  1. Ross, just wonder if the damages to cell phones mentioned is just with the Verizon service or phone. I have also used our AT&T for a hot spot (most of the time tethered) with nary an issue. I see you are on a 30 GB plan. Does it slow down after so many GB are used? Also see you tow an Equinox, any issues with wobble? Herman
  2. Check with your travel agent. They generally have RV storage the same as vehicle parking close to the terminals. Herman
  3. Brocki, I would consider 4 oz per cell per month seems a bit excessive. And as Brett said it is strange that the terminals and cables aren't corroded. Herman
  4. Sounds like you may have an issue with your inverter/charger. Older batteries on their last leg may require deeper charging causing the batteries to out gas. Which can contribute to excess corrosion. Herman
  5. Do you have horn, head lights or windshield wipers? There are several functions in the control box. I had an issue installing the past where one of the connections got hot. Replaced the control box a the connector. When I had another issue I contacted VIP (Vehicle Improved Products). The tech had me down load their PDF file. He then walked me through to steps to analyze my problem. Call them and they my be able to recommend a shop. You might call around large truck shops. Lots of big rigs have Smart Wheels. They may help or recommended a place. Herman
  6. Thanks Ross, I wasn't sure of where and what constitutes a membership vote. However I am not sure the method of voting would have any effect on the number of members that may or may not vote. Thanks again, Herman
  7. Give your local Freighliner service center a call. They can give recommend miles and what lube to use. Herman
  8. What is the factory warranty on the Mercedes? It should be in the neighborhood of 100k. Herman
  9. Thanks Brett, I am fully aware of the high pressure pumps location. Saw the pump and it's location when it was being replaced. There is an oil port from the cover the pump mounts to that supplys oil to the pump. In the case is a recess for the "O" ring. Either the tech didn't put it in or it fell out during reassembly. The Service Mgr. Knew immediately what the problem was on Monday morning. He said he puts a large amount of grease in the recess to hold the ring in place. On my 8.9 ISL, is the lift pump in the tank? Herman
  10. To all, I am a novice on the subject of the fuel system on a diesel MH. Let me see if I have this straight. I have a 2002 Cummins 400 ISL 8.3. I have a Lift Pump in the Fuel Tank that pushes the Fuel to the High Pressure Pump, which feeds the Injectors. The lift pump is just a booster for the high pressure fuel pump. Am I any where close to understanding it? By the way, in route to Indianapolis we had to have our High Pressure Pump replaced in Joplin, MO. We were there for 4 days. The great mechanics finished up on Saturday at 1:45 AM. Just as I paid my bill the tech came in and said we had a leak but that they would stay till it was corrected. I said no. Go home and come in Monday and then fix the leak. (They are closed on Sat. and Sun.) They did, found a very important "O" ring had fallen out. Put it all back together and we headed out. Runs like a top. Thanks to the Staff and Techs at Cummins Service Center, Joplin Missouri. Herman
  11. Mark, Look at FMCA Executive Directors above statement. It doesn't matter how old you are or your mother is. Until the Bylaws are changed we can not vote on line. Till the Governing Board meet and decide to seek a change this is how it will stand. Also a change to the Bylaws, if I am not mistaken, has to be voted on by the membership. And guess what that vote would have to be done by paper ballots also. Herman
  12. Passport America Park at half price? What $13,50 + tax? Looks like a beautiful park. Expectations on future parks may not be too good. Herman
  13. Just to point out this post is three years old and the OP's last post was June 21, 2014. Hope he got his black tank flushed. 😝😷 Herman
  14. Bill There is a tire company in Denton that handles the Michelin tires. You might check with the. Can't remember the name but is out on Hwy 380 east and the loop. They might be the ones to call. Herman
  15. Chris and Bill, While it is true that Seven Corners will not have a commercial transport company drive your coach home, they do cover the expense to return the coach to your home up to $5,000.00. Yes it is more difficult then them handling to return it is still covered monetarily. This is one benefit that I hope neither of you will ever need. Chris it is great to see that you are carrying on with the tradition you family started (F3508S) Herman
  16. Building a Class B is very close to the custom vans from the past. Both take a manufacturer's basic model van and do a remarkable job of converting them into nice units. Where Class "A" and "B" " basically start from scratch. That is the main reason A & Bs have so many more issues with slides and other items. And yes Mercedes, GM and Ford have much better QC. Herman
  17. Yes Bill, it is in a strange location. but when filling you only have to stop with the front of the coach even with the pump and pull the hose close to the middle of the windshield. Different, Yes, but it worked for Rexhall. Herman
  18. Darby, Sorry for your issues. But thanks for telling every one that age has no bearing on what you can achieve. GO FOR IT!! Herman
  19. Thanks Pam. Sorry it was more of an assumption on my part and not based on fact. Looking forward to all the future Magazine article and reviews. Herman
  20. I guess once you have the plaque it is your to do as you please. It would be nice for folks to remove it and mount it on their next coach. We have a friend that always mounts his with screws. This theory is when removed there will be a faded area so the next owner should join FMCA and cover the area with their plaque. Herman
  21. DK, Take a look at rvparksreviews.com . There you can check out the mentioned park and possible others in the same area. Make sure the reviews are current and not several years old. Herman
  22. Sounds like a Booming time of the year, Pun Intended. Herman
  23. Joe I always wonder what may have tripped, blown, a fuse. Some times I will replace a fuse and think I will check it out later. Then I will forget it and never have it blow again. If it blows again then that will really get my attention. (??????? what dune it?) Herman
  24. One other point to think of during your travel time, Sept. to Oct. RV parks closing for the year. Many parks will begin to close after Labor day till spring. Herman
