Dingy Towing a 2016 Suburu Forrester
manholt replied to afrede's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Invisibrake is what I used, until I changed over to M&G. A jeep has a tendency to get wet, when used as built, so I had to enclose mine in a water/dust tight container ! Current setup works better for my needs! -
Ray. Where are you at? San Antonio? You did not stay at 65mph!

tie. What made you decide on a Brake Buddy? Not, that there is anything wrong with them, just curious. Carl -
RSBill. His fresh water tank is a lot bigger than ours, they do that in a Prevost... Actually, everything is bigger! Carl

jb. Welcome! Sounds like Jim and Kay nailed it. Normal air is 0 to 150! Brake will set if below 75 on mine, also the alarm for low air will get your attention! On another coach, I had a separation on the LR air bag and a crack in the air line going to my gauge in dash....it did the same as you described, but it didn't go to 0 while driving, it did fluctuate between 85 and about 105 as long as it was in gear. At idle it would drop below 75...so to keep going, at a signal, I would have to give some gas, in gear with my foot on brake! Thankfully I was 120 miles North of Red Bay, when it happened. Carl

BillE. Are you in AZ. or home? If AZ. will you be at Chandler for FMCA rally? Carl

mspector1. Welcome to the Forum! Where do you live? Where is the Dealer? Carl

Did you find a place? Carl -
Since I have never had a MAC engine, do they run on Rotella T-6 also? Probably a dumb question. Carl

tietbohl1. Welcome to the Forum! Suggest you disconnect the ground from car battery or get a disconnect installed. That would prevent battery from running down during tow. Carl -
HGRACE. Welcome to the Forum! Call Fleetwood Tech. Dept. and ask them! I have seen Fleetwood Dealers on Hwy 14 and though it might be longer for you, it's a lot easier than going thru LA. There is probably a dealer around Thousand Oaks or Oxnard also. You didn't say in what area of San Fernando your at, it's a big valley! Carl

Ray. Did you talk to Cummins about your generator? Keep the rubber on the road & have a safe trip! WBill. That trip, it's not the distance...it's the lousy I-10 in LA. and East TX. I would go with 12 hours + getting in to CG! He will not be going thru Houston...just to Beltway 8 ! Carl

ztrain. I use Slick Mist by Lucas, it's a wax/cleaner and finishing product, used on paint and clear coat. Your coach is painted...no plastic! Either call Tiffin Tech Dept or any RV body repair shop and ask them. Carl

Michael. I don't get mad. I could have answered a little differently. Thanks for the invite, I have no clue yet, as to where I'll be prior to Six State! I have a female friend and we travel together now on most occasions. We are both at a Escapee rally now...she has a 40' DP! In October, we will be coming back to TX. from Colorado! She'll travel up there with friends 1st of July, I have to be in Indiana for FMCA the 10th of July (National Director). If your going to Chandler, AZ. We'll be there on 50A. Carl C.

I generally like to keep it around 350+/-, but have on many occasions kicked it up to 550/600 ...longest was 753 miles, from Seattle, WA to Pendleton, OR. and then to Rock Springs, WY...2012. Thankfully I had a week in Rock Springs...don't want to do that again! Carl

Joe, I had 295 Michelin (8), now I have 315 on front. No new rim. Got about 18,000 miles on them since August 2014. Carl

Thank you, Bill. Good Luck! Carl

Where did you get that set up from? If you don't mind me asking. Carl
