Look up Frank Zeuner under FMCA members, send him a PM, he lives in Lakeland and I would bet that he knows a good shop near you.

When was the last time you purged your drier, and air tanks?

I wasn't going to, but here is what happened, mind you, twice before I had no problem, right tow truck and very knowledgeable driver. But on the last call, a lady took the call, and of course asked all of the questions on her cheat sheet, one of course is what brand motorhome, mine is of course a converted MCI, which is what I told her, I was put on hold for about a minute, a male voice came back on the phone and he proceeded to tell me that they didn't cover commercial carriers and that mine is a commercial carrier. I explained that it was converted and is definitely a motorhome. He answered, ok, I will send somebody to verify that it is. About 30 minutes later a tinkertoy wrecker showed up with two people on board to verify that is was a motorhome, they came aboard and looked it over and called AAA back to verify that it was a MH. By this time two hours have passed and it is now pitch dark on a secluded curvy mountain road with my coach two thirds onto the road. The guys told me that they would be back within an hour with the proper equipment to tow it to a place of safety, two hours passed and they did not return, it was about that time that AAA called me back to inform me that I would have to leave it there till morning because there was not a wrecker large enough to tow that night. Meanwhile my daughter and son in law got involved and was able to get a person to come check and possibly fix the problem, which was the purge valve on the drier. He was able to get the bus to air up finally and at least got me on my way. I had to keep fanning the brakes to not allow the valve to let off pressure again to my destination. Sorry to be so long, but this was the only time that AAA was not Johnny on the spot, can't really blame them, as they did at least try and I believe that a proper tow truck would have arrived the next morning, this was within 2 miles of my home, and I know all the services around the area, and did verify that it was a bad day to try to get a large wrecker that night. And again, I do not hold AAA to blame, I will continue to use them in the future.

Rubber Strip Around Slide-out Loose-- What Adhesive?

Wow, that stuff ought to be good! It must contain platinum, LOL. I have used that 3M junk for more than 45 years, never had it give up prematurely yet. -
I've been with AAA for many years, have the premiere RV plan, and have had several times that the service was impeccable, the last time I called, I finally met that guy that didn't have a clue as to what a motorhome was, much less what was needed. In reality, Mama was right when she said there would be days like this. I tried GS for a few years, and that's where the last guy came from that lied to get a job at AAA. LOL!

Mark, will take a few new shots when it's daylight, and start a new thread. I bought this jewel on ebay in 2009, and have been very happy with the end results. 7.5 on last 680 round trip towing my little Geo Tracker. And thanks.

Call John Cherry at Evoloution Custom Coach, located in White Haven Pennsylvania, phone number 570-443-5700, ask if he can recommend somebody. Have done lots of business with him in the past, I find him to be at least honest and very knowledgeable.

It is a nice coach, when traveling back to Alabama, be sure to check out Joe Wheeler State Park, close to your old stomping grounds on 72 near Rogersville, Al., very nice campground.

So the poor person driving that rv didn't have their seat belt on? He or she should have watched the video that is linked to that video to be more prepared to keep the crash from happening.

Mark, not a nerve for me either, my wife often makes remarks that there should be a law. I tell her all the time that what is more common sense than laws, there are many laws already on the books that no one can, or will enforce. Just an example, there are laws on the books that state no video device shall be placed within viewing distance of the driver, if it could be enforced, it would. A smart phone while being used to show video, or view text messages, is a video device. A very simple app would be to have the phone simply not show any video if the phone is moving faster than two miles per hour, but all the other passengers in the vehicle would be penalized for just riding in that vehicle. Air bags are good but they have their place, I do strongly support the use of seat belts.

The only government mandate that I would like to see happen is, force the cell phone companies put the necessary software on the phones that would insure that the phone will not work at all if the phone is closer than 39 inches of the steering wheel circumference of any vehicle. Texting while driving and dialing the phone while driving is now causing more accidents than DUI. SADDDDD! With today technology, it is not impossible to do, only lobbiest will be able to keep this from happening. With bluetooth technology, there is no need for a driver to have a cellphone within hands reach of the steering wheel, if they can't say it, they don't need to send it. Now I will back off of my soapbox.LOL!

Too many government regulations for sure! I don't allow anyone to ride without a seatbelt, but every seat does not have a seatbelt. There is typically two people riding in my coach, so I don't want a seat belt on every seat. There was a topic a while back about pets riding and not riding restrained, my pets are not permitted to wander freely in the MH while it is moving, I have small cages that they ride in and are bolted to the floor for the same reason. Yes safety can be a major concern, and for this reason, I vote for personal responsibility. Keeping tires up to date is a personal responsibility, and a far greater safety concern for me than worrying about a need for an airbag. Airplanes and commercial motor carriers are still not using airbags yet, don't you think that if everybody needs them that the GOVERNMENT would mandate that. If you want to feel safer, add your own and don't tell uncle sam to come meddling in my life.

The power cord reel should be 12 volt DC, so look at the 12 volt fuses, you probably know this, but someone else may not.

We find this true even our stick and brick homes.

Do you have a child, mother or father, aunt or uncle? The letter states that you can have multiplicals, only one must contain a real street address, surely there is a family member or a good friend that will allow you to use theirs.

Yep, those unexpected things happen from time to time, new or used, and they always seem to happen at the worst time. Two weeks ago, planned trip to Tennessee for six months, leave on Thursday with a two day stopover in Chattanooga, just need to change oil, been raining everyday for the past two weeks, Tuesday finally got to change the oil, I always inspect the motor for any possible repairs. Uh-Oh, cracked left bank exhaust manifold, can't drive like this, Wednesday morning scrambling in hope of finding a used manifold, nope, have to overnight for Thursday AM delivery. Needless to say, Thursday departure be must postponed. Thursday 3 PM, raining cats and dogs, call campground in Chat., be there Friday. A day late and $1100.00 short, did leave on Friday and an eight day very good vacation.

If no full hookup, I just carry my honeywagon along, 5 dumps @ $30.00, it would have been paid for. Pulls nicely behind the miniature golf cart.

My exact thought also, especially if you are in a class B and probably not using the truck stop truck (diesel only) section.

The cooler air input is, the cooler the output will be. Also, the head is the most important body part to keep cool, cold air falls, so if you place the fan on the floor at the coolest location in the coach and point it to where people are, at any given time, the coach will feel much cooler than it is overall. For really extreme temperatures, one can actually put an ice pack under their cap, to help bear the heat more comfortably.
