20 I would stop before Hitting the DFW area on I-20 look at Cowtown RV Park, 7000 I-20 Frontage RD, Aledo, Texas 76008, cowtownrvpark.com, (817)441-7878. My next recommended stop is in Little Rock (this is my favorite first night stop heading east on I-30) Downtown Riverside RV Park, 50 Riverfront Dr, North Little Rock, AR 72114, downtownriversidervpark.com, (501) 340-5312. Nice right on the banks of the Arkansas River. Bill -

You could run I-10 all the way to I-95 then go north. Depends on where in NC you are headed. One outher way is to do I-10 to where I-20 splits off in west Texas then follow I-20 to where it joins I-30 in Fort Worth then to Little Rock and pick up I-40 there. If you do go that way use I-20 around the south of the Fort Worth Dallas area and follow 635 north to I-30. Bill -

This is probbabley the best. Randolph 345 Acid Proof Battery Box Black Paint http://www.skygeek.com/345qt.html?utm_source=googlebase One extra step if/when you have everything clean. As a prep step use a Phosphate rinse like this one. http://www.por15.com/ . Now I think if cleaned properly the bead liner material may work as well. Or just use a couple of coats of a good paint (rattlecan) like rustoleum. Everything is now easily available with the internet. Brett what do you use on the boat? Bill
