    Wheel Bearings

Brett. After walk around and sniff test, all seems to be OK. Don't have any records from original owners, so for peace of mind, I will have the grease replaced in Amarillo on my way to Indiana! The same applies to adjustment of bearings. Not just the front, also steering axle and tag. As always, thanks for the info. Carl
  2. Herman. How will your arms feel tomorrow? I don't want to find out that I can only do 64! LOL
  3. Be nice to have one USA and one Texas! We have a thing about the "Lone Star State"....
  4. I use the freezer...marked beef, chicken and pork, with bad date! Your ice box is good for about 1,800 degrees F. Wrap in foil and place in Zip lock! Carl
  5. Andy. 07' was the beginning of the end! Beaver, dropped off the map in 09', along with Country Coach! CC tried to buy Beaver in 07' but lost to Safari and Safari moved Beaver from Bend, OR. I might add that Beaver filed for Chapter 11 in 07'! Don't be too harsh on the few tech's that were not laid off! Carl
  6. Little or a lot, your welcome. Next rally will be at Carolina Crossroads RV Park, Roanoke Rapids, NC. 9/19 to 9/25. Carl

Thanks Brett. Will check in morning and let you know! Carl
  8. Got the same system. Turned out to be a blown fuse. The wrong size fuse was installed, it's 15 amp for marine and 20 amp for RV. Changed to a 20 and no problems for a year now! I also dump at 3/4 full. Carl
  9. Miller, welcome to the Forum! You wrote that this is a major financial decision. What is the age off the tires? The service record will tell you what to expect to pay each year. MPG? Insurance?

Hi Brett. 12/09 Spartan with Reyco Granning independent front suspension. Oil. Carl
  11. OMG! Good reason to check on converter periodically....heading there now! Carl
  12. Welcome to FMCA and the Forum! If you want to mount one now, you can do as Herman said, use double stick tape. You can also drill 2 holes, one on each side (long way) off plate and mount on ladder with electric ties & order the bracket (2-4 week delivery). As Herman asked, have you joined a chapter yet? Great way to meet people with your interests! SWG stands for Swinging Golfers, web site via Google. Good luck and safe travels Carl

    Wheel Bearings

Good morning! Woke up wondering how often or at what mileage, should the bearings be checked, replaced or repacked? Carl
  14. Herman. What tech? CC closed their doors about 6 years ago! Couple of years ago, I read an article in FMCA magazine, about how the kids may come out with a CC in 2016....nothing since. Carl
  15. Are the tires original? When where they aligned? How does the sidewall's look, any cracking? Carl
  16. Is that bed by Innomax of Denver, CO.?
  17. Dave, welcome to FMCA and Forum! You mentioned Golf Cart, is that for tooling around CG or do you play golf? Swinging Golfers (SWG) is a chapter off FMCA and we have a web page that you can Goggle. One sure way to meet people, is to join one or more chapters and FMCA has hundreds of them, all over North America. If you go to FMCA main site and sign in, click on chapters. Good luck and enjoy all that we offer! Carl
  18. epstep. I have Blue Sky for MH. Everything else, is covered by USAA. Have you checked BS to see if they have a liability coverage for your lot? Allstate comes to mind also. There are Life Insurance Company's that also are into vehicle and property coverage. Goggle it! Carl
  19. Welcome to the Forum. You might consider renting some chains. Been over both roads, but not in May...July and August, and on both occasions, I ran into sleet and snow on some of the passes. Last year, after the Redmond, Oregon rally, I was in Salt Lake City in early September and decided not to take 80 East, good thing, 18 wheelers, RV's and car's was stuck for 24 hours due to snow and Ice! 84 and 80 are good roads, you just have to be aware of the weather in the Mountains! Carl
  20. popatop. Welcome! Cummins Coach Care, services a lot more than just engines and generator. I take mine in every 15,000 miles or 1 year, whatever comes first. As long as you keep the components serviced as recommended by the owners manual....you'll have no problems. Gremlins are everywhere, so take them as they come, especially on a new coach! Enjoy the ride Carl
  21. Sorry, I should have gone into more detail. I'll let the coffee kick in first, my computer is an hour ahead off me! Thank you, Brett and Rich. Carl
  22. 09bounder, welcome to the Forum. Do you have the same problem, when your on Generator? If not, then the relay switch needs replacing. Ref. brake/turn signal. Your coach is pre wired (normally) for towing, toad is not. Who did the tow installation? Carl
  23. Bennie, It would be useful if we knew what kind of coach and size of engine? Also, answer from the manufacturer! Carl
  24. The reason for not using sheets? They have wax in them & it clogs all filters in any washer/dryer. Info from a friend that own several laundry's. My washer/dryer in coach is Splendide Ariston stacked, no problems. Carl
