  1. Mine went out fine, I have been here for body work since the 3rd. It was the problem, Just a little torque on the body is all it takes. As I said, just a thought. Carl
  2. clifffeno. Welcome to the Forum! Since you have a CAT I expect this is a used coach. Would you please let us know what you have? I agree with your thoughts and $6,100+ is a lot of money....How much is the fuel pump with labor, less $500? Some believe in extended service plan, some don't. I'm a don't ! I'm guessing 20% of what you paid, went to Lazydays. Extended Service, Insurance Co,. they all go by statistics...in your case, they are betting that in 4 years, they will have spent 30% to 50% of what you spent. Your not the first "Cornerstone" complaint on this Forum. Carl
  3. Herman. You need coffee or more wine. Who, in a Coach, goes to Alaska this time of year? Carl
  4. Eddie. Here's a thought. When I got back to my coach this afternoon, it was in the paint bay as I was told when I left, it would be...the tech informed me that they could not get my drivers side slide in (I have 4), batteries, wiring, switches, fluid, everything checked out. Then one remembered about re setting zero on my leveling system...they did and slide came in/out/in. Point is, is your coach level? Carl
  5. Thank you for the information. It's always nice to have an alternative to Atlanta Cummins. I have used the Cummins Coach Care in Atlanta before and they do have some really good tech's, but the Labor rate is high! Carl
  6. Bill, good one! I never buy water in bottles! I'll look into that filtration system, need new filter by years end. Thanks Carl
  7. Herman. That is a real good reason to use tape and mark the wires as you remove them, or now with smart phones, take a close up photo! My batteries are all tagd by the factory, but when the nice young man came to replace my 8 batteries, he took several photos and by using them, had no problems in the re connect...lesson learned. If in doubt use the iPhone. Slide problem or Jacks, seems to always be a switch issue, low batteries or fluid issue! That's been my experience... Having a air leveling issue now, no leak, it's out off zero, so it shows that I have a Twist...on a level cement floor! Tech will take care of it while I'm hitting a small ball today! Anger management.. Carl
  8. epstep. I will clarify, since most of us are not Lawyers, BF is owned by Michelin and manufactured by Michelin, they both are essentially the same and can be used for the same application. You pay a premium for Michelin, because of Brand recognition...like TV commercials, when was the last time you saw a commercial of BF? Or most any other brand? No, I don't think their stamped on same line...Michelin is made over a 3 month period, once a year...wonder what they do the other 9 months? Carl
  9. Tom. Has this issue been resolved yet? Also, how did you resolve the issue in the "Campground"? Carl
  10. I don't now and newer had a need for water softener or RO. Sorry! Roland. I get mine at Home Depot or True Value hardware. I suspect Wall Mart, Lowe's, Ace and Sears also carry it. I use a pressure gauge at the city/park faucet, then a inline filter and a charcoal filter for both park and fresh water tank, I have a by pass Brita filter on my faucet in kitchen! I did put a by pass valve in for my water bay filter...for when I flush out my whole water system. Just remove the in line filter at faucet before you flush out hose...they also get nasty after a year, or less! Carl
  11. Bill, the reason, I suggested Hwy 173 and 16 in Bandera, is due to construction in Boerne at the off ramps and service roads of I-10. It's also, 2 lane road, not curvy and 20 miles shorter. I'll be leaving here either Sat. or Monday early for Maverick RV Park and Resort in Lajitas, TX. What RV park are you in?
  12. Joshua. Surging gas engine? Sounds to me that it's starved for gas...change the fuel filter and check for any restrictions in fuel line also leaks. Voltage on batteries, 12.5. You also, should have a Converter in coach, mine was a 55A and hidden under sink...on a 1997 Allegro 30' gasser, 30A. Carl
  13. Mike. My only concern about XtraRide is being overwhelmed by solicitation for their other Services ( Umbrella Company is a Life insurance Co., traded on the Tokyo, Japan Exchange). If it works for you, good...I however do not hand over personal information to an Off Shore Company, that has Half a Trillion US$ in assets (as of 2013 it was US$ 418 +/- Billion, based on the Yen at Y120...today it's Y117) . Thanks for the info link. Carl
  14. LLC's = you got a business. It does not mean that your business crosses State lines or is sold at RV showes/Rallies, it does not have anything to do with your RV! You are on vacation...problem comes into play, with drivers license, voter registration, residence, in other words...move to Montana or Oregon and then no more worries! As Tom noted, we went around on this subject a bunch in 2014 & 15! Enough said Carl
  15. WOW...can of worms! 16 year old, raised in the country on a ranch or farm...yea, I'd ride! City kid? No way! Carl
  16. The only thing I can pass on. Yes you can drive a coach to Panama City, there you will have to take the Ferry to Peru. Most folks think the Pan Am goes un interrupted to the tip of Chili...wrong. South of Panama City, is a national park and what may have been a road at one time, is now overgrown Jungle. The park is only open during daylight...to dangerous from dusk to dawn...smugglers! I would be looking at a Earth Roamer RV. The normal "Cookie Cutter", RV's would not even make it to Costa Rica , much less Panama! The Pan Am is beautiful in pictures, only problem is that it does not go continuously as a paved road, into and through a main town yes, otherwise it is dirt, rutted, washed out. National Geographic has several articals on the Pan Am. Carl
  17. Wish you luck between now and Sunday! Same for any one you know and left behind in Florida, they're going to need it. I saw that on world google! Carl
  18. Bill is correct. I posted about that in 2014, found out after I got all 8 Michelin...would have saved me 30% ! On $4,400+/- that's a big difference! I got mine in OR. no sales tax!
  19. Larry. I'm at TCC now, have been for 10 days...another issue. They installed a 3 door refrigerator in a 2005 Dynasty 42' last week! Carl
  20. Winnebago, unless they changed it since 07, puts it in the back closet. My 400/Allison 3000 was good for 10K and had the hitch for it. Carl
  21. We had a Post on this same problem around 18 months ago, in this section...I just tried but could not find it. I think it had to do with soot build up...
  22. David. If it's driver side, then check for a lose connection or fitting on your HWH, Passenger side is electric...low batteries, ground wire, obstruction. When was your system last serviced? If you need help, then call Texas Custom Coach in Pipe Creek...it's 31 miles from Kerrville, down Hwy 173 to Bandera, then 9 miles down Hwy. 16 on right side...I'm here! They are werry good and not expensive! What are you doing in Kerrville? Carl
  23. Ron. It may be under the step! Don't ask why Carl
  24. fagnaml. The only time I have your problem is on Hwy. 35, going from I-10 to south of Kaplan, La. and I-10 between Lafayette, La. and the Henderson Bayou! For those trips, 4 times a year, I use adjustable "double" curtain rods inside my cabinets. I get mine at Wall Mart. Luck Carl
  25. Hi, Stephen. Hope that Big Mike was able to help, along with the other posts! God Bless you Carl
