  1. Many folks do not like WM, but it's a good company. My son works in the corp office. A while back he got a promotion and informed me he'd be working 10 hour days..."good I said, Friday off." No such luck he told me, five 10 hour days! So they pay well and have good benefits, but they work hard.

    Radio Noise

Thanks guys, I'll check your suggestions out next time I'm at the MH.
  3. I'd put something under the tires such as gravel then a treated 2' x 12'. The tires should not sit on grass or black top.

    Radio Noise

We have the standard Navion R 5000 radio, that incorporates AM/FM/CD/Sat, cameras, GPS, TP, engine data, etc. The radio works fine with the engine off. With the engine on, the right speaker is scratchy (on and off) and the left speaker cuts on and off. I've pulled the access cover off and everything appears secure as are both speakers. Can't find the ground. Any suggestions appreciated.

    Headlight Lenses

I use Protect All on my lights to keep them from getting "dull."
  6. Our Magnashades have never moved in any wind. The magnets used on the front shade (by far the biggest) are about the diameter of a quarter and 5/16" thick. There are magnets in the lower corners of all shades, but not across the bottom, none have moved. Roger sends a wooden rod 4' long to assist in mounting...he also puts small pockets in the tops of the shades where the rod goes so you can lift/push the shade to the appropriate magnet.
  7. We are on RV number five and this is the only one that has had tank sensors that work continue to work. On the other RVs, we ''knew'' when it was time to dump based on experience...and dumped then. We ignored the sensors.
  8. We are on the road, and yesterday I had a conversation with a neighbor that has the same 400HP ISL that we have. During the course of the conversation, I asked what they got for MPG. "6.2, with or without the toad." I said that seemed a bit low, and asked what they used for cruise speed...75!!
  9. Magnets go on the inside for the windshield...really big magnets. All other windows have the magnets on the outside. Roger has a set procedure for cleaning the window and applying the stuff that makes them stick. He supplies everything, all supplies and instructions. So far none of mine have moved.
  10. We too are former boaters. Had a variety of boats over the years, most recently a Catalina 320 sloop, that we sold in Dec 2012. Had an RV and a boat for many years, but with our increased MH travels and lack of time for sailing, could not justify the cost of the boat...slip, insurance, maint, etc.
  11. I got my front windshield shade from here. Liked it so well, I got one each for the driver's window, pass window, front door window and a big shade for a double set of windows mid coach. No snaps or bungees, all magnets, very easy up, very easy down. A bit pricey, but worth it. http://www.magneshade.com/
  12. I'll let you know what I find out. Appreciate the help.
  13. Most ins companies will offer a zero deductible rider for windshields.
  14. What Brett said, except I don't use synthetics in anything.
  15. Thanks for your help, you've been doing some serious research. We are on the road, and plan to be on the road for another couple of weeks. I'm hesitant to do any serious trouble shooting when we need the leveling system, but will when we get home. Thanks again.
  16. Agree, the owner's manual will tell you how to use it.
  17. Stay after Fleetwood. They are very good accommodating customers, although sometimes it takes a while to get to the correct person.
  18. There is no dump button on the PG controller. The air dump is a separate switch on the instrument panel. The auto switch on the PG controller levels only and has nothing to do with the air system. That is how my system is different from the other AC models as noted above.
  19. You are basically correct. When I release the air dump valve, the system starts pumping air again. The coach does not get all the way up to ride height before I get through leveling, putting the slides out and turning the PG off. As I said earlier, according to my manuals, that's the way it is designed to work. Other AC models operate differently...when they push the "Auto Level" button (there is no air dump switch), the system dumps the air, levels and does not start pumping air again until the jacks come up.
  20. I did more research last night, and it is operating as it should...as soon as I release the air dump valve, it starts pumping air again. To answer your questions: - The system appears to empty when I push the air dump valve (coach settles) and it stops hissing. - The auto level is definitely engaging and it levels fine, to including getting a solid green light...except sometimes the two front jacks are in the air. - The PG model is Touch Pad# 140-1226. - Haven't reset anything.
  21. I have an American Coach Allegiance with a Power Gear hydraulic only levelingsystem. On my system, I dump the air, level and put the slides out, in that order...per the manual. The problem appears to be once I remove my finger from the air dump switch, the air system starts filling up again. By the time I get level and the slides out, the air has raised the coach so than the front jacks are off the ground. I tried holding the air dump switch down while leveling and putting the slides out, but that doesn't work much better. Two other AC owners (with different model coaches) have told me their coaches dump the air once they push the "Auto Level" mode of the Power Gear controller to extend the jacks and does not start refilling the system until the jacks are brought back up. Any assistance appreciated.
