  1. When you need to be towed, the odds are that you won't have power! Therefore, one of your air valves has a female connector, it's for airing up your max ride height. That prevents bottom dragging when towed. Best case is to be on a flat bed! Carl
  2. Kay. Excellent article! Explanation makes sense. Also makes me wonder why, as Michelin suggests, we don't run extra wide singles? Would solve a lot of problems and make life in RV simpler! That's all I see on buses and trucks in Norway every year! No dually. Carl
  3. I gave up with mine 3 DP's ago. Use 2 cordless, 18 volt, Shark's. Gives me 30 minutes in coach and 15 minutes in toad. Happy, clean, camper! If I had a DW, suspect it would be different. Carl
  4. J. Hi! Story did not say how or why, but it rolled down a 200' easement. Not sure if I would just walk away, or claim it. If there is any chance of rolling one way or the other, put something in front of wheel and behind drive wheels! I use a 2' and a 4', 2"x12". Hi Insurance! Carl
  5. LOL. That is a terrific idea and a good job! Would have been nice with the dog. Now, hope the dog wants to do, what you want it to do! Carl
  6. I'll call AMC today. Was hoping to do the job over the weekend. I see that you are now a black and white cut out also! Thanks anyway Carl
  7. Trynforpar, Welcome back and Congratulations on your new wheels!. Bet your glad that's all over with! Now, does it run? LOL Carl
  8. You might have blown a fuse! Is the unit an Attwood or another brand? Some brands use a 9 volt battery. Attwood uses 12 volt with a fuse. Whatever brand it is, get a schematic or talk to a tech. Carl
  9. Hollyahill. I can relate to "bad knees"! I'm 6' 8" and it was a good model, until I rounded 60, 12 years ago! LOL. Tiffin has a lower class A and the Palazzo is also lower....there are a bunch of class C and B out there. You will loss a lot of storage space! However, they are easier to access. I put up with what I have, for several reason. I can stand up, plenty of storage inside and out, ride and I like it! Carl
  10. Wayne. Your lucky, that's not all you sideswiped! Have you talked to your Insurance? Is the damage such that you cant use the awning, or cosmetic? You might call Camping World and or Dealerships, people replace their awnings and they might have yours in a throw away pile. If yours is an 02' odds are to replace it. Do as Herman says first and go from there. Next time, take your half of the road into traffic...they will give you room, just like you do to a 18 wheeler. Dirty looks and a whole bunch off birds is a small price to pay! Carl
  11. Hi and welcome. Is your Bounder a DP or Gas? What is your wheel cut, 50 or 55 degrees? The Super C is 36' 2", that is not a smaller size. You just sit closer to the ground when driving. I'm a bit confused. Carl
  12. Lippert is a Division of Drew Industries and they have everything from Denver Mattress to axel. If they don't directly or indirectly manufacture it, I have not found it...since 1956! Bert. I agree, a lot of bling, but ageless....like a older model Bentley! LOL. Carl
  13. CD. Yes, you could do as Herman said, but he lives a lot closer than you do. My suggestion is go straight down Hwy. 271 to Tyler and there are 2 dealers there. They are just south of I-20. My recommendation would be Tyler RV, have used them before. If you call Thor Industries, they might have a schematic of the dryer lines on your chassis Carl.
  14. On my Tradition, there are 2 panels, one on each side of windshield. Each panel is held in place by a 1 1/2" to 2" bolt and each bolt is fitted with a washer nut combination that fits into a hole in the panel. Then the panel edge on top and one side slips under front cap and is held in place by silicone. My question is: Diameter or size of bolt. I need to buy a washer and self treading nut. Mine vibrated off and now my panel is held in place by Gorilla Tape! My rear view mirrors are mounted thru each panel. Carl
  15. Call or Google Atwood and get an electrical schematic for your unit....then do the same with Winnebago. You got to get both! Carl
  16. I knew, I remembered that name. Page, AZ. Do like I just did. Google it. Carl
  17. Where is Antelope Canyon?
  18. You have a 2011? What does your owners manual say? Since they make a base plate for it, then it's towable. Just depends on how? That's where the manual comes in! Carl
  19. So now, the Eagle is the coach of all coaches? Personally, just once in my life, while I'm still young, I would like to afford a high end coach, like Prevost, Liberty, Monarch or Newell...just to see if all the "hype" is for real ! Got to win lottery! I'm still working on downloading my picture to this forum... Carl
  20. Air tabs...in the old days, they had "Snake oil Salesmen" and apparently still do! LOL. They advertise that truckers use them, well I have never seen them yet! I'm on the road for about 14,000 miles a year, all over the US. You would think that I would see them, all the time...like UFO's!! My take on Air Tabs...there is a sucker born every 12 seconds, and to improve noticeable MPG on a box, is darn near impossible. Even Banks aren't advertising the old % anymore! Gear splitters, also have dropped any mention of % increase in mpg. Duh, wonder why? Carl

    Coolant Level Low

NO. Atlanta, GA. Cummins! I'm 35 miles away now! On my way to Swinging Golfers 30 Anniversary rally at Roanoke Rapids, NC. Got to be there the 19th. You have not changed your picture yet. Do you miss the Allegiance?
  22. That's sad to hear. Leave him alone, until after the funeral...he's got more to deal with, than some lousy tires! Carl
  23. Put it on yesterday, before leaving Memphis. No rough roads yet, probably in Atlanta, we'll see! Carl
  24. They will blink at you now! Probably say a few unkind words also....go out and turn on your high beam at night, then look at them...you'll still be seeing spots over coffee in am!
  25. Sure glad it didn't "threaten any wildlife"! WOW. That's not something you see every day. Tom. I agree! We used to have a lot of good rules of the road! Now, you got to assume that everyone has good sense...this dude, proved them wrong! Carl
