Roland, send a PM to Joe and VIN#. I hope it's a 06' then it also does not do a re-generation on a Particulate filter! 2010 or newer is DEF. My chassis and Engine is Dec. 09, coach is Jan 2010...no DEF !
  2. Bill. First part, I agree! Second part, good luck with that !

Sorry Roland, you snuck in! It's not a race car, you should have no rust problems, engine will need some servicing, you got one of the best chassis made. Ref engine, is it a 06, 07 or 08? Other than that, it's a win, win coach.

Bill. Agree, but as Brett pointed out, some do better than others! In 2013 when I went along on I-10 in the dust storm that caused me to seek shelter in Deming, NM. I don't know what the mph was, they shut down I-10 for 18 hours from El Paso, TX. to Wilcox. With traffic on it ! Being able to see was my problem, not driving at 15-25mph! I was buffered, but I did not have a problem staying in my lane...biggest concern to me was the OTR's, trailers was wandering... Carl
  5. BillA, that's the truth and that's why I left them and the tag at 295's...as I said !
  6. Texas, I pay a total of $780 per yr. that includes the $7 annual inspection fee for a diesel, rest is weight over 26,000 pounds...my Jeep is $83 + $25 for inspection. Stay where your at or move to Montana or Oregon! Carl
  7. Great looking coach you have, also thank you for some fine photos! We where there in Lot C 1, 5th and 6th st. Loved every day, dust and all. I applaud everyone of the volunteers, especially Steve and his Army, I can't see how anyone could possibly improve upon what you had to work with...2,600+ coaches! You can't fix Mother Nature and when it came to parking that many coaches, I found no flaw anywhere! I sent a mail to Jon Walker this am, saying the same as above! Thank you so very much for an outstanding job! Carl
  8. Joe. Now you tell me! In July of 2014, I replaced my 2 steer tires, 295's with 315's and in August 2014, all 6 others with new 295's...my ride is great and I only have 19,000+ miles on the 295's and 21,767 on the steer tires!

dk. How does your coach behave in cross winds, 25+mph? Carl
  10. Blake. Your right, you did not forget...Sorry, my bad ! Brett. Looks like I'm in TIME OUT...not you! Sharon. If you do find out your batteries are cooked. May I suggest replacing with AGM's, yes they do cost more, but last longer and you don't have to worry about over charging. Carl
  11. Bill. Yes, Blake only uses his left hand to hook up at home, where ever that is at the time!

Bill, that's cold. Roland, when I look at coaches you might be interested in...I first think of your sons needs, secondly what you started this post with, steady ride! Carl
  13. What cool mountains? CA. Does have some nice ones, I lived in Malibu and Santa Monica for 8 years, 1953 to 61. Big Bear and Mammoth for skiing. Hiked from Sequoia to Mt. Whitney (Boy Scout). spent 10 days in 2014, N. CA mountains. Carl
  14. Dennis, please forgive Blake, he's feeling about a campground is equal to the availability of a cold beer! Carl
  15. marina53. Welcome! Have you checked your batteries with a volt meter?
  16. Bill. Finally...glad to hear it all worked out for you! It's hard to believe that a retired General had no empathy for his dead wife, your mother! God bless her soul. May she rest in eternal peace! Thank you all for your service and dedication to our country Carl
  17. Joe. Mine cycles and I have side vents 3 inches of the tile floor. I have also, heated tile. The AH is 3 zone, inside and bay! The coldest outside temp that I have had, was 14 and I set my inside temp at 74, no problem at all. My day/night shades was all down in front. I'm currently at 7,000+ feet and got it on at 72 degrees! It's 5:10am and 35 outside! Carl

  19. Good looking coach! Got wine? Don't think your in NYC anymore! Hope you become a member of the Diesel Club, you'll learn all there is to know about the care and feeding of your beast ! Safe travel and happy trails Carl
  20. Sharon. Welcome! I think Brett pretty much, covered all the bases. Does your Solar panel work when your hooked up to shore power? Blake. You forgot about Brett ! Carl
  21. Sounds like a Thor screw up to me! They just looking for a excuse not to re insulate...lots of bucks for that. I agree with Kay totally! Pop just need to take it one step further! I don't have or need any "after market" thermal sheets...if the thermostat is in the wrong location, tell Thor to move it and fix the Heat/AC problem. Carl
  22. I forgot about that one...been there with a Shriner group of 54, that was 2011. There is also, Canton RV park, TX. Carl
