  1. To you all, who have trouble, staying on OP subject, for very long and the new OP's and members, who might be confused by this phenomenon... May you all have a Happy Holiday Weekend, with family and friends! Carl
  2. If only my coach was worth keeping...great work, Erniee! Carl
  3. Joe. You have forgotten the excessive HD Propane tank and that the buyer took the coach to Alaska! Carl
  4. Or my 2013 Jeep Wrangler...don't get an 09 Wrangler, it fit's! Herman, how close to 80? Are we having a "Blow Out" party? Carl
  5. Byron. I guess they still do. At the time I changed out my starter batteries, I was in Eugene, OR. The best deal was Interstate and no Sam's within 300 miles. That was August 20014 and they have served me well. Carl
  6. Hooking up takes me about 5 minutes, down, half that, don't see how I can do it any faster...but I guess that's too inconvenient for you. pulling a fuse? Carl
  7. I read it. Should be named "Mountain driving for Dummies"! Been on most of the roads listed, in car, truck and Class A DP's...why anyone would take a RV over passes that OTR's are not allowed on is insane! I felt he was talking about gassers not DP's, I've been on I-84 over Cabbage pass and Pendleton, OR. many times and no problem! I-70, I-15 same. You want the trill of your life, take the Oatman road out of Kingman, AZ or Hwy, 82 east or west over Cloudtop, NM. or the Banjo Hwy. from Galex, WV to NC. (accidental)! The grangdaddy off them all, has got to be "Dragon Tail" in TENN. Illegal for RV's and OTR trucks, but that don't mean it does not happen...seen it, one down, other up and stuck in a corner, took 2 weeks to separate them! 312 curves in 11 miles... I learned a long time ago, that there are many places East, West and in-between, you leave the coach in a park and use the toad for sightseeing...that's why I have it! Carl
  8. ndrotning. Welcome to the Forum! Go to top of this page, under search in top right corner, type in...valve stem extenders. We covered this topic extensively in 2013, with pictures! Good luck and happy holiday. Carl
  9. Bill. Byron and Betty, know CO inside and backwards, that is their favorite State to visit...that's why they would have to go there on the way home..nostalgia! Carl
  10. Then again all you have to do, is put in a disconnect switch...something everybody did in 1980 and 90!
  11. deenad. Deepest condolence on the RIP!
  12. USAJC. Welcome to the Forum! Do you have one? If so, what does it say in the owners manual? If you don't and want one, Google Remco. Are you a FMCA member? If so, have you checked the 2016 FMCA Towing guide? If not a member, join us, we have a lot to offer besides just a Forum! If you are a member then go to FMCA.com, sign in and look at the 2016 Towing Guide. Carl
  13. I tried to get a figure on adding one to my 2007 Tour, in 2008 dollars, it was $16,000 and I would lose a whole pass thru bay! No! I have Aqua Hot in house also, runs on natural gas, also a smaller back up one that runs off Propane! We get Hurricanes! Carl
  14. Erniee, Blake...Looking great and I like the light, dark of the wood. I also was surprised, when I saw the OSB and not Marine grade! Looks like Monaco, like the other cookie cutters, cut cost by going on the cheap! Monaco knew they was having a financial problem in 2005, by 2006 they was hurting bad and then went belly up around 2007! Carl
  15. Goldstar. Welcome to the Forum! I'm sorry about the problems your having. 2 things, have your atty send a letter to the Insurance Co. Legal Dept. Also, call back FMCA, like other places that get a lot of calls, I have been lost on hold many times and I call again and get connected. Hope you get it resolved soon! FMCA is open thru Thanksgiving, but closed Fri, Sat and Sun. Happy Thanksgiving Carl
  16. Found it: https://community.fmca.com/topic/9408-paint-problems/#comment-65295 Carl
  17. Bill. Aqua, is water in Spanish....Hot, self explanatory!
  18. If I remember to remove it, I throw it in the wash...they belonged to my mother, so they don't fit on my foot...no mistake made! Carl
  19. No, it was after you removed the 3M Diamond shield and you wanted to paint the front due to all the chips!
  20. From Tampa, straight north on I-75 to Atlanta! Carl
  21. Joe, The coach next to me in the Park this weekend, had an interesting experience on the way here. His toads, driver side was bashed in and so was the coach and tow bar, a "no speak English", saw the toad and decided that he could get a drag of coach, by cutting in front of the car that had the spot he wanted! Both the police officer and Bob were fluent in Spanish...the driver had no insurance! Carl
  22. What is this, a traveling sock? I believe that Snow act's like a blanket and will help to insulate against heat loss! Joe, I do agree that Aqua Hot is moister, along with my other current problem, is that I have about 30 gal. left in tank...I will make a fuel station in Weimar, TX. very happy! Herman. Happy Thanksgiving to you, also! Carl
  23. If we ever hear back from Bill Edwards, he will tell you that it also depends on which type of clear coat you put on, as to how many coats you need...he's got a post on here with Joe, in regards to that..
  24. When I originally got into coaches, there was only one way to check tires, baseball bat and thump. Every time we stopped and before leaving in the mornings, rain, shine or snow, I would thump. I have TPMS and have had them on the last 5 coaches, but I still carry a bat and thump! Carl
