DD69. Totally agree and I hope Mike understand that now! Mike, mine is the same as FIVE has! When I had the 2011 Tiffin, Allegro Bus...it was the same as now. Have only had one Progressive on a 2007 WB Tour and it kept sticking in Shore power mood, had to hit it to get it to accept Generator (exchanged 3 times by WB in 5 years)! The last time was in 2009 and it was a Surge Guard...worked great until I traded for the Tiffin in January 2011. Hope it's been some help!

Sorry, my bad...we live in the country, outside City Limits! I forgot to mention that. We are also AG exempt. Homestead and over 65! Most important part, we live in Texas!
-
Yep, very informative reading from all. Great that the problem got fixed.
-
Ernie. Wish I had known that, the Lone Star just had a rally at Coffee Creek RV Resort off 281 about 13 miles South of Mineral Wells! Herman and I would have called you!

Joe. The proper placement of Stuff, will prevent you from having to crawl on DS. DS side on mine, has water hoses, extra sewer hose's and extra length of 50A cord & 30A cord. After hooking up, there is no reason for me to be there! Everything else is on PS in bins, I take out what we need, then let all slides out...I have no "Bling" inside coach. I do have a sofa, that I should have thrown out a long time ago & replaced with a recliner. OH well. Besides, your both shorter than us!

I agree, got to have at least 2+! I remember the first 5 class A, gas coaches, all to well. They where, 96 inches wide and gave you 92 inches interior...6 foot of head room, I was 6 foot 9 inches. Then in mid 1980, they came 102 inches wide, with 98 inch interior and 6 foot 6 inches interior height...that was a big change to us! Basement models came at the same time, along with DP and 34 foot. First coach with a slide out, 7 foot celling height and I was in Nirvana! Joe, want's a no slide coach, so he can get at all the "Stuff", he carries and his DW, thinks it will be easier to clean! I find, that the longer the "no slide" coach, the more furniture, the harder it is to keep clean! IMHO, the "Stuff" you carry, is limited, by the bays you can carry it in and the weight, you can carry!!!

OBIWAN. What your referring to, is sold mainly for Farm & Ranch storage of hay or farm equipment. They come in various sizes from 20' x 30' x 10' to 80' x 200' x 20'. Cost for a 30' x 60' x 18'...perfect for any DP coach or 40' + fiver is $11,000-$16,000. Not permanent, movable, but withstands wind to 85mph and totally weather resistant. No permit required.

Enjoy your new coach and hope your troubles are behind you!

Herman. I think he has moved, still in Texas, but closer to Red River. I do not believe he does tile/rug!
-
Even the older model, no slide out Prevost, has redundant back up systems and probes....Not much in the way of storage, they never where, converted for extended road trips. Even more so now!
-
From what I have read...none. Still best to read the owners manual as to best way to set it up! What are you towing it with? Welcome to the Forum!

We really need good mobil service in most areas of Texas! Right now, I only have one that I would recommend...He did my chassis and Allison last month. I did not have to tell him to put grease in U Joint, until it comes out the other side....no more "klunk" between 1st and 2nd gear!

2014 to present, NAPA 6V AGM's. 8 house batteries, 2 Magnum 2,800w ea. Have not had any issues..

That seems to be the problem with Cummins and any of their suggested applications...it's pretty much based on Commercial/OTR applications! We are left to flounder and over time, learn what works best for a recreation only application. How often do I change oil & filter? Once a year, regardless of mileage ( 10k-14k )! Rotella T-6, has been the choice on the last 2 DP's. The 2006 Cummins400, I ran whatever Cummins put in bulk. They told me it was "Cummins Oil".. I will not repeat, what I told the Service Manager, in Ocala, FL.

LOOKING FOR RECOMMENDATION FOR RV PARK NEAR SAN FRANSISCO
manholt replied to eric@babin.com's topic in Campgrounds
There are Parks in Pacifica, South of Frisco, about 10 minutes by car at far less $$ than closer in! There are a couple of wallet friendly RV resorts in Sparks, NV. that's 3 minute drive to Reno. Sam's Town Casino has a large truck parking lot and I have stayed there overnight before, but I asked and I gambled, so no problem! -
She will see mine & several Prevost's and Newell's in about 4 weeks....your in trouble!

1974 GMC 4108 - Custom Coach Land Cruiser

Richard. Your looking good. Great job! Not many coaches like yours, still rolling down the road. Your going to really stick out in Gillette! Beautiful "Old" Coach.. -
Moving my motorhome 20 miles: Carson City, NV
manholt replied to dickmasse's topic in Type A motorhomes
They still will need the information that Rich requested. I would want to know everything about that coach and a direct line to the Insurance Agent. Pamkay. This is really not under the "Pinch Hit Driver" program, as I see it. -
Congrats! Make the photo a $ bill, lot's of them!

Joe. That seal disappeared & the remaining one is in a couple of pieces. It's the round rubber that goes across the top and sides of inside, makes a tight seal between slide and wall, when out. Punxsy. Agreed.

I turn off roof AC about 5 to 10 minutes before, turning generator off. Then hook up to shore power, and turn on AC again! Reverse order, when leaving campground. Made the $993 mistake one time...turning generator off, while AC's was on! Burned Bushing...Labor was $900 !

The RV Industry, has in the last 30+ years, gone the direction of cheaper components, for the sake of more profit. If your coach is listed at $500k, they'll give you 30% off MSRP (feel good money), then you pay $350k, for something that cost $200k+/- to build. I would much rather see a build Invoice for $300k. Bill, I agree in principle, but reality is, if it cost $500 to $1,000....Manufacturers are going to buy the cheapest (China) they can get, so think $50 to $100! Most of the parts and components are 3 to 5+ years old before it ends up in a coach, installed by a non certified electrician or plumber! Most all components on my coach are pre 2006 for a 2010 coach!!!

Thanks Joe & Bill. I got to start looking at dates. What a waste!

Rich. It's not new, it was writhen up in 2015 and press released in 2016. What I would like to see first, is a list off effected engines (size and year). Second, is will this replace or be manufactured along with T-6?

I don't think there is any boisterous, physical activities in the RV....said another way, "This coach isn't rocking, so come a knocking"!
