  1. You might check the harness plugs. Make sure they are clean and if the prongs are split take a knife and widen it a little. Use dielectric grease on the connections, such a DC4 compound. You might try plugging the left camera into the right harness to see if it is the harness or the monitor switching.
  2. My home garage is 32x64, 2 story tall, with cement floor and I have 4 jack stands for the motorhome. When I'm on the road I carry a couple of pieces carpet to lay on. I roll them up and put them in the back of my pickup truck that I tow.
  3. Its possible to fix a plugged carb but in our business, Onan service with a level 3 tech, we found it was usually less costly to the customer to just replace the carb with a new one. There are some passages that are impossible to clear and the time spent quite often exceeded a new carb replacement.
  4. It depends on the "super glue". Some car and truck door hinges are glued on and not welded or bolted. I saw a door almost get ripped off and the hinges just bent, the glue held tight. I would, however replace the gauge.
  5. I have had a Moto Sat HD for 5 years and have enjoyed Directv in HD. Highly recommend it.
  6. I thought it was a clear coat sprayed on. I may be wrong but thats what I was told.
  7. If worst comes to worst you can strip the wheels and buff to a shine just like the older wheels were done. I have the older wheels with the buff shine and they last a year or two before I have to polish them again.
  8. You are correct, thats why there are different choices in the market place. I was just stating my observations.
  9. Probably use self leveling Dicor lap sealant.
  10. To get better than 6-8 mpg I would recommend getting into a diesel pusher. I have a 32 ft with a Cummins ISB 275 towing a 1/2 ton Silverado and get between 10 and 11 mpg. Not the fastest up a steep hill but I get there!
  11. Camping World has all the parts to hook up your grill.
  12. Every time I change a tire I install a new o-ring. The cost is about 50 cents.
  13. We use Kroger brand which have several local brand stores. Dillons, Smiths, and some others which slip my mind at the moment. Pricing is fair and they have discounts on fuel, depending on how much you spend on groceries.
  14. When treating the fuel with Stabil mix 1/2 to 1 oz per gallon and then drive vehicle a short distance to get the treated fuel throughout the fuel system
  15. I have not owned a fifth wheel but have traveled with folks that have. Some observations are: harder to park, harder to level, you have a big truck for your running around. mileage is less, when going down the road the wife cannot go to the bathroom, the mileage for the toad vs the big truck is 2 to 3 times better, if your in inclement you don't have to go outside to get going,
  16. When I recently stopped into the one last salvage yard I mentioned in an earlier post I found out that they sold all of the surplus parts at auction and only have current new merchandise. The store looks like a camping world space with about 15% of the stock. Very empty shelves.
  17. If towing in Canada each axle on the road must have brakes.
  18. I think when I installed my See Level system it required 2 wires and I had 4 or 5 wires with the original system, been quite a few years ago since I did it. Has worked well all these years.
  19. After fighting in tank sensors for some 25 years I installed SeeLevel system which has the sensor strip on the outside of the tank. Very accurate and give levels in percentages.
  20. Use hydrogen peroxide about 1 pt to 10 gal water into an empty fresh water tank. Run the pump until all faucets have the treated water coming out. Very effective on smelly water. Since the hydrogen peroxide dissipates on its own, just go ahead and fill the tank and use it.
  21. There are jack wheels that pivot down and then crank up to lift the tongue. For that weight they have two casters.
  22. The swollen cables is the corrosion buildup, not a good thing. When you replace everything put a protective coating of some sort on the terminals. I prefer a spray that has a red tint to it and seals out the oxygen and prevents corrosion.
  23. We use to have C to C but never could get into another campground. They only have to take a certain percentage of their spaces depending on how many members they had in the system. We are into Thousand Trails now and this year since May we have used 72 nights in the system. We can stay for 3 weeks and they go to another for 3 weeks, all without any daily fees. Our annual fee is $585.
  24. We have used both. One test I was told about was that the some of the home brands break up easier than the RV paper. Not sure what the RV paper is supposed to do better.
  25. What is your price range? I've seen diesel pushers starting at $10k.
