  1. I truly believe the outcome will be the based off of the person on the other end of the phone, not the provider that holds the contract.
  2. Funny, I just spoke to a friend tonight that broke down due to bad fuel. Coachnet called him a vendor to pump his bad fuel out, replace it and replaced both fuel filters on the side of the road (added 30 gallons of clean diesel) They paid the entire bill. You hear bad and good with almost every provider.
  3. Right side of the engine compartment is a junction plug, it’s right at the end of the frame rail where the coach build let ties into the chassis. Freighliner failed to use a weather tight connection they get wet inside and the fail. My guess is when you locate it it will not separate. Check the power coming into it, then out of it. Check there first, it’s not likely you had that many fuses open on three circuits at once.
  4. I am afraid to say posts like this are going to become more common. The automobile/truck and RV repair industry is suffering for skilled mechanics and technicians. Our local national training center is laying off staff and reducing space do to a lack of interest by today’s youth. I believe this is a result of preaching that everyone needs a college degree and terrible pay that all began in the late 80’s early 90’s. The average product coming out of those schools is less than par already. Their expectations are high and skills are low. They often don’t stay in that career long. The biggest problem, no attention to detail! Im betting this will get worse before it gets better. Being in this industry I see it every day, it’s a huge struggle.
  5. I tried to pull a hill in route to Raystown lake one year up in those neck of the woods. Didn't follow the truck route (followed our Rand McNally GPS) and ended up on a mountain road with switchbacks. It was so steep our C was in 1st gear, full throttle and wouldn't go over 10 mph. The switchbacks were so sharp I needed both lanes and shoulders to come around them. Needless to say I followed the truck route to the PA turnpike and went home that way. Scary experience back then, we laugh about it now.
  6. Yes, fair amount of stop lights but otherwise I see no issues. Make sure you follow truck routes through the mountains.
  7. Danandpam, here is a link to the system Kay mentioned above. We also run that system and love it. Works flawlessly! https://m-gengineering.com/
  8. I agree, attaching a credit card to the account to automatically hit the card would be ideal. I could see owner operators doing this, not company drivers.
  9. Correct, if it were linked to a Credit card that would be much easier.

Let us know how you make out.
  11. Joe, if you have ELC coolant (OAT) no need for the additives. That should be on the jug for the product you added.
  12. Bill, I have the same hose Ross has in the picture above (orange one). you mean that 90 degree elbow wasn’t enough?

I am pretty sure you have two oil pressure sensors. One for the gauge and one for the ECM. Call Cummins with your engine serial number. They can pinpoint where it’s located. I’d check the connections first, brief wire inspection for chaffing, if looks good change the sensor. I don’t remember them being expensive. 1-800-Cummins.
  14. Joe, I wouldn’t be so concerned about the color. If you added ELC on top of conventional coolant it could have some issues. I have seen and heard of sludge forming from a chemical reaction with certain brands when mixed. Either check your receipt or call them to find out what coolant was installed. I would pick up some test strips and check it. Add SCA’s accordingly before using the coach. If it was ELC the test strips will show that it is very low on SCA’s. Don’t panic ELC is not meant to be tested for SCA’s. If it we’re me I’d drain the entire system and replace all of it with ELC. I would only do this once I confirm what the repair shop Installed. It might be ELC already. You could pull a sample and send it out for testing to confirm everything. Check the web for Blackstone labs. I’d attach a link but I am on mobile with little internet at the moment. Does your coach have a coolant filter?
  15. A few things come to mind? is the alternator larger that is moved farther away? is the pilot larger or was you old one transferred over? is the belt routed properly? is this a New belt or you old.belt?
  16. No ants or uncles. 70 now NO humidity 5 mph breeze. Perfect day!
  17. Jim, good thing I fixed it on my own. Campground office still hasn’t called or sent anybody over.
  18. Jim, good point with the brush. I believe it’s for the reusable straw type. The ones attached to a adult sippy cup . Funny how you temporarily loose knowledge when you are half asleep and stressed.
  19. I’m outside setting up my smoker at the campground. Didn’t even turn it on yet and I hear an alarm. Walk over to my EMS and OPEN GROUND is displayed. I swap my EMS for the other one I carry and walk away. At this point I’m more concerned about getting the pork shoulder and rump roast on the smoker , however it’s an electric pellet smoker. Another alarm sounds “open ground”. Oh boy, not how I want to spend my morning. By now my DW is opening the door, letting me know the roof top ac units (were in fan only all night) keep turning on and off. Yes dear, I am working on it now. This early and no coffee yet my mind is not clear. Not thinking we have a generator and I could just turn it on and wait for the office to open. I grab my volt meter, check the outlet, all is good. Hmm, I peek in the outlet and I see it’s full of junk. So I grab my tools, clean it out, I carry a small straw cleaning brush (for cleaning plastic straws) with us so I clean the plug. All is well! Spider webs and grass were in the plug. That’s a first! It’s been 30-40 minutes now and no alarms yet.....
