Surge Protector - Suggestions for Buying a 50-Amp

Regarding security...before this coach we had a 5th wheel with a portable SG. I plugged it in at the power stalk, put a chain with lock around the whole thing, then covered the stalk (and chain/lock) with an old tire cover. If questioned I said I wanted to keep all my power outlets dry. -
The DS would be my choice...but if possible, I'd rather have an AC Eagle.

As I stated earlier, FW makes four models: Providence, Discovery, Expedition and Excursion. There is no such model as a FW 36J, it must be one of the four previously mentioned...if I had to guess, I'd say it's a Discovery...?

They come in various widths and lengths. The largest is 52"x 90".

It seems to me Honda should do some kind of analysis of the transmission to determine the cause of the failure before assessing blame. Weve been driving Honda products for decades and have never had a warranty issue with them.

You said that you are looking at a Phaeton 36 GH, but you did not say which FW you are considering. There are four different models of FW.

Same here. The MSRP is over $1,000, I'm going to put it on Craig's list.

Not to high jack the thread, but since the topic is entering Canada, if you carry liquor, check the laws for the amount you can take into Canada.

I have the same problem with my driveway. After trying different angles of approach and boards of various sizes, I gave up and just don't bring the MH to the house any more. Fortunately where I store it has water and power, so the only real inconvenience is hauling our stuff to and from when making a trip.

Some of the white paint on my roof runs down the sides...looks bad and is hard to remove. Does anybody know if any of the paints noted above run?

The Aqua Hot is a wonderful system. I would certainly not rule a coach out because it was AH equipped. In fact, if we were to get another coach, the AH would be in the "must have" category.

We've had a 5th wheel also. In addition to the other comments, travelling in a MH is much more pleasant than in a truck. We have flexsteel chairs that adjust in all directions (as well as adjustable arm rests and are heated). Also, the steering wheel is adjustable as are the pedals.

Saw this definition of an RVer on another forum: "A guy with a $500,000 MH looking for a free place to camp."

We used to stay at Ameristar. However, after two separate multi day stays we were double billed, and it took quite a while to get refunded the over payment. Plus, in many of their spaces it is hard to get level. We now stay in Clinton, MS, about eight miles west of Jackson, at Springridge RV Park. Close to I 20, easy off and on. www.springridgemhp.com

Will it affect the speedometer or Allison shift points?

Our AC has the entire kitchen on a slide...stove, sink and refer...no problems at all.

PG will email you any publication you need...you have to request it from them in an email, they won't talk to you on the phone unless you are a dealer.

When climbing the mountains be prepared for the V10 to be screaming at high RPM...won't hurt it...just loud.

If you absolutey must have a 4wd, get a Jeep. If you want good all around reliable, versatile and economical transportation, get a CRV. -
Extended Warranties for Class A Diesel Motorhome
five replied to DennisSolow's topic in Extended Service Policies
After researching EWs and pricing them, we decided not to get one. At the cost of some of those annual premiums, you could pay a lot of out of pocket expenses. -
When Cummins says don't use something...I don't use it.

I treat my Diamond Shield like the rest of the coach. It gets washed and waxed along with everything else...looks fine.

I binged "wordforce diesel" and "workforce diesel" nothing came up for either one.
