Ditto, on both DD69 & Bill E. I bought a new 2011 Allegro Bus & paid cash. Turned out to be a POS. In 2013, I bought the 2010, American Coach 45 foot Tradition, that I have now! Yes, it's cost $$$ to maintain! I have looked at a lot of DP's over the past 5 years and then I ask myself, If you buy it, you'll have new Gremlins, or you can keep the ones you know? At 75, I'm keeping what I have! FIVE. From 24 years old to 65, I did what you said. That's why, I have had 17 class A's....but then, you cross the longevity threshold & become smarter! There is still a lot of World out there and a RV don't do well on the Oceans!

Yes, they have 50A full H/U. Think 2,000+ coaches and whatever amount of Trailers and Vendors! Perry is a big rally & a great place to have one!
-
Bill. From 1967 to 1985, we did the same. Even today, it depends on where we go & for how long! Not everyone thinks alike, that would be boring! When ever we went to CA., We would rent a car...last time was in 2006...my coach was in a RV park in San Diego, got a rental car to drive to Santa Monica (No RV's allowed, unless your making a movie)!

Kay, been there, done that and have several T-Shirts! Did it on purpose, when I bought this coach used. Had no idea, what the original drivers habit was! It can also happen, when you lose enough charge in your chassis battery! I have a auxiliary maintainer on mine.

Right on! Past ASA.
-
Byron. You said Farmington! We will be going 491 to Cortez, CO. the 27th. I'm a newbie, only been in the 4 corners area for 8 summers!
-
waters. Welcome to the Forum! Question is. What size RV do you have and when do you plan on going? Byron. 191 or 163 is no where near Farmingon! 491 of I-40 goes north to Monticello, UT. Farmington is on 64 and no where near Monument Valley!

OP is probably wrapped up in Fathers Day Weekend....Happy Fathers Day !
-
Lucas Slick Mist. Spray on wipe off, all surfaces, windows included. Protect all for bugs! I have used Blue Beacon, up until 4 years ago! It was $63 for a 45' coach & toad. Like in Mexico!
-
"lowest bidder", that's been the problem since the Industry came back in 2010/11 ! High $$$ POS.
-
Brown. How much does your coach weigh?
-
My 1987 Barth was painted with Imron, no wax needed....just soap and water! I used diesel fuel on a rag, to wipe the front....no bugs!
-
Your right about the wasp! Wrong part of Country. OP is some where in the Pacific North West, she did not say, but I suspect, in North Vancouver Island area! 100 miles from small town and 200 from big, puts her "off the grid"! I don't know if she has a toad.

I agree on the KOA in MB, also quiet. Enjoy one off my favorite foods, Shrimp & Grits ! Don't forget the Beer/Wine and have a good time!
-
All it took, was a foot on gas to point you in the right direction....each day that goes by, the more comfortable you'll be! Hang in there!!!
-
DD69. Your not gong to replace an AC for less than $1,200 avg. If you can't troubleshoot yourself and must heir someone, even at $100 an hour, it will not be near the cost of new! I agree with Brett and also you...18 years is the Q?!

Arkansas SR-7 SB from Harrison, AR to Hot Springs, AR
manholt replied to mac8253's question in Destinations/Attractions
Mac. What Make, Model, Year & Length coach do you have? Been there, in a SUV, but for me (50+ years of driving class A's), I would take Herman's recommendation! -
I'll give you a pass on the Quick Serve.
-
Bill, my best friend has about the same problem. Afib, with 50% blockage of the "Widow maker". He's been told to go ahead and travel for the summer! Has not driven further than 25 miles in 12 month's. He will have by pass surgery in October! They'r leaving for Cortez, CO., next week. ETA is 10 days, from Galveston, TX.
-
Well said Bill. Yes I can do 6-700 miles in a day, but I much prefer Ian's 250+/- with a couple of days lay over, every 3 days! Who is in a hurry? I did not spend $400K to run it like my truck or SUV at home!

Do you have propane in tank and is tank valve turned on?
-
This post was last answered in 2011? It was 7.3 gallons then, so it also was in 2006!

RV Armor is doing mine. Starting 7/17 at the FMCA Rally in Gillette, WY. Will let you know how that turns out.
