No, I'm going to be 75 in 2 month's and common sense tells me to find a younger person to take care off the crawling problem! At 6 foot 8 inches I don't bend good anymore either!

City Water Also Fills Fresh Water Tank
manholt replied to 53rambler's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Thanks to you both! I'm a member of NT and we have one in North Austin. 50 miles from Linda, she will be home Monday with her coach, while I will be in Pipe Creek, TX with mine at Texas Custom Coach....We will both be in Burnet for Christmas!!! -
It's a difficult question Bill, we don't know where bm is at...so picking something in Texas, don't offer much help if he's in Maine, Seattle or Ontario, Canada!

My pump started acting up a couple of days ago on fresh water, changing out check valve tomorrow....be the second time in 4 years! Herman, where did you get your last replacement water pump from? Closest CW is 130 miles away, and Linda's quit today... -
I would use Craig's list or RV Trader.

BillA. I agree with you 100%! My born and on my Citizenship papers name is Carl U. Manholt Christensen ! A lot of my investments are in the name without Christensen and without Manholt....you want confusion, my inherited companies out side America is in the name of Holterman! So, you see, I'm not hiding behind anything!

Do you have a handle in the water bay that you turn one way for fresh and another for city? Do you have a built in filter/when was it last changed? Use a secondary filter on City water line? Your water pump should only come on when you use the fresh tank. If it comes on while not in use, you probably have some debris causing it to partially stay open. -
Exterior Maintenance - Cleaning and Waxing Fiberglass
manholt replied to QuiGonJohn's topic in Chassis
Mine was $150 for wash & worth every penny...they got rid off 90% of my bugs in front (commercial strength White Lightning) and hot water pressure washer set at 700 psi (hot water came from my outside shower)! Linda's was $250 for was/wax/ and heavy layer of wax on roof (Maguire's). About a mile from Flagstaff cut off from I-10E is a Pilot truck stop with Blue Beacon, they do a really good Job....$64 ! -
X2, got the T- Shirt.

Yes! too both. What kind of coach are we talking about...make, model and year? -
If your close to Decatur, IN. That's the manufacturing plant. Texas is a Service Center, that's only as good as the local help. Not Amish.

I use Lucas Slick Mist and it has eliminated 90% of the swirls, I got from a wash/wax job, in Mexico 3 years ago! Had mine washed for the 1st time in 3 years, at a Lone Star Rally, 2 weeks ago! Linda had hers washed/wax also...her 1st in 2 years, she uses the same as me! -
I have always wondered why FMCA people, have to hide behind another name that is not your own? Larry Pennington is Dan Ball. Does that also mean that Dan Ball, is really someone else?

Jim. "Killing our Owl population"?! You'll have to prove that one. I just asked Linda about that, she is a Rancher and Bird lover, actually I think fanatic. Her replay was, "that's a first for me"! Oh, we don't have the Spotted Owl in Texas, we got the look alike Mexican Owl and it's not on the endangered list anywhere!

Garlic/EVOO...ummm, in my pasta, yes! Rat's, no thanks. As for any kind of poison, depends on the area and quantity it is dispensed in and how it's controlled.
-
Yeah! It goes right along with Norcold/Thetford...

Herman. Monday am, yes! Have a few things that I postponed due to time constraint, remember the big crack in front windshield? It's longer! Linda has a electrical problem and water pump. Currently doing the Christmas Rally with Alzafar Shriner's RV Club!

Easy way to find out now. Unplug, turn on inverter and convection oven and make the biscuits/gravy...keep an eye on the amp draw. Or send a PM to B.

Also, Home Depot, Low's, Ace, True Value, Wall Mart and most big grocery stores! You hope they're DOA outside, I had one yesterday that was dead on a apple inside!

Ray. Keep an eye on the weather as you travel to San Antonio! We are in Bandera and it's cold/windy! Keep the rubber on the ground

OnTheRoad. Before you throw things out about cleaning, please let us know what kind of coach you have, also is yours a full body paint? Why should I buy a brand name vinegar? After 50 years of cleaning Class A's...I have never used any of the above! I advocate the KISS program! -
My GS is due in April....I'm seeing a trend here, that does not give me a "warm fuzzy feeling"!!!

Go to any OTR truck stop that sells tires, get the registration form, back date it with all the info including the DOT an mail it in! End story.

Fuel Economy-- Was This A Primary Consideration?
manholt replied to mweiner's topic in Type B Motorhomes
Class A. Gas or DP, economics was never, nor is it now, part of the equation! It was back 50 years ago and still now: Comfort, Safety and the ability to sleep anywhere, at any time and see the whole USA and Canada! Nothing against Class C or B, just never felt comfortable in one...- 43 replies
