TT, Christmas of 201, was that BC or AD? What type of chariot were you driving and was it 1,2 or 4 HP? Herman
-
TT, That could have been during the time of the building of the canal. There were a great number of military personal there during the building. You might investigate the history of the Canal's construction. Herman

Do You Have A Motorcycle With You While RV'ing?
hermanmullins replied to redandsilver's topic in General Discussion
Karl, Have seen a number of folks with MC with them. As you said some have Pick Ups some have trailers and have even seen some with just a Motorcycle lift without a tow vehicle. However you may have to use a small trailer since you have two bikes. Herman -
I am a firm believer that there was only one Fruit Cake ever made and has passed around world from folks to folks since they put King Tut in his tomb. It came to the Americas as ballast on the Mayflower. Herman

Veterans Day 2013: Businesses Offering Discounts To Veterans
hermanmullins replied to jimpat4649's topic in Veterans Corner
Be thankful that some business' offer extras to Vet.s and Active Duty Service personal. I never get upset if a business doesn't offer some discount or other consideration to Vets. I will remember those that do and visit when possible. But hay remember your server. When Apple Bees, for example, has their free menu on special days remember that the server still provides you the service and deserves the same gratuity you would for the same meal any other time. I always tip according to what the regular price of the meal is and not on the discounted price. Again as always IMHO. Herman -
Check Out Our New Verizon MIFI Benefit!
hermanmullins replied to larrypennington's topic in Membership/Benefits
Bill, I have the MiFi and really like it. Your quote "The draw back to FMCA plan is the HARD Throttle at 25 GB" , is an understatement. I went over 25 GB one time and the throttle back made Dial Up look like 4G High speed. I just moved to the Hot Spot on my ATT plan and it all worked out. I have learned to make adjustments and dropped the usage quite a bit. Herman -
Thanks, learned more each day and hope to continue learning. Herman

Thank Wayne for the information. We have, with good friends that are retired military, gone several times to Ft. Benning's Fam Camp, Uchee Creek. It is a beautiful Camp and is off the base and does not require going through the Gate. When we go onto the base we ride with our retired friends. We are planning on a few days there on our way to Perry next March. Will we see you in Perry? Herman

Joe, does this mean that all of the lines after the Hi pressure pump are subject to the reported line failure? Herman
-
Here is a time to have it towed or trailer-ed to the dealer. Should not try to restart it again. Herman

gkozlo, Welcome to the Forum. Need a bit more information. What make of coach does your brother have, model, size, gas or diesel (full or empty) and what is in his tank calling for removal? With this information there may be a solution other than removal. Herman

Are we speaking of the individual lines from the pump to each cylinder? I am not that familiar with the diesel fuel supply system. What might be the PSI from the injector into each cylinder? If it is close to 40,000 PSI could that erode tops of pistons and even cylinder walls? You can see by my questions I know ever little about Diesel Engines. Herman

That would not be volunteering, that would Involuntary Servitude. Herman

How far back are the failing parts going? As in manufacturing of the engines and are the failures across all manufacturers ? Herman

Installing Ground Effects Surround Exterior LEDs
hermanmullins replied to Rewillia's topic in Type A motorhomes
When and where you decide to tap into the wiring loom remember most all of your clearance lights are wired with 16 to 18 gauge wire. You can easily over load the circuit. So be careful where you obtain the source of power for your under carriage lighting. IMHO Herman -
Joe, Do you think these failures are due to too much Bio-Diesel? Causing seal and hose disintegration. Herman

When we speak of deductions, I volunteer at the Veterans Hospital & Clinic in Bonham, Texas. I can deduct the mileage I drive round trip each time got to volunteer. However when I volunteer for a not for profit like FMCA and drive over H*** and half of Georgia I can't deduct one penny. I laugh when I tell folks that I spend 8 to 10 thousand dollars a year to volunteer. But heck I enjoy it so much I would do it for free, What am I saying I do!. Herman

Brett, There are some key words in the explanation in RV Business paper. "Allow Mortgage Interest and deductions on LOANS totaling up to $750,000 for primary residence AND second HOMES, including RV;" LOANS was Plural is an indication of both Primary and second** and I also noticed HOMES was also Plural. In the past it allowed interest on Primary and one second Vacation Home or RV which could include boats capable of living aboard. I don't know if the statement was direct from the Law or was just paraphrased by the article. My one observation was in the picture I saw on a picture showed what appeared to be the new law in more that 3 bound books, and they were not thin. What I saw would make "War & Peace" look like a paper back. I guess here again we wont know until we know. Herman
