  1. Bill. Try 1992 on a IBM 360, I had a security patch that took 5 hours to download, using Roadrunner cable ! In 1999, my last consulting contract for 12 months, I was using AutoCAD, don't remember witch one...I was amazed at the ease and speed of drawing up a Blow Out Prevention System for deep water drilling, along with all the umbilical line's for on/off, sub sea operation ! I have seen some of the new systems, unreal what they do today!
  2. We are at 29 and feels like 25 ! Ugh! Where is the flapper valve on a CAT 350?
  3. jj, Welcome to the Forum! What is BAC? Would help to know what year, make and model coach you have! Are you a FMCA member? Carl
  4. Ray. I would expect that they will renew contract for at least 3 years, but it may cost you more for the premium! Nice to hear that it all worked out for you and your good to go again. Where are you two headed to in April ? Carl
  5. The dash heater won't blow hot air, only cold. 2006 Tiffin Phaethon 40 DP. Thoughts? Carl

    2005 CAT 350

I have a Cummins, and know the shift points. My Lady friend has a Tiffin Phaeton, 2006, 40 foot, DP 350 Cat 2005. I have told her to downshift as needed for steep or long hill's . My question is, what are the approx., shift point's for up down, per rpm? For max torque? Carl
  7. Kay. Yes, the sitcom still holds true, especially for me and my lady friend. We both tow 4 down, both have Roadmaster, hers is 10,000 pounds and Air Force One breaks, she tow's a 2014 Expedition. Mine you know about. She thought about a Dolly, but being alone, felt it would take to long ! We are not Spring chickens and don't bend much anymore! Carl
  8. Rick. I'm as confused as you are! I do the same as you, including music. My Jacks are inoperable right now, as I have a broken hydraulic line and no fluid in tank, so I can't test the ACC thing. My Air level works fine and I tried ACC on it...nothing happened. I have the Power Gear Valid air and jacks. I'll let Bill work it out ! Carl
  9. If you do list it here, Don't include a price, your mail add., or phone # ! Just say that if your interested, then send me a PM...that way your personal info is secure!
  10. I have rented cars before and well understand Kay's reasoning...The biggest downside to me, would be out in the middle of nowhere (yes Bill, we still have room to roam), and have a flat or breakdown and no bars on my phone! I have an option when I tow! Dolly? To long to set up and tear down, also uneven wear on tires!

    Replacing Tire

My question? How old are your tires, what is the DOT numbers and was the low tire taking air? Carl
  12. OK. Now that we have covered that...we need the OP !
  13. Ross. Point taken! I'm guessing that Wayne figured FMCAssist belonged under "Roadside Assistance". They are both useful while traveling away from home! The only ones who might get confused, are non FMCA members of Forum. Up side of that is, they will look up what you get as a member of FMCA and learn about Assist and it's included in your annual dues. Rather than a separate policy! Good Sam offers it at $99 a year + Annual dues! Just my humble thought... The last time that we had a post on FMCAssist was under General Discussion" and it turned into a fiasco for Poster and us ! "Coach Fire in San Diego RV Park" ! Later we learned there was a medical issue also! Had it been posted here, she might have gotten a better response...I personally think we need a section on this subject matter! Carl
  14. So, what would you like to say? Positive or negative? about either! Did not think that Wayne or I was confused ! Carl
  15. flyinglow. Welcome to the Forum ! What make and model, do want to tow ? What make and model coach do you have to tow it with ? Carl
  16. Wayne. Thank you for a positive report ! We hear about the negative all the time, a change is nice! Carl
  17. Dometic was a fine product in the 70's and 80's ! It was a Swedish Co., Then a Belgian Co. bought it and it started going downhill from there...NorCold tried with out much success to fill the void...now, most folks go to a residential make, Mostly Samsung, they don't have to have a pure Sine wave Inverter/Converter.
  18. Agee! Wish mine did not have the Jack and air system. Air works fine for me!
  19. Gator, thanks for the link ! I'll call them when I get there as I need to replace 3 Hydraulic hoses for my Jack system, got one caped off now with a baggy to catch any left over fluid in system. Power Gear Valid, Jacks and Air leveling....cheap hoses! Carl
  20. Is that an 8KW ? How many hours does it have on it ?
  21. Bill. LOL, your leaving for AZ. the 27th. Roland is leaving for Texas the 1st of March! Where is it, that you'll see him? Carl
  22. I have said this before ! Here goes again. I have both Coach Net & GS ! Each is good for part, neither is 100%...
