  1. A call to Flexsteel Tuesday morning shOuld answer that question.
  2. No cabin fever here in the Hill Country, 60 degrees and beautiful blue skies. We've been out cutting cedar and worked up a sweat. I'll been bring firewood to the back porch a little later. Carl......shame on you. I need to ask, how did you find out that formation? Never mind, Alabama is the true champion unless Clemson beats them.
  3. Thinking so more about this, are you referring to the Horton fan clutch for the Cummins engine? If so, those are readily available as it is problematic for the ISB engine. It's hard for me to believe Cummins can no longer provide parts for a 6-8 year old engine. I hope you come back with some more information. On edit: The 2011 Ventanas were built on the Freightliner chassis. The Spartain chassis is not available until you get to the Dutch Star line. May I ask which model you have and engine horsepower?
  4. Sounds like you have a lot of chassis issues and issues with the components used in many different motor homes. I would really be ticked at Spartin if I were you. I'm curious what leveling jack company is no longer supporting a six year old product. Have you contacted Newmar customer service?
  5. I've had a Newmar since August. What you've heard about comfort drive is not hype, it's the real deal. Unfortunately for you, the used market is tight at this time and Newmar is not accepting anymore orders for 2018's. A friend ordered in Nov with a June delivery promise. The Newmar 's easily fill your requirements both mechanically and with the comforts of home. My experience with the comfort drive has been awesome. Wind is not an issue and where I used to drive max of 300 miles per day, I've recently driven 500. Was I tired, sure, but I could have never done it in my previous pusher without near exhaustion. My wife drove our previous motorhome one time and said never again, she likes to drive the Newmar and it is 44' vs 38'.
  6. Kind of scary the oil pressure gauge showed good oil pressure with a bad sending unit.
  7. WAIT.....stop and hold the press. A bad oil pressure switch caused the low coolant alarm or did you just think it was the alarm low coolant going off? The only time my low coolant light and alarm came on on my old motor home a few seconds later I get a message engine shutting down. This happened directly in front of the Foretravel plant and yes, she spent her time looking at those million dollar babies while I made a roadside repair.
  8. Not to stray too far off topic but are you guys using 35 inch blades? I'm thinking I'll go with 31 inch when it's time to replace. Of course if I had Carl and Hermans bucks, I'd just pay someone to do it for me. I'm glad I have bottom mount, Carl.
  9. So, does a Cat engine have that much extra capacity? It must have at least a 50 quart capacity.
  10. Brett is still moderating even from the high seas.
  11. Joe, you're relatively new to the forum but you'll soon learn we have a lot of one time posters. Aggravating to say the least.
  12. Depending on where the bald spots are, it either an alignment problem or balance problem. Any noticeable vibration or pulling left or right? I'm assuming you have Michelins since its in the title of the thread.
  13. Carl, I read that as he put $200 of fuel in after the tank was drained.
  14. Or he really has a Cummins, Brett. When I was looking at new motorhomes and jacking with a salesman, I asked what this extra big tank was for (the DEF tank) and he said "its a reserve diesel tank". God help any unknowing customer that may have bought from him.
  15. I believe that was the same inverter I had in my 2008 Fleetwood Bounder. Mine was a pure sine wave. I kept my Samsung residential refer plugged in to the the inverter outlet for 3 years with no negative issues.
  16. Constant Ambient Storage Temperature Shelf Life in Months ≤50 °F (10°C) 36 months <77 °F (25°C) 18 months ≤86 °F (30°C) 12 months ≤95 °F (35°C) 6 months <104°F (40°C) 2 months But like Carl said, how was it stored and for how long before we buy it.
  17. I may be wrong, Carl, but thats why I prefer to buy it in a container. I've heard the same about the truck stops.
  18. The shelf life of DEF is a function of ambient storage temperature. ... Expectations for shelf life as defined by ISO Spec 22241-3 are the minimum expectations for shelf life when stored at constant temperatures. If stored between 10 and 90 deg F, shelf life will easily be one year.
  19. He hasn't been to the forum since he posted last Friday. Either he isn't in a hurry to sell or....well you know.
  20. As far as I know, there are not separate fuses for hi and lo beams. Possibly your lo beam bulbs are burned out.
  21. Check with some body shops or a large U-Haul Trailer location. I've installed base plates, light and braking systems on three different vehicles; first time was about 6 hours and last time closer to 3.5.
