  1. I would suspect that if the ECM goes, so does the fuse? Or not.
  2. Blake. It's about time you joined the real world...somewhere I must have missed the pic's of your new Ernnie floor? Yes, I do carry gallon buckets of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla on freezer and 3 bottles of red wine in fridge, along with Apple Jack and Bud light. Plenty off room for food, 23.9 cu. ft. Carl
  3. Rain guard? That would be a Winnebago part, call their Tech Department with your VIN # and FIN # handy. I had it on a 2007 Tour 40, don't know if Bounder has it. Carl
  4. Plastic to Brass, not a good seal. I have a on/off brass ball valve in my outside water line, it's FLEX and uses a special tool to crimp a metal band over the FLEX line that the brass in out fitting is inserted. That's 50psi in line. Carl
  5. Phil. Welcome! Interesting question. I would call the Hotel your staying in and ask them. They might have a shuttle or at least be able to tell you about any other form of Transport to Chandler area, since it is a year around major tourist attraction! You have to have a Day Pass to get on Rally grounds, how about just renting a car, away from Airport (it's cheaper)? Carl
  6. gaylemarlowe. It happens. Problem the OP has also is he can't fill his fresh tank from faucet. You do have a valid point, especially on a reel hose! Carl
  7. PPL is a good outfit. Have bought a coach there, back in 2002, a 97' Allegro, 30' gas. Kept it 16 month's, then got a Soutwind 32' gas...loved it, problem was that I started hauling toy trailer for El Mina Shrine to parades, didn't work out well. Got a 07' Tour 40 foot DP and put 56,000 miles on it in 5 years. Had an Allegro Bus 2011, POS! Got current coach in 2013. There is another site out there, Prevost-Stuff, look under other luxury coaches...you'll see a lot of 42-45 foot Allegro bus's for sale, also Newmar, all DP's! If your next coach is a Tiffin, go with Phaeton...biggest bang for the money! Same with Newmar Ventana! Good Luck and safe travels! Carl
  8. Don't think we will be back to Pomona any time soon, or at least I hope not...they have become way to expensive and we both know why! Not much I can do about RVillage and I'm not a happy camper! I had heard about the clothing line. I'm certainly glad that we now have all this $$$ to throw around...we didn't have it in 2014, so something must be working! I know you have been around and rather high on the pecking order. I have held to many offices in my time and do not wish to fight Politics any more, therefore I'm quite happy to stay as a little old National Director, from a Chapter that don't demand much and most of them know more about what's going on than I do! All of which begs the question: What will happen after July 12? If your in Chandler, look me up! Carl
  9. We are now back on original post...the other one was deleted.
  10. Agree with that...REV is not easy to nail down a cooperative Tech. Cummins maybe? Who else has your chassis...CC? They may give you a better idea, if REV don't !
  11. Brett. Will defiantly miss you. But I totally understand. The Ocean and Islands is a 180 degrees from RV'g... why I'm still looking for another 42 foot cat. BVI is my favorite, especially Antiqua ! Used to be Caymans...still have 2 condos there, on vacation rental program in the yacht basin. Getting time to sell. You keeping house? I'm not. Carl
  12. Joe. How old is the thermostat ? Original?
  13. Yes. I volunteer, because I have the time and enjoy meeting people! I'm a volunteer for Lions International, Elks and Shriners International as a member of all. Why do I do this Bill? Because I care! Have the time and the money! By the way, money is not a bad word ! Carl
  14. BillA. Good catch, my bad. I did not see the tent part, just who was going...your right that does make a big difference, even before they get to West Coast and back! July and August is hard to get a reservation out there! Carl
  15. BillA. I think that's the big one I was thinking about. Been 5 years since I last went I-25N that far! Carl
  16. Vince, if your tires are 6 years old or older, don't go by tread wear (they will look good and they probably are good). Look real close at your sidewall on all tires, any cracks at all, buy new ones! You have a lot riding on them, like you and your DW's safety and life...other peoples safety also. This is not a warranty issue, it's just a natural occurrence in all tires from UV light. If you want them to last as long as possible, then get tire covers and put them on every time your parked for more that a day! Michelin is not going to pay you, your not driving a car...your covered in the same manner as a OTR truck is (Over the road)! Look at your DOT number on your tires, post it here please. Carl
  17. Brett, speaking of boats, I know you'll be in AZ. But when will you sail the ocean blue again? Carl
  18. Cauffield. With a five digit F number, you have seen the good, bad and the ugly! They stopped making good, solid, "cookie cutter" Motorhomes, a long time ago! I'm on my second F#, the first was four digit, wife kept her name when we got married. Now I have a 6 digit and travel alone in my coach and my girl friend in her DP. I'm in my 17th coach since 1967! The one thing I never got, was a extended service contract, just put the $$$ in a separate account, on everything I have bought over the last 50 years! In the 32 years, that I have been retired, I have learned things from friends in different industry's. All Insurance Companies are betting (and they have the statistics to prove it) that they will pay out far less, than you pay in! You don't say what model, chassis or engine your Newmar is..Oh, your dealer makes a good % of any extended insurance and insurance they sell you! Also, the protective coating is a 3M product and they have their own warranty! Carl
  19. WBill, you too? We all have had another life! Ask Joe.
  20. Kay, is correct. Your rear end can take out a car next to you, when making a right turn in town...you need to pull forward more than you do now! Same in a camp ground, right and left turns need to be wider, than what you are used to and even more so with a toad. A 42' is actually a 43', that's just 2' shy of mine. With a toad, you'll be 62'+ long.. The ride of a DP with or without a tag, is night and day, over your current coach!
  21. dons2346. Nice thought, but we, FMCA do make $$$ on Conventions, dues and merchandise, like logo shirt, jackets, hat's, etc. Since FMCA don't get grant money, how do you think we are able to pay salary's to all the FMCA employee's...they volunteer? Not ! When you use the FMCA RV Park at Headquarters, you pay, it's not free and we have a very large building to maintain, pay taxes, etc. I see the P & L, every year! Carl
  22. Ian. I fully agree. Just trying to answer the OP. Even Alaska, you can cross the Hwy in a ATV or UTV, but you can't roll down the road. That's what trailers are for! Carl
  23. WBill another great choice for a "Resort"! I have stayed in Mountaindale and it's a nice place...there's another, large RV park, right side of I-25 just before the first Exit...also a nice place! All Big Rig friendly! Carl
  24. kenlea98. Welcome to the Forum! Couple of questions. Is it a Cummins 450? Chassis? What part of the Country is the coach located? When it comes to a DP, mileage only matter if it's too low. Diesel engines don't like to sit around. The location of the coach is of importance, due to salting of the roads in winter. I would have an independent licensed technician look over the coach, before putting out $189K. Have you checked the DOT number on all 8 tires? It will tell you when they came out. The Tour is 2013 build date, but what about the chassis? Tires should be changed out every 6-8 years (ck for cracks on sidewall of each tire). What options are on the coach? Are you buying this coach via a Dealer and do they want your current coach + $189K ? If so, your paying too much in my humble opinion...NADARV will tell you, high and low retail on yours and theirs and they will offer you whole sale on yours! Check interior for any kind of spot's, could be water damage, look for delamination or soft spots. Open all bays and look for rust (brown spots)! Good luck. Carl
  25. There's always the Greenbrier!
