  1. Carl, I am sorry but I believe this is a fabrication just to stir up trouble. Herman
  2. That would be the true meaning to BoonDocking. Herman
  3. Bobby, Thanks for the update on your issue. Anytime a topic has a good outcome it is nice to know the how, what, when and where. Again thanks. Herman
  4. If you haven't started it how are you sure that it is not true? Not trying to smart just asking. Also all this time I had been thinking you had a "V" belt. Sorry if my questions sounded strange. Herman
  5. Give Monty a call at 902-675-2812 and ask the trade in value. You can get two units, a new unit with a life time warranty or a remanufactured unit with a life time warranty. The reman. will save you a bunch. Herman
  6. Lloyd Degerald services mine unit several times. Mine also would not keep running. Lloyd discovered a cracked photo cell. Part was $192.00 and was replaced while he did the annual service at no extra cost. Herman
  7. For Dish SD reception you use both satellites 110 and 119 to receive HD reception you must have 3 LNB dish to pick up all 3 satellites 110, 119 and 128. Dome satellite domes have only one LNB and can only receive SD TV. To my knowledge no one has yet made roof mount dome that can utilize the 3 LNB's required. The Winegard Traveler is the unit we have and it works very well. The reason we went whit Winegard is because that is what w have at home. Herman
  8. RR, If you have the Blue OX Tow Bar you can use it for your truck if it rated high enough and your receiver is also rated for your truck. You can get the base plates for your truck from Blue OX. If you had your M&G Brake removed you can trade it in. Your are correct that it can be expensive if you have to replace it all new. Good luck, Herman
  9. Rich answered the question. I am not too sure what the others mean to the question. Crock pots? Wash boards? Taking off the cloths before washing then? Then someone questioning the responses (me). Man we all need that second cup of coffee. Herman
  10. Joe, did you replace the the fan belt? How is the tension on the Idler Pulley? If the belt is old and there isn't enough tension the belt may flap around and cause it to flop off. And as DD said check the alignment. I would do this before modifying any brackets or surfaces. Herman
  11. "Mental House" Ah Horacio, I remember it well. Why is it that I can remember where I set in Mrs. Press's Math class room in 1954, but can't remember where I put the tape measure I laid down in the shop 3 minutes ago? Herman
  12. Have had Coach Net since we began RVing. Have had good results the few time I have needed them. In my opinion they are all good but each have their bad points. The one bad point that I see is coverage (aka network of providers). Though I have never had AAA, I see them is having the best coverage across the country. Only because they have been around for so long. The first time I called Coach Net due to a blow out they responded very quickly. The problem was that their tire service provider was 45 miles away and it was on Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving. He was on the south side of Dallas, we were 35 miles north of Dallas and it was 4:30 PM. He would have been 4 hours minimum. I called and canceled the call and had my local tire shop (3 miles away and a friend) come switch some tires around and I was able to drive to their shop for repair, 45 minutes tops. And Coach Net sent me a check to cover the service. As I said they all are good but Coverage is the biggest draw bark. Hope all had a Safe Labor Day. Please say a prayer for all the folks effected by Harvey. Herman
  13. Carl, Just read your post.😯 I can't wait to hear you explain it tomorrow evening at Happy Hour. Herman
  14. Glad you found the problem. Thanks for letting us know you got it fixed. Herman
  15. Point taken. If it were anything else I would put this () up, but I am never embarrassed using GOD in any situation. He has always made my travels smoother. Herman
  16. Bennie Thanks for the information. I will be replacing mine next year. Good to know where you got yours. Herman
  17. Ollie, It won't be easy no matter what you do. Is your ceiling vinyl or the carpet (aka fuzzy)? The head liner should be put in as panels and secured with trim straps. The best way is to remove the liner then peal back the fabric then remove the dryed adhesive. As Rich said the old adhesive drys out and must bè removed. It is dry and new adhesive will not stick to is. I agree with Rich, see if you can find a shop that remodels RVs. Herman
  18. 1918 check, 2017 check and now 2023, can't wait. If you have seen one you have seen them all. (again) See you soon Carl. Herman
  19. Richard, Welcome to the Forum. Your A/C units work on shore power or the generator. You should have a A.C panel with breakers for your Air Conditioners. Find that and check for a triped breaker. Herman
  20. On the trip to the last rally in Madison,WI we were in a small town Illinois. Found a RV park (small but nice). Plugged the address into the Garmin. Took us through a residential neighborhood. It was the only way in we found out. Came to a Stop Sign, Madam Garmin Said to turn RIGHT. As a Good Driver I looked both ways before making the turn. When I looked LEFT there was the park. But hay, I still love you Lady Garmin even if you sometime put your shoes on the wrong feet. Herman
  21. KA Welcome to the Forum. Do you have a salesman switch? Mine is by the front door and the DW hits it sometimes. If it is off you will lose all 12 volt power. If it is on try rocking it off and on several times. Sometimes they have dirty or burnt contacts. Herman
  22. Carl, You and Linda be very careful when making the trip to the Island. I know that you want to know about your home but it isn't worth your lives. Let us know how you make out. The same to all of you that live in the Houston area. Brett, Wayne, Blake our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Herman
