  1. Thanks for all help and suggestions. As soon as Joe slows down from Dr's visits I will have him look further. Herman
  2. Excellent advice, "SAFETY FIRST ALWAYS" Big K let us know what you find Be Safe. Herman
  3. Harley, Welcome to the Forum. Sounds to me like the rear slide has jumped a notch and may need to re-synchronized like you had done on the front. Check with W/B an see if there is another recall on the rear. Herman
  4. Texbon, Sorry but we get it, didn't need to post it two times. Once is enough. Your post will come up in "Unread Content". Herman
  5. Thanks Kay and Blake. Good thoughts and nice pictures. Herman
  6. Me 2 and waiting. We will get it when they are ready. Herman
  7. Thanks Rich. As I said, Joe looked at the schematic for the power reel and knows that there is a fuse some where. I will be talking with him this evening after he has a small medical procedure. Will let you know what he finds. Thanks, Herman
  8. Texas Farm Bureau, three vehicles including MH, Full coverage on all three, with $200.00/500.00 deductible all for just over $2,200.00 per year. We also have the Farm covered with them also on a seperate policy. Didn't go up a penny from last year. Just got the renewable this week. Checked progressive at the end of November and they were $3,100.00 just for the MH. Sorry Progressive. Herman
  9. Thanks Ray. Went through every fuse in Joe's front panel. each and every fuse tested good with a volt meter on both sides of each fuse. Joe said that his schematic shows a fuse for the reel. but as always it doesn't show a location. He is down in his back at this time and lives 250 miles away so I can't run over to help. I am not sure if his reel is an actual reel or a drum where the cable coils up in like mine. In my coach there are two boxes in the rear, one on each side. One contains the Battery Booster solenoid. I will have him check to see if he has the same two boxes. Maybe one contains the fuse. As far as the bad gear, he can not hear the motor running when he toggles he switch. Just wish I was closer to help him. Herman
  10. A friend of mine has a 2004 Holiday Rambler Navigator 45 footer with a Power Cord Reel in the rear corner of drivers side. His power cord reel is not working and he would like to fine the fuse that his schematic says he has. Does anyone know where the fuse might be located? Joe will be grateful for any help. Herman

  12. Shiney coach with a bit of chrome or Rat Rod Coach, hmmm? I will go with a small bit of Bling any day over flat black any day. I think Wayne will agree after the great job he showed that he did with Blue Magic on his rims. Besides a shiney coach helps getting into some parks. Home for a month, wow. Herman
  13. Richard, You will not find pop ups joining FMCA. In Indianapolis the governing board decided that for FMCA an RV is a self contained vehicle with a Kitchen (Cooking) facilities, Sleeping accommodations and a permanently plumbed in toilet and shower. I am sorry that I don't have the exact wording but it excludes tents and pop up. I for one may or may not have wanted towables. But I will go by the vote of the membership. Every member had the opportunity to cast their vote. It is obvious that out of over 74,000 member only a bit over 11,000 had enough of an opinion to cast a vote. I will continue to support the members of our chapters, the Six-State Rally Association and FMCA. I hope to have the chance to visit with each of you in Perry. Herman
  14. Keon, I don't remember the number but there was a recall on the workhorse brake calipers. Have your friend contact his coach manufacturer to follow up on the recall. Herman
  15. Find the diameter and go to your local part house. I bought tips for both my Generator and my AquaHot at O'Reilly's Herman
  16. Jeff, I am sorry if you miss understood, but the ballot did go to all members. All member of FMCA had to opportunity to vote. So whose fault was it if they didn't vote? As far as I am concerned the people that had a feeling on the subject voted and those that didn't care did not. The membership has made the decision and I for one will live with the decision. I will just learn how the successfully park towables. Now let get on with making FMCA Better. Herman
  17. Yes, it is a small 3 amp maintainer charger. To use the block heater in my coach you must plug it in the outlet I have mentioned. The charger stays plugged, but not the heater, in all the time but is not on unless on shore power or the generator is running. Herman
  18. As Wayne said check the switch before and after to make sure you have power in and on the out side of the switch. Also check the switch for continuity. I had one of my scorches aka reading lights do the same thing. Thought I was going to have to replace both so they would match. The parts man at Bayou Outdoors RV in Shreveport looked at the socket and fixed the light. It is a 12 volt light and required a bulb with 2 pins and not just one. It seems that the connectors in the base had shifted and the pins would not make contact. He twisted the contact in the base til they would line up when the bulb was put in and turned in the connections. Works like a dream now. Herman
  19. At least we are off the Verizon/Sprint topic for a few days. But like MacArthur it to shall return. Herman
  20. Agree, my plug has a switch on dash, "Block Heater", that I leave on all the time. This leaves the plug hot when hooked to shore power or when the generator is on. Sorry I didn't explain enough. Herman
  21. Mikey, You may take it to Auto Zone, O'Reilly or your Ford dealer and have them read the codes for you. Herman
