  1. Keith, I have a friend in the Dallas Ft. Worth area with a RV Storage Facility that is about 30 miles form the DFW airport. PM me if you want more information. Herman
  2. My strong advice right now is "DO NOT GO TO SOUTH TEXAS AT THIS TIME." They need every rv space, hotel and motel rooms for the folks from down. And yes the Association has asked every park that has sites to open to every one. The Great State has been hard hit but the citizens will pull together and be back on their feet, never fear we are rezliiant and strong. Herman
  3. Marc, Welcome to the Forum. What seems to be the issues with the screen door you have now?😕 Herman

Bill, Having the RV refrigerator with the 12 volt ice maker is that is doesn't make ice while going down the highway. With it off it doesn't allow water to fill the tray and splash out before it can freeze. The splashing makes for one big ice cube in the tray. Herman
  5. Patrick, Not familiar with the Hopkins kit but did wire a Wrangler we towed for several years using diodes without any problems. Since there isn't a lot of protection from the elements behind the Wrangler tail lights I wrapped the connections and diodes with rubber tape then several wraps of electrical tape. Kept the dry. They do get a bit bulky trying to fit them back through the small hole behind the light. But when all was said and done just plug them in when hooking up and go. Be sure to do the walk around before taking off.
  6. Jim, Thank you for your service. Was at Benning 2 years ago a got a personal tour of the Parachute Loft . Man has it changed since I packed chutes 54 years ago. 8 years as a Navy Parachute Rigger. Did my training at Lakehurst, NJ. Herman
  7. What is the different in the two readings? Herman
  8. Wayne, Have stayed in several FamCamps with friends that are retired military. Didn't know about firearms. Did not think about the one I carry when on the road. Thanks for the heads up. Herman
  9. My cleaner comes on during the night but I let her sleep. 😴 Herman
  10. 😰You are correct, my mistake BPS and Cabelas are a good match. Here I go again where my mouth was in gear before I ever started my pea brain. Thanks for catching it. Herman
  11. CW may be purchasing some of Gander Mountains old stores but the last I heard was that Bass Pro Shop had purchased Gander Mountain out of bankruptcy. Herman
  12. Your Welcome Tony. I know that Lowe's carries the spray. Several thing to keep in mind. When working under the coach at any time, be sure and support it with jack stands and chock the wheels in both directions and be sure to wear eye protection when chipping and scraping the rust. A wire brush on the end of you cordless drill may help when you can reach open spots. Herman
  13. There is information in this months magazine about the Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain wobble. It is on page 14 in the Readers Forum. It is something that all Equinox and Terrain owners should read and heed. Herman
  14. AJ, I have seen and used Rust-O-Lem rust inhibitor spray paint. It says to remove the loose scale and spray over the Rust. It is supposed to protect from further rust and prevent the spread. You might give that a try. Herman
  15. Here is a place for those traffic light I have seen in construction sites. It will be red for traffic from one direction and green for the other direction. I know everyone has seen them on the road. They are used in area that have traffic control folks during the working day but use the lights all other times. Herman
  16. Richard, Welcome aboard Shipmate and welcome to the Forum Thank you for your service. Herman
  17. You can always go South on I-55 to West Memphis go over the Mississippi into Memphis. Lots of BBQ to take in plus Graceland. South out of Memphis on US 61 Through Clarksville and Greenville (a bit off to the West of 61) to Vicksburg. There is a lot of History in Vicksburg including the Vicksburg National Military Park. Follow 61 on south to Natchez Mississippi again lots of History and wineries. 61 on into Louisiana to Baton Rouge and into New Orleans. More than enough to see and do in NO. Out of NO and back into Mississippi to Gulfport, Biloxi, Pascagaloula and Mobile Alabama. in Mobile there is the Battleship Alabama. From there it would be on to Pensacola where the Blue Angles are based. Out of Pensacola I would drop down to US 98 through Ft Walton Beach to Panama City and continue on down to the beautiful city of Apalachicola. From there on Florida awaits you. Herman
  18. Pat, Welcome to the Forum. If there is a compartment door under any of your slides, open and close them. There switches on each compartment door to keep the slides from opening or closing if a door open. You have hydraulic slides and they are HWH from Moscow, Iowa. Give them a call. They can tell you the location of the fuses. Herman
  19. Joe, did you adjust both ends of the plunger and put on the lock tite? Herman
  20. I would also suggest that the Brake Away Kit also be installed. It does have an electrically operating solenoid. There is no current draw unless there is an accidental separation of the coach and tow vehicle. I have had the M&G system on 4 vehicles. If you have the unit installed at the factory, Athens, Texas, they will install everything needed on both the coach and tow vehicle. It is all part of the service. The first unit I had installed in Athens, I watched very closely and have been able to install or switch it from one vehicle to another myself. Herman
  21. N2, Several companies make tow bars with base plates the bolt to the Wranglers bumper. And the Wrangler is a prime candidate for the best auxiliary braking system, M&G Engineering. Give Monty a call 903-675-2812. Herman
  22. Bill, If you haven't already done so have Blue Ox service it at National in either Perry or Gillette for sure. Herman
  23. F324759. You may have an alignment issue on your slide. If there is the slightest bind then it can cause the Pin to shear. I am not sure where you might take it to have it aligned. Maybe some one out there might have a location. You might let us know where your located and someone may have a shop to recommend. Herman
  24. Charlie, Welcome to the Forum. If you have any questions we are here to help. All of us seek help now and then. Herman
  25. Wayne, you need to caution Earlene as to where she sits. Sorry, sometime I just can't help myself. Herman
