  1. It seems to me you guys are wasting bits and bytes discussing whether towables will be allowed to join FMCA or whatever they've most likely already renamed it just as they are wasting ink printing a ballot - its a done deal.
  2. You might also need to check to see if you flat spotted any tires. Depending on how your emergency brake was set you may have drug the tires some distance before the pads wore down enough to allow the wheels to turn. I know the horse is already out of the barn but I have my wife watch the tow bar and toad as I pull forward to assure the towbar is set and all the wheels are turning.

He has posted a question in three different forums without ever acknowledging any of the responses. Why some people are so inconsiderate is beyond me.
  4. Good deal. Most likely the dealer bought down the interest rate and still made money placing the loan. Win-win.

Is it not good enough because it doesn't allow you to keep up with the Jones or is it not good enough to meet your needs. Either way be prepared to lose a bundle on a trade in. Any ideas? It depends on you. If you can afford a huge financial hit then go for it, if not, you will need to suffer the consequences of making a wrong(?) decision.
  6. Hello back at you Poohbear. Welcome to the group and don't be a stranger.
  7. Those look like my pads, Bill, except I used OSB because OSB is cheaper. What do you have to say about that Carl? Be careful, it was enough to buy me at least a quart of diesel.
  8. I had CoachNet for several years. First time I needed to use them I had excellent service; a couple of years later I needed them and it was a complete disaster. I switched to Good Sams two years ago and I've needed them three times (two tire changes and one lock out) for the toad. Excellent service. I asked each service company what their trip charge was and it ranged from $95-$130. I'm way ahead of the game and pray I won't need them ever again. Livnocast2coast, you mentioned the bill was over $800 but didn't Good Sams cover the service call expense? Sounds like your major complaint was they didn't call you back with a status update on some sort of schedule. I would rather them be calling somebody to help me than calling me to tell me they hadn't found anybody yet. BTW, some motorhome tire sizes are not easily found during normal working hours much less after 6pm.
  9. That is phenomenal, the two times we've been there some places I couldn't park my Jeep. I did drive the MH through Yellowstone from Gardiner to Jackson and only stopped one time because of traffic at a bear jam.
  10. I'm just wondering if there are any forum statistics on posters that post a question one time and never come back. Brett, do you have this information available? I only ask because often times someone will post looking for information and then some of us spend time researching for an answer, post the answer but never hear from the OP as to whether it helped, etc. I see myself as getting less likely to spend much time looking for information which may or may not help when its a first time poster and that's not fair. We were all a first time poster. Sorry for the rant but it is a pet peeve of mine. I hope everyone has a safe but fun July 4th celebration.
  11. I know the OP is asking about TPMS but another just as important item is a EMS surge and electric protection device. I use Progressive Industries.
  12. I assume you have a dual zone thermostat. The thermostat could possibly be failing for the zone controlling the bedroom.
  13. I tow either a 2005 Jeep Wrangler automatic or 2016 Jeep Wrangler automatic. Each manual specifically says put the transmission in park.
  14. You may want to consider this one: https://www.essexcredit.com/home/rv/
  15. If its $30/night for a really small patch of dirt and no hook ups, I'm afraid to ask the charge for a full hookup site. Carl, I think we could make a fortune if we could get $30/night for a little space. I'll rent them a half acre, provide a fire ring and all the mesquite wood you can burn for $20/night. I'll even show you how to operate a chain saw and log splitter at no charge. Now if you want to use the air conditioned tractor to ride around and look at the wildlife, that'll cost extra.
  16. Tom....the topic has been renamed "Verizon pulls out of FMCA agreement".
  17. Are you asking for a lisitng of rv parks that only allow motorhomes? In my 30+ years of rving, I've never seen a park that only allows motorhomes but then I've never looked.
  18. I bet they could teach you how to turn on spellcheck, Bill.
  19. I sure hope they have some answers for you folks attending the rally next month, could get interesting to say the least. Its probably safe to say a huge majority of the attendees don't have a clue there has been a Verizon plan offered. I guess Herman was correct when he kept saying call FMCA.
  20. I agree desertdeals. I keep roadside service as insurance for a $1000+ tow.
  21. Jrock, this is for roadside service not a service contract to repair something broken. Good Sams is $69/year for new members. Coach-Net is $249.00/year. I dropped Coach-Net two years ago when they said the only service company they could find had a 2 hour minimum charge and I would have to pay for the additional hour. I located 5 service companies within ten minutes that didn't have the 2 hour minimum and their rate per hour was less than Coach-Nets provider. Coach-Net would only use the one they first found. I canceled the service call, used one I found, saved myself $15, subscribed to Good Sams and cancelled Coach-Net. I've used Good Sams on three different occasions, all for my Jeep, with acceptable service.
