Ray. Just read this trip from beginning. Your on quite a trip! Happy belated 2017. Don't know where your at now, but there is a Cummins Coach Care in Houston, TX. take Loop 610N from I-10W to exit 23A and it will be on right side about a mile from Exit. Phone number 1-713-679-7722 direct to Service Dept. I left there yesterday. The other one in San Antonio is also a good shop. Wayne, Hi. Your being home is like me! I have given up with the idea of telling some one to stop by...are you going to AZ? I'm on the road now for 2 Rally's this month and one next month in Texas, then will be leaving the State the 23rd. got the Diesel Club Pre rally the 26th first. Carl

Keon. Hate to burst your bubble, but you will run into the same thing in Florida! Every State has a DOT and they randomly will pull over all Commercial and non Commercial vehicles. It's not just weight that their looking for! Try thinking, illegal goods, people smuggling, bald tires, EPA violations, etc. I don't look at it as entrapment, unless you got something to hide! Your coming across as a little Paranoid on this subject. Herman...Lol Carl

I carry 150 gallons...no I have never even thought about using any fuel out off the 10...300 gallon bladders at the ranch! I don't have STUPID on my forehead.
-
A gallon? I would think the fumes alone would burn the airways! I think the most I have ever used is a cup for a house drain and then used a plunger! Breathing mask, safety glasses and rubber gloves is a must have!
-
I don't want to go 6' under!
-
Joe. Unless he is blessed with 3 women, like you! Anything that wants to slither or crawl up there, don't stand a chance! Non the less, good info! Carl

Keon. How did the Jeep Wrangler get into this link. I see no mention of it? Brenda. Get a battery disconnect switch or remove the ground when towing. Carl

As Bill said...cheaper! No brainer, he knew. As for DOT, I have been in their "Spot Check" line for tires, several times on I-10 in Texas....glad they do it. If they wanted to check my diesel, have at it. I'm only surprised it never happened to me, when it was $4.85 a gallon or more! Kay. Carl

When I had my dog, 15 years, I always took her in toad with me. I golf a lot and found out that most golf courses don't mind if your pet rides in the cart and is well trained...also pick up the #2 if it happens...I was turned down twice and didn't play those days. Lucky could not go on a cruise with me, but she went every where else...she had 289,000 air miles when she passed, R.I.P. I would not leave a child in a RV, why leave a pet? Carl

Vizio is the biggest bang for the buck. Got 3 at home, Christmas present to myself, the living room one is a 70" and I love it. They replaced 3 B&O's, that will be installed in a coach. If you don't have any obstructions in the celling, you could get a celling mounted TV, electric motor driven up/down! Good Luck Carl

Nice looking rig. Ian, they are Escapees, Livingston, Texas. I suspect that toad is now also registered in Texas...then again, I don't know Canadian Laws! Carl

If you are shorter than 6 foot 4 inches tall, I would get a Foretravel! It's in your size range and wallet. I would have had one a long time ago, had it not been for the interior height restriction! I was over 6' 9" then, still 6' 7+" now! Carl

Only time, I have had an 8, was a dead cell and battery was toast...stand corrected, it was 8.7, but still toast. Even if it reads 13.3 inside you need to check the battery with a voltmeter and look at each cell for fluid level, if you have acid batteries. Carl

Flush out the Drano from your system and holding tank ASAP! Then do as Bill suggests. Carl

Sorry about your loss! Thanks for the info. it's a reminder to all of us! Carl

Or my 2013 Jeep Wrangler...don't get an 09 Wrangler, it fit's! Herman, how close to 80? Are we having a "Blow Out" party? Carl -
Byron. I guess they still do. At the time I changed out my starter batteries, I was in Eugene, OR. The best deal was Interstate and no Sam's within 300 miles. That was August 20014 and they have served me well. Carl

Hooking up takes me about 5 minutes, down, half that, don't see how I can do it any faster...but I guess that's too inconvenient for you. pulling a fuse? Carl -
I read it. Should be named "Mountain driving for Dummies"! Been on most of the roads listed, in car, truck and Class A DP's...why anyone would take a RV over passes that OTR's are not allowed on is insane! I felt he was talking about gassers not DP's, I've been on I-84 over Cabbage pass and Pendleton, OR. many times and no problem! I-70, I-15 same. You want the trill of your life, take the Oatman road out of Kingman, AZ or Hwy, 82 east or west over Cloudtop, NM. or the Banjo Hwy. from Galex, WV to NC. (accidental)! The grangdaddy off them all, has got to be "Dragon Tail" in TENN. Illegal for RV's and OTR trucks, but that don't mean it does not happen...seen it, one down, other up and stuck in a corner, took 2 weeks to separate them! 312 curves in 11 miles... I learned a long time ago, that there are many places East, West and in-between, you leave the coach in a park and use the toad for sightseeing...that's why I have it! Carl
