  1. Probably a Polymer wax. I use to get that done every year.
  2. Herman, I want the gold out! The knob assembly looks pretty standard, its the water hose outlet that i'm worried about.
  3. Herman, the gold hose outlet and water control knob surround
  4. Interesting...I figured a clear coat like on the side walls would be best to keep the fiberglass protected especially one with a UV protectant. Ours is just fiberglass and the paint comes up 3-4" from the sides onto the flat surface, the center portion isn't painted, I get streaks down the sides, the Nyalic should stop all of that and keep it protected.
  5. Anyone know where to get replacement valve and water outlet? I cannot identify who made them.
  6. Dicor with Acrylic is for rubber roofs, mine is fiberglass, plus my clear coat is peeling in some spots facing upwards, i'm going to clean that up and coat over it with fresh Nyalic so it doesnt get worse.
  7. I'm covering the roof with Nyalic as soon as we catch a break from all the rain. At this rate I'm gonna need to build an Ark https://www.nyalic.com/
  8. You think they have brushed nickle also that would cover up the gold?
  9. I need to get rid of the gold...it’s everwhere!
  10. Brett, ours has two gaskets, the lower one has the water drains coming through it with Silicone sealing the tubes to the gasket and it appers to be glued to the upper which is a traditional 14”. Is that common?
  11. Bill, it’s tiny but packs one heck of a punch! And 12 VDC jus to power the circuits. Great for boondocking!
  12. Update, for kicks last night I showed in the coach at home to give this an actual test run. OMG was it hot! I had to run the faucet in the center (single knob design) just so I could stand it. DW should be happy now. One thing I hadn't thought about, there is no warm up time like the Aquahot. I will often shut our Aquahot off when we day trip along with the campsite water (just in case we spring a leak). Upon returning back I turn on the diesel and electric but you have to wait for it to warm up the 16 gallon boiler, not with this tankless unit. You literally flip the switch in the bathroom, turn on the faucet count to 10 and its piping hot. I also put on this shower head, https://oxygenics.com/products/bodyspa-adventure-rv/. That was a mistake! Its like showering with a pressure washer that hits you on a 2-3" circle. Got to find a suitable replacement with a rain soaking wide pattern. The one that came with the coach is worn out, the gold plating inside keeps coming loose and clogging it up, honestly its still better than that one in the link above.
  13. I finished up ours over the weekend. Not a bad project, the orbital buffer made it much easier along with the scaffold my neighbor carried over when he saw me on the ladder. Next onto the roof coating. Not sure if I will have time between now and NM.
  14. Carl, do you use the Marine version or the regular? I think I’m going to give this a try next time
  15. Interesting you mentioned that. I was always told not to use dish soap on a automotive finish. Hopefully bill e will chime in
  16. Herman thanks for that formula. I might give that a try for next time. I am 1/2 way to completion on our coach now using these two and an orbital buffer with a lambs wool bonnet and microfiber towels, no decals on our coach full body paint.
  17. Stepingout, can you snap a picture of the issue in question?
  18. Take a look at these to add or change your oil; https://www.westmarine.com/oil-change-pumps
  19. I agree with Brett, I-10 through there is very simple and everything is well marked. We ate lunch here once, http://www.nohsc.com/ I had the Shrimpzilla PoBoy, I have craved that sandwich ever since! Gumbo was great also! Dinner here one night was great also. http://www.kpauls.com/menus/ The problem with NO it would take you months to eat your way around the French Quarter. Must stop here for a Beignet, they melt in your mouth! Be prepared to stand in line. http://www.cafedumonde.com/
  20. Roland, i just looked at where Pontchartrain Landing is in relation to I-10 and followed street view. Its not a bad ride at all. Not sure why most reviews seem to complain about it. They do have a shuttle to take you downtown also. Our next time down I will probably book this place, I try and avoid parks without paved roads but I guess i'll make an exception, looks like crushed sea shells are the surface on the roads and sites.
  21. I have always stayed here; http://fqrv.com/ Its within walking distance to the French Quarter. If you go out after dark i'd drive. The resort is safe, not so sure once you leave it (gated). I have heard this place is nice; http://www.pontchartrainlanding.com/ But its tough to get to from what I have read. I might give it a try next year
  22. Bill, the Stella Mare one has a bar said another way...Look both ways before crossing kids
