  1. tngle, You can get in with your key and then I would try to reset the code. It sounds like it may have been deleted. You can reuse the same code you had. Just go through the steps used to set the code. Herman
  2. Oldgrape, Waco has had some very cold weather this year. What would be your thoughts on say Corpus Christi ? I know it is farther south but is has a much warmer climate and there is NSA Corpus Christi. Welcome to your upcoming retirement. Herman
  3. First, Welcome to the Forum. The Escapee's Mail forwarding out of Livingston, Texas seems to be very good for a lot of folks. You can feel that they will be there for a long time. Some others seem to be going good for a period of time then something goes awry. If we are going to be gone for an extended period of time I personally would have the mail forwarded to my son's house. Have him sort it and toss all the political, charity, hearing aid, grocery flier's and all other junk out. Then when we know where we will be we would have him send it to our next destination. Good luck and enjoy your travels. Herman
  4. What is not a bad idea would be to have one pedestal serve two coaches. The coaches could be parked for example one going north and the other going south, drivers to drivers side. Doing this would allow two coaches to have their passengers sides facing each other giving them large patios. This would also lower the cost of installing the utilities by only having to setup serving two sites. Oh well that may be why people aren't beating down my door to design RV Parks. My DAIs. Herman
  5. No disrespect to either Class B or Class C coaches. But Manufacturers begin both with the plainest units available and then build on them. Those units had absolutely zero insulation and possibly no heat shields over the catalytic converters and mufflers. In other words they made a silk purse out of a sow's ear and they do make some nice looking vehicles. Herman
  6. Have no idea, but that is what my friend Wayne B. said is in his. Herman
  7. Not so much as the dog house in a Gas Coach but still the cover (not removable) is still protruding into the cab. Had several Vans and if you leaned your leg against the box it would be very warm. Good in the winter, bad in the summer. Herman
  8. Carl, I think Joe meant from the dog house when he had a Class "C". One of the reason some of the older cars were so quite was that they were under coated. I remember taking the door panels off of several cars and painting the inside of the door with undercoating. Black gueie paint that was really thick, but it helped to deaden the road noise. Back to Archie, "Ah those were the Days". Herman
  9. Wayne, When you call A/H asks them if you need to do the same on an Propane unit. A friend of mine has a 2018 all Electric Entegra with a Propane unit in it. Just curious. Herman
  10. Sorry, I miss read your itinerary stops, it looked like it was a 21 day trip. Sound like a plan. Herman
  11. Diana, It looks as if you have yourself a fairly ambitious plan. My only concern is that it looks as if you will be traveling most everyday and not being able to see any thing but the view out your windshield. We have always tried to make our plans to travel to a point we would like to visit, spend the night, visit the area, then spend the night and travel the next. Couldn't tell if day 4 is Pueblo of Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs has the Olympic Training Canter and the Air Force Academy both really two places to visit. Cheyenne is only really good for us since our kids and grand kids live there. In Custer SD you have Mt Rushmore which is not to be missed and you can always visit Sturgis unless you are going the first of August . Really bad time. you are going to be very close to Yellowstone on day 8. Can't take you further but Wildebill , Tom & Louise and several others can help from there. Hope you have a great trip. Drive Safe. Herman
  12. Tiffin10, M&G Engineering in Athens Texas Makes a Braking System for the 2010-2017 Chevrolet Equinox. It is their P/N 403 ET. Their unit requires no electrical hook except for the Brake Away that has no draw util the Brake Away is needed. 903-675-2812 or montymg@live.com Herman
  13. If you are in Casa Grande RV Resort, have a good breakfast for me. They cook breakfast several mornings a week. They have a movie night each week and a lot more. it was a really nice park. We didn't get to the spring training sites. Have fun and enjoy. Herman
  14. Brewers, are those people that works in a brewery? Enjoy Spring Training, is it in Surprise, AZ? Herman
  15. Several thoughts come to mind. 1) I noticed she had sorta of a smile on her face. She knows the insurance premiums are paid. 2) She is saying to him, "YOU had to have a Back in site and would not listen to me when I said STOP! Herman
  16. Take notes Gents. This post was started over three years ago, almost longer than Gillian's Island was on TV. Herman
  17. Richard, On our first coach we only had a Converter/Charger. To operate the TV, Microwave or coffee pot you either had to be on shore power or have the generator running. It served us well till we found about coaches with Inverters. We can now dry camp with the refrigerator running and coffee ready when we wake up. Now I do run the gen. for about 1 hour before we retire and again when we getup. It's like wearing a belt with suspenders just to be on the safe side. Herman
  18. If the kit requires power and your battery discharges, what does that do to the kit????? Does the wobble return until the Battery is recharged? Herman
  19. Kay, You may already know this but I use my Garmin GPS for my Speed indicator it is more accurate than my Speedometer. Herman
  20. Nan, Sorry for the loss of you dog. Hope the foot has healed enough to head South. We have all gone around and around and failed to ask you on important question. What make is your coach, year, model and engine you have. This will help better answer your question. You may already have adequate equipment and just need some fine tuning or you may need more or different equipment. Let us know. Herman
  21. Sorry gc, the military Fam camps are for Active duty, Retired or 100% disabled Veterans. However if you are traveling with one of the aforementioned you may be their guest and park with them. They must be parked for the same time as you. and you must leave when they leave. Herman
  22. Talk about an original "Bus Nut". Good story Richard. Herman
  23. Poche's RV Park and Fishing Camp?? Herman
  24. Wayne, you have received some very sound advice. However the tech that services my unit Lloyd De Gerald says to run it at least once a month. If needed to, run the thermostat up to 80 degrees or enough to make the unit come on and then let it run for 20 to 30 minutes. It is the same with your generator. At least once a month under load. This helps keep them both in proper working order. You may already know it but here is how the Aqua Hot cycles. When you turn it on, the first thing you will hear is the internal blower come on to clear any gases that may have accumulated in the combustion chamber and then the burner will ignite. When it completes the heating and goes off it will repeat the cycle. Burner off and blower will clear the chamber of residual gases. The Aqua Hot is a wonderful unit when operating properly and pia when not. The DW loves it because it heats without the loud noise you have from the heat pumps. Herman
  25. No, no, Brisket is also to die for. Slow cooked over Mesquite, sliced on an open bun with a good KC sauce and a bit of sweet relish. M-m-m! My meal everyday would be if I could, 3 Eggs over easy with real Hash Browns, and White Toast with real butter and Blackburn's Peach Preserves for breakfast. Open Sliced Brisket Sandwich, Fried Okra and Potato Salad with a dish of Peach Cobbler for Lunch. And to top the day off, Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potato and cream gravy along with fresh Green Beans ending with Sweet Potato Pie with real Whipped Cream. I just gained 4 pounds writing this.
