Quick Overnnight Stops: I-40 OKC To Nashville
manholt replied to wesgiv's question in Destinations/Attractions
Herman, I seem to have a lingering bad taste in my mouth, in ref to Shawnee Expo Center! Casino must be losing money, $50 is way over any other Indian Casino RV Resort, I have stayed at...there are some real fancy ones out there, like Red Hat at Coshatta. LA. or Seven Feathers in OR.! Back to the KOA, off I-40, nice park Carl -

Subaru Outback - Subaru Doesn't Recommend Flat Tow?
manholt replied to PinkArnold's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
To all of you Newbie's. Welcome to the Forum! Thanks to all for your input. I think the question has been satisfactory and now it can be put to rest...I know it won't be, but there is hope! Carl -
Thanks for the reminder, forgot that Mary Moody Northern Foundation sold both the Hotel in S.A. and across the street from POTUS! Have stayed in both, many times! Last time I stayed in SA, we flew in (12, private plane) and spent a week at the Omni, second week in December, with all the lights on...WOW. It's to late, I have to be in Lajitas Wed. 4 hour drive by coach with no traffic from Fort Stockton!

Slide out Awning Removal For Seal Replacement
manholt replied to MOHOMER729's topic in Type A motorhomes
F402472. Welcome to the Forum! WOW ! Did you use to build coaches? All the slide toppers, I have been around, are spring loaded and pretty tight, how did you get around that issue by yourself? I have never seen one person pull a slide all the way out...you related to Superman? Carl -
Quick Overnnight Stops: I-40 OKC To Nashville
manholt replied to wesgiv's question in Destinations/Attractions
Have been there a couple of times, like it when I get paid for parking overnight ! The only other place I have found that do have space for my rig is KOA, just East of OK. City. I don't know Loretta Lynn, so I guess I won't go there anytime soon... -
It's 74 and 37% humidity in my bay...I'm just running my fans with windows open! Smelled a little Funky for a couple of hours. but good now...

Bill, being stuck living in a paint bay for 4 days, puts a whole lot of thoughts in once head...Like why did I not grab a Hotel room, with shower and TV and restaurant and the River walk, it's only one hour away! Duh.

Water Heater Pressure Relief Valve Popping
manholt replied to lylefikse's topic in Systems and Appliances
Lyle. do you happen to have a by pass valve for water heater? If you do, then just turn off the water and the heater and drain the tank...if you don't, then buy a two way valve at nearest hardware store...they come in real handy at times! Carl -
Byron. Another good reason to live in Texas...no winterizing required, I do use Sta bil Diesel. Sta bil gas for Jeep and MC. When I'm gone for more than a couple of weeks!
-
geneb. Welcome to the Forum! Don't see why not. Call Progressive, Allstate, Farmers, Allied, etc. You can also get them on line. What kind of coach is it? Eagle, MCI, Prevost? Carl

Brett. I'm on 50A, but I have to have gen set slide out to get at lights...I have 3" in front and 12" in rear of wiggle room. Yesterday, I had the shop folks open the front door so I could get the #'s...2 hrs later was clear coat time, so door came down...it's dark and lonely in here!

Camera Or Mirror For Front-End View Of RV
manholt replied to rkbcmoyer@aol.com's topic in Modifications
Kay. I would think that a camera would work on a class A...not mirror! We don't have front fenders for mounting. Having said that, if OP's depth perception is that bad, then OP can't judge proper distance in any direction and I don't want to be on the same Highway or RV park, with OP! Carl -
Brett. OK, you can hit me with a wet noddle! Sometimes I overthink myself....Thank You, will do that tomorrow...Don't want to start engine in a Paint Bay with closed doors, same reason my Aqua Hot is on elect. makes for a very short shower! Carl

FIVE, Only mistake I did at Superior Tire in OR. 8/14, should have put 305's on tag and drive, instead off 295's, I have 315's in front.. Carl

Joe. You trying to make your coach look like my Jeep? My fog lights on coach are round, just like the other 6. Herman. I'm calling AC Tech in the morning...I don't know what make of car or truck I have, would have been easier had that info been in my manual.. Ray. I saw those yesterday, too small for my holes and mine are single... one for low beam, one for high beam. Where you have 2 lights on bottom, is where my fogs are, just a foot closer to each other. Byron, call Tiffin Tech and ask them if a 2011 will fit...if it does, that's one complaint I did not have about my bus!

Bill, well said. I would also add, send a PM to Bill Adams, he also is a full timer and has lots of experience. I guess the biggest question is age and do you own your house or are you renting? Then, do you plan to work or are you retired? As for a coach? You have said nothing about what your looking at or for, new or used...run across too many over the years, that I have presumed was looking for a used cookie cuter and then been told, no we want a Custom Coach. Works in reverse also! Good luck Carl
-
Pchuckie. Since the OP has not responded at all, perhaps he found a group. You can send him a PM and tell him about your chapter or inquire as to what he's doing?! Carl

Herman. The first thing I did was to check for Legal height on low/high beam. High lights up the neighborhood...low. had no effect on the cats in the barn, fog lights caused the cats to go elsewhere. I try to be parked by 4pm, 5 latest, but there are occasions that takes it out to midnight and I want to see the reflection of eyeballs, before I hit whatever belongs to the balls! At the same time, I don't want to blind on coming traffic... There is no cover that can fade or go opaque over my lights...good old fashion, thick glass. They are Hella's, according to the 28 year old girl that does all the body work and painting here, she is a genius! Also a carpenter... Carl
